The only belt I've got that is similar to a cowboy belt/buckle is an old belt and belt buckle that depicts an old steam powered fire engine and says "America's Heroes", "Fire Department", "New York".
I treasure the belt and buckle because they belonged to my great grandfather who was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years (if not more), and I am a volunteer firefighter myself now following in his, my father's, and countless other relatives footsteps.
That's awesome mt wife is a volunteer firefighter here in Arizonia where we live.
I ended up here because i ordered a buckle with a rooster that says COCKY, but i didnt realize it was a western style buckle and ive never in my life used one and have no idea how to work it until now. Thanks! Lots of cowboys in the family so i would see so many of these laying around growing up, but i could never figure out how the heck they worked, and never bothered to ask!
Cool. Its amazing how many buckles are cowboy belt buckles or cowboy inspired.
Good video just came back from visiting san antonio and austin loved it I got myself a belt plus buckle then hat and boots I just wanted to learn more about it thank again Cody!

Do you happen to know what the standard size is for the holes that the stud fits into? Metric or US either is fine if you happen to know or could measure one :)
If you are resizing a belt get a revolving leather punch. Spin it until you find the punch that it matches throther holes in the belt. Then punch the hole. I will do a video on this at a latter date to go into geater detail.

No not that specific one unless you have 1,000,000 dollars . My brother made that buckle for me for Christmas when I was in High School and it has a lot of sentimental value.
