One time I burned a giant dumpster load of wood stacked tight in the box to the top from garage demolition work. The dumpster was huge. 22 foot by 8 foot high and 8-foot-6-inches wide. When I dumped the pile out it stayed intact. In the dark it looked like a one-car garage! I lit it up. Other than the metal content, not much, the ash would've filled maybe 4 5-gallon buckets! That was all that was left!!! This vegetation ash in this video would've actually been mostly drafted up in the chimney effect above the inferno. I would be surprised if any was left at all!!!

You brought me back man ! Love a good Bon Fire ! You've got Cool Firemen where you live ! I haven't seen a huge fire for decades ! When I was a kid, way back in the 60's the best part of the 4th of July celebration, was the huge Bon Fire at the end of the night. For weeks leading up to and on the 4th, everyone in town, would bring something to burn. Old chairs, bureau's, tables, boards, beams . We always loved that part as kids, seeing townspeople throwing stuff onto the pile, then watching the fire dept, light it up. Today, it is very different. Many years ago, around the year 2000, I had a lot of brush, so I called the fire dept to get "permission" to have a small fire to burn it up. They said fine. I said Thanks...and lit a 3 foot wide pile of sticks, ran the hose out to the field and 10 minutes later, a fire truck pulls up. He said "they changed their mind", "you have to put it out" or I'd be arrested. I stood there with my mouth hanging open holding my garden hose. I said "its a small fire" !... and I have a hose right here !! What the problem ?? This young kid walks away and says you still have to put it out". Well I found out, that it was an asshole in town named "Buote" . He told the kid to tell me to put it out. Back before he became a Captain in our fire dept, we bumped heads as young adults in town. He and I didn't see eye to eye about certain subjects. I was against criminal activity, organized crime idiots, didn't like them... and I soon found out that he was a member of a local organized slime family. This turd was one of the most corrupt people in town. Everyone knew it. I complained to his "superior", didn't help. They pick and choose who they "allow" to burn brush every year. And because my family does not approve of criminal activity in our town or country, they black listed us. I'm serious. This guy just retired recently. Guess what we pay him....Over $375,000 A YEAR pension for life !!! With yearly cost of living increases ….And FULL lifetime BlueCross, Blue Shield health insurance. Nice huh ? We have Incredible corruption up here in New England.

Just after dark, I started up my pellet smoker with a new brand of wood pellets. As it ignited, it belched a large billowing cloud of smoke. Purely by chance, a fire truck came down the street, stopped, and illuminated my house with searchlights. I went outside and yelled "I'm just starting my smoker!" It was good to see them being vigilant. Incidentally, the brisket came out very nicely.

there was a tornada that ripped through our town. only 12 houses destroyed 4 were in my neighborhood.
they had crews working for a solid month just to get all the trees taken care of for the 2.5 miles of road after a month of solid chipping and hauling out the crew decided to burn the brush instead of spending another week chipping and hauling. 7 days worth of work gone in one night the fire department had a truck on standby just watching it. theres a nice path along both sides of road where theres atleast 50’ on both side thats been cleared of any and all tress that were damaged or a risk in the future

I love this, I’m from the Yukon and there is very little wind up here. So well get. A giant pile like half this size, and we dig out a fire burn line and set it on fire. It burns a ring and it gives you a perfect fire wall. Since there’s no wind the fire rarely ever crosses the line.

Its a lot of work my friend, I have an iron in the Fire myself. I grind all my slash, stumps and regrind into a machine for flinging cow patties, its flings the wood chips and small pieces of grindings all over the fields I have cleared, I then use roto tilling, hydraulic of course, it grinds the Snot out of the chips into the soil, those little microbes love them, the more they eat, which they do! the more they defecate, Poop,, its a "Win Win, Free Nitrogen" for the land owner, and it creates more heavy equipment operators work, which every operator loves, love, loves. I enjoy your videos very much, I'm building D,R,I, fields every where, maybe you seen them going in, Drainage, Radiant, Irrigation, stainless steel pipes, over head irrigation, wind mills generating electricity for the boilers heat water to warm the soil, Global warming messing with the world food supply or it will, just trying to stay on top of it. yields a longer growing season, Building air tight silos every where too, all engineered and patented, when its not bone dry, its torrential destructive rain every where. Airtight silos don't sound correct, but it is, its all engineered, No critters or insects can live in the absence of air, mold can not grow either, even put in high moisture produce, few hours later, all dried down to acceptable safe levels for Long, Long term storage, Reap them crops when ready, Like put that money in the bank Son, don't be keeping it under the mattress, equivalent to waiting for corn, or soy beans to dry down, harvest it, bring it into storage, lots of time left in the year, roto till that compost into the ground, it retains water, Sorry, I am rambling now, I just love Culture, Agriculture that is! and machinery, Life is better Operating a machine. warren c
