It's not just that he is technically superb, with the power, the sensitivity and richness to his voice that is unparalleled, it's essentially the fact that he's also living the role as he sings, both in terms of his vocal delivery and his facial expressions and gestures. At the end of the day, this isn't just a song, it's an acting performance as Jean Valjean praying for the safety of Marius the beloved of his charge, Cosette. All of these singers are truly exceptional, but what JOJ does in my opinion also puts him as the King of Kings. I really need to see him live one day, preferably singing this particular song.

Alfie is a superb tenor who can bridge the gap between opera and musicals .I will be seeing him next month .JOJ on the other hand is able to add an extra dimension to this song . His vocal has all sorts of nuances added to an acting performance ,makes his version the best .I have seen him many times and still get a thrill when he sings this song .🤩
