    Mine gets delivered to me by 1030am tomorrow..I usually just use a basic 3 knob reverb pedal for just a splash to moisten up my sounds,but man I tell you what,times will be changing tomorrow..I am overly excited in getting this pedal tomorrow,and I'm sure everytime I turn it on I will have the same excitement level as day 1. !! thank you for this awesome demo of the knobs and switches..
    I am sure I will be visiting this video many times after mine arrives ! I probably won't sleep one wink tonight !!

      @@madiimad I did get it on time and hooked it up immediately..
      It is actually overkill for what I need but it is still badass..if you are looking for a pedal to spend lots of time tweaking this pedal will reward you..I like to keep it simple and it can do that as well..its really a good pedal.

      @@rosskrause3926 . So do you think I can use it for normal reverbs ( rock blues ) and more complex stuff like post rock or eve. Synth wave also? Thanks 😊

      @@madiimad Yes..I believe you would be ok..and it really doesn't take long to find the sound you're looking for..I will say I haven't spent any time trying to make presets,just turn the knobs.

    Joe that's absolutely a great video! I love my H9 and I got the Blackhole plugin too, but in this video you showed me a lot of things I didn't know. Grazie! I wish to see more videos like this from you in the future. Great, helpful job indeed.

    I currently own the Eventide Space pedal and am seriously considering switching it for this pedal since I only ever use Blackhole. I would say that I would love to be able to switch presets with the press of a single button, its a long shot, but I would love to see that feature added to this pedal, at least as a setting that can be changed! That would be awesome.

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ryan, because you have 5 onboard presets, it requires button presses to scroll to the preset you want and another button press to activate it. The only way to change presets with one button would be using a MIDI controller.

    Hello,
    This pedal is fantastic. Thank you for the overall quality and your very clear videos. But I have a question on a specific point : I control the Blackhole in Midi with a Midi/Jack TRS cable through the Eventide Timefactor. I noticed that in my presets from 6 to 127, I can't save my setting changes directly from the pedal. I can save but only in slots 1 to 5. Whereas when I change a setting on preset 6 for example, I would like to be able to save it in slot 6 without using my computer and the EDM. Did I miss a step? Could this be an update in the future ?
    Thank you for your reply.
    Best regards.
    Darius

    Eventide has made an incredible pedal ! Looking to buy the pedal unit and hook it up to my digital piano . But I have no idea what cables I need ? Would you recommend I get the app for IOS, and just use a USB cable? I have no idea where to begin, and this is such an awesome product . Any advice would be appreciated . Thanks .

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you wish to hook it up in mono, you’ll need an instrument cable (TS) to go from the piano to the pedal and another to connect to wherever you want to direct the sound - your computer interface or a speaker. If you want to connect in stereo, you’ll need a dual TS to TRS cable to go from the piano stereo outs (TS) L & R and connect to the pedal with the TRS end. Set the pedal for stereo input. Then you’ll need two cables to output signal from the Blackhole to wherever you want to direct your sound.
      Eventide Device Manager is not available for iOS, only desktop PC and Mac.

    At what position of the mix knob is the wet/dry balance 50/50?

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Mix knob is tapered to give users more dry signal throughout a greater portion of the range of the knob. As such, the actual 50/50 split is closer to 2/3 of the way up.

    I bought the MicroPitch pedal a week or two ago. I'm still fiddling with it and figuring it out. It's my first "delay" pedal and the level of adjustability in the pedal is both overwhelming and exciting. I understand that I am entitled to a free plug in of either the Blackhole, Tricerachorus or Multi Tap. I had originally thought that the Blackhole would be the best choice for plug in for me. But, after watching this video and a few other ones, I think I would rather have the Blackhole in pedal form rather than a plug in. This video just sold another pedal.

      Thank you for the feedback, Anthony. We’re thrilled you found this video useful. If you invest in the Blackhole pedal, you’ll be able to download two plug-ins until Jan 31, 2022. We’re happy to be on this sonic journey with you.

      @@EventideAudio I tell you what, these videos are absolutely awesome and an amazing resource. I have no doubt at all that I need the Blackhole as a pedal platform on my board. Is the Blackhole more geared towards running in the effects loop of a tube head? I have a 50w EL34 5150 head and a Vox AC30C2 combo that will eventually be run as an A/B and stereo rig.

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ALEEN517 Wow, awesome amps! Yes, we recommend running Blackhole in the effects loop, but it depends how clean you run the amps. At very low gain settings, it works well in front. Any breakup, go with the effects loop.

    I just bought the pedal. Sounds awesome. However I cannot get the EDM to function properly with the Blackhole. It loads up all of the presets, but they all appear frozen. Clicking on any preset does not change the screen. So how do I hear the other preset sounds if the screen does not update or even listen to the patches before loading them onto the pedal, even if I can?

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is possible EDM opened up with unsaved changes on the pedal. Check up top to see if you see a prompt that is asking for you to SAVE. Click cancel and you should be able to continue using the preset list without issue. Lastly, makes sure you’re using the latest version of the firmware.

    Is it possible to use one switch (mxr tap) to simultaneously tap tempo in blackohole and tricerachorus using Y TRS cable? Please help!

    Hello, gentlemen.
    Can the eventide be connected to an allen and heat type mixer [xone 96] to mix music?
    I would like the black hole to mix music with my xone 96 and my mk7 technics. is that possible ?
    thanks and greetings gentlemen :)

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it is possible to connect Blackhole to a XONE 96. Use Send 1 or 2 to send line level signal from the mixer to the input of Blackhole with an insert cable. Set the Blackhole for kill dry operation, stereo input and line level signal. Take the output of Blackhole to any of the returns on the XONE 96, Return A for example. Now, from any channel of the XONE you can send signal from the Send on each channel to process through Blackhole. Monitor the result on the A return channel.

    It really is a shame that the notes played on top of the frozen signal aren’t effected by the reverb.
