Please, if you want exactly like in the studio album, listen to that. This one is incredible, and the drums, the keyboard, all the base are perfect. The guitar player is also good ;-)
you maybe cool but you will never be jack whites keyboardist playing in front of thousands of people with a cigarette in his mouth and leg hanging off his keyboard type cool
i like The Raconteurs and Dead Weather ok but, i think The White Stripes was his best project! the original. i think Meg's simplistic yet, sonic sound was a great compliment to Jack's guitar. i am one of the few fans of Meg's drumming. she was, by far, nowhere near the best but, her drumming suited The White Stripes sound far better than any other drummer could have. the White Stripe's one of my favorite bands and i have been listening to music for over fifty years now. liner note: Meg learned to play drums (taught by Jack) mere months before their first album. she was a waitress in a club Jack used to play in when they met and decided to form a band.
This was pretty rocking, but I still liked the original version a lot better. It had that raw, visceral quality that takes rock and roll - or any music - to a higher-level.
I like how Jack gave an opportunity to those great musicians but i dont like drummer to be honest, not because of Meg syndrome but in general he loses ground under his legs and fly to high then fall to deep rhytmwise
Anyone else think the drums sound too busy? Like damn dude, calm down, everything doesn't need to be a fill. Sometimes less is more. The absence of sound is just as important.
+Mike Held (MikeHeldTheWorld) If he's having more fun his way, he should do it his way. It's not a published composition, it's just thousands of people having fun.
Honestly I loved that video but it's too bad we can barely hear Jack's voice. And he's got a pretty loud one. Always the problem with festivals: the sound's not that good and bass' often way too strong
Another great song muddied up by too many musicians. White Stripes songs should be played as White Stripes songs. Period. I know musicians like to experiment and get bored, but I think audience's want and deserve (as paying customers) to hear music the way it was first presented to them. Jack, we want to experience, the experience!
the reason I liked the white stripes is cause they were unpredictable and fast and messy and Jack song like a madman but he sounded to put together he pronounced word right and clearly
He might of invision'ed the songs to be more then what they was when he came up with them but once you record them they are what they are, don't fuck with them later.
Ok so basically you've never seen Jack live. He's always changed massively his songs in concert. That's what makes them so great. If you prefer to sit at home and listen to the album, fair enough. There are many bands u can watch live that don't change their act a bit.
Ya. I think some of the success has gone to his head. Maybe he wants to tour with entourage now. Anyway he can add a bass player or guitar player but anything more then that is just noise.
2 things:
Dude started the show with us leg on the piano. That’s making a serious statement.
Does my heart good to see Old Jack playing a Tele.
Jack White walking on stage halfway through was badass.
What happens between Jack White and his guitar from 5:30 to 5:50 was downright pornographic (in a musician/music lover sorta way)
+velvetdress4bono Well said! Some call it making a guitar talk. Jack made that guitar climax with an incredible sound Wow
You should hear both solos on the original recording. It's... he took the guitar to the crossroads and he fucked it kinda good guitar work.
vibes
Please, if you want exactly like in the studio album, listen to that. This one is incredible, and the drums, the keyboard, all the base are perfect. The guitar player is also good ;-)
Ain't no way you watching this and calling him "guitar player". It's Jack White bro! How can you watch this and not know who he is?
@@officialjohnblue explaining jokes is boring, but I gave a hint in my comment with this sign ;-)
@@henriquemarks ah okay. Didn't see it at first. My bad
The best Glastonbury performance in recent years!!
That guitar solo make my heart race!
they play really great all of them, this man makes me gonna cry in a good way, amazing guitarist
Her violin player... playing with a cigarrette in her mouth. I'm in love.
Get in line friend. I called dibs
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!! Just shreds it, the band is amazing as well.
This is still awesome, but nothing will ever compare to what he and Meg did together.
this is a white stripes song
+Leo B I know, I meant when him and Meg play it... not when they write it.
Feedback boarding house reach is better than anything he did with meg
@@Chuck-np3ss no way. Truth doesn't make a noise is a good song he did when he had energy
Exactly!!!!
Loved it! All of their songs are based in tbe blues so I'm glad he just rocked it like a blues bland he obviously now has.
the intros so long because jack was backstage getting loaded
Wow! Can't believe he got Samuel l. Jackson to play the drums!
Haha
The more he added the more he took away
Twat
@@davidwood9718 ....he exclaimed bravely on the internet
100% correct.
Agree
Music starts at 2:25
And the actual song starts at 3:43
3:43
you maybe cool but you will never be jack whites keyboardist playing in front of thousands of people with a cigarette in his mouth and leg hanging off his keyboard type cool
He died a few months afterwards (not kidding)
is that fucking bradley cooper at the very start of the vid
dammit, well spotted.
literally restarted it over and over cause of that. I thought my eyes deceived me.
Well spotted, Sir 🤜🏼🤛🏼
still one of my favorite stripes songs
NAHH BUT THE DRUMMER AT THE BEGINNING OF BALL AND BISCUIT WAS AMAZING
please come to moscow
What a star!
03:49 Ball And Biscuit
LEGENDARY
Lillie Mae Rische ♥
*THIS WHOLE PERFORMANCE SCREAMS LOUISIANA*
Gotta love his loom band bracelet tho
Jamming I love the distortion
is that bradley cooper at the beginning?
