It's been nearly a decade since we last used our Hoover SpinScrub 50, and your video has been very helpful so far. I must not have done something right, though, because although the clean water/solution tank is empty, there's nothing in the dirty water tank. How do I operate the Spinscrub 50 so that it suctions up the dirty water + cleaning solution from the carpet?

We are getting a new couch and I wanted to get the carpets nice and clean there’s a weird black circle near the wall that I can’t reach with the whole machine and I was trying to figure out how to attach the hose. Having an issue we washed carpets last night. But couldnt get it to suck anything back up. Now our carpets are soaked...i took the attachment hose off and the little spinny thing on the base of it, at the very end of your vid prior to you saying bye, thats not spinning. BUT i do feel it blowdrying my carpet but carpet is too wet for just air to dry it. Ive made sure that the dirty water compartment is securely back in its place and the same for that plastic flap that comes with it for the hose. Neither of those is the issue..there are 3 options on the base of vaccume, which option do i need it on to suck? Also, IF the suck is working properly, should my carpet be DRY After it sucks the water back up? Thanks!

Is it supposed to heat cold water to steam? Is the brush pressure adjustable, or just gravity? Mine seems to work pretty good, but when I turn it off, it starts to bleed water.

It does not heat water but you can heat the water in the microwave before you put it into the unit and the brush pressure is not adjustable