Rodríguez H Momo If its not the dude looks just like him.
i thought the same thing
yeah, he originally wanted jack to lead in a star is born. If you watch the movie you can really see how much inspiration he took from him
W C bro he took inspiration from Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell
more than two fucking minutes lost
Une ambiance du tonnerre d3 Dieu!
and that my friends is how you enter a concert
I know right. Leg on the piano. That’s just flat getting it done
i like The Raconteurs and Dead Weather ok but, i think The White Stripes was his best project! the original. i think Meg's simplistic yet, sonic sound was a great compliment to Jack's guitar. i am one of the few fans of Meg's drumming. she was, by far, nowhere near the best but, her drumming suited The White Stripes sound far better than any other drummer could have. the White Stripe's one of my favorite bands and i have been listening to music for over fifty years now. liner note: Meg learned to play drums (taught by Jack) mere months before their first album. she was a waitress in a club Jack used to play in when they met and decided to form a band.
Best song ever. #Ballandbiscuit
Does anyone know the name of the band members here? Love their chemistry and energy here
This was pretty rocking, but I still liked the original version a lot better. It had that raw, visceral quality that takes rock and roll - or any music - to a higher-level.
Dari kinda played the beat like meg
Hahahaha! Good one.
Holy shit don't remember posting that
Jason Craig Maybe stay away from the alcohol for a while :D
Lol I'm twelve
I like how Jack gave an opportunity to those great musicians but i dont like drummer to be honest, not because of Meg syndrome but in general he loses ground under his legs and fly to high then fall to deep rhytmwise
Lillie Mae Rische what a bad ass chica, comes out smoking a J :)
wtf?..cant even take an umbrella in the venues round my parts!!
omg the guy with the slide guitar in the background!! lol
For blues less is more. This isn't bad but the original with him and Meg will always be superior.
+Mike Held (MikeHeldTheWorld) But if they weren't fill, people would be like "DRUMMER SUCKS, WE NEED COMPLEXITY!" (-Coughing at the meg haters now-)
jazz drummer man, best of luck stoppin him bein busy.
I get your point dude but this guy is killing it
Honestly I loved that video but it's too bad we can barely hear Jack's voice. And he's got a pretty loud one. Always the problem with festivals: the sound's not that good and bass' often way too strong
La version de 2005 por VH1 con solo Jack y Megan le da mil patadas
What song is played at 4:59?
Little Red Rooster by the great Willie Dixon
That is alot of Europeans
Rock on brothers
졸라 멋있다...오프닝..
way too much going on there....
Ireland yes top !
THAT CHICK WITH THE VIOLIN IS HOT
It wasn't broken so why did Jack "fix" it. Fucked it more accurately.
2:43 ups lol
All the people saying the original is better, well no shit this isn't the white stripes it's solo jack your lucky he still plays the classics.
Still love Meg's simple and stripped down drumming more.
crap cant hear him properly
would you look at that, Jack has a new Vixen siren... to amuse him, thrill him, and to be punished..on stage :D
She kind of looks like Meg, wonder if he's compensating for something.
They all look like Meg.. :))
joking of course... Jack has interesting sirens to his side always....
Xxx
I swear he hits the low E so hard it goes out of tune. Still, great tune.
He hits this string too hard for the whole his career xD
still good but hey nothing against the white stripes
Everyone is throwed
I want to know who the drummer is. He's fun to watch and great. Isn't he the one who played ball n biscuit (JESUS IS COMING soon? On SNL...
is that the guy from Swans or are there really two old German dudes who play the pedal steel in American rock bands
jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjaljsldjadljasdlkjas no
Everyone in the comment section needs to get over the white stripes.
Another great song muddied up by too many musicians. White Stripes songs should be played as White Stripes songs. Period. jacked
oh yeah this does it for me, it gets me of
just buy the old records then or trust Jack White or jagger/richards
Mahalo Jack
Rock and Roll will Never Die
Jonny, Waialua Hawaii
what would Hendrix do with this song
the reason I liked the white stripes
is cause they were unpredictable and fast and messy and Jack song like a madman but he sounded to put together he pronounced word right and clearly
what
Love to see all the band equaly weird as Jack
why the fucking is Bradley Cooper in the very first second of the video
The hell is wrong with the keyboardist?
The simplicity of the white stripes made the music. There's to much fluff in this version
Talk about gilding the Lilly, this is way over-done.
you're right but i think one, different group so they're approaching it differently and two, he doesn't want to play it the same way for 10 years.
omg the riff is just so vulgar and yummy too. rated R at least....
The Reason Jack Has So Many People Helping With Him Is Cause He Devorced So There Is No More White Stripes 0_:
No one escaped loom bands in 2014
the drums are too complex , bring meg back
I thought the same thing
Is that John Blackwell
Red > Blue
What guitar is that??
this is so ... meh .. Meg comeback ... pls
Drummer doing too much for me, would much rather have meg just tapping away a simple drum pattern without a doubt
jacko did one too many lines before the song
I love everything Jack touches, but he should stop playing Stripes songs with his solo band, it’s just not the same.
It's not same energy... I miss Meg
Its not as good without Meg on drums
blech
He might of invision'ed the songs to be more then what they was when he came up with them but once you record them they are what they are, don't fuck with them later.
this is so bad... ball and biscuit is a really good song and for him to come out and COMPLETELY butcher it is just sad...
yeah seems like he was drunk... not a good performance. especially compared to pretty much every other live version
Jack playing the tele on this track doesn’t suit it. Needs a much fatter guitar sound!
Someone should let the drummer know nobody's there to hear him smack his drums.
Decent, but the original version was way better
No.
horrible! someone confiscate that drummer's sticks!
Not so good... I prefer the original version.
The white stripes and Dead Weather cool, THIS is fail
shite
original songs were good. he's just burrying the good shit with other instruments to feed his ego, pretty sad.
That hurts.
Fuck off
pmce1 I think the same as you!!
Ok so basically you've never seen Jack live. He's always changed massively his songs in concert. That's what makes them so great. If you prefer to sit at home and listen to the album, fair enough. There are many bands u can watch live that don't change their act a bit.

drummer is overexcited, in a bad way
