Good to see you out on the CCM, I was quite envious till I put the bins out and found out how blimmin cold it is! Looks like you're just about coming up to 1k miles, I found the engine really starts to free up around then, and I think it shows in your video. As you say CCM aftersales service is much improved, after putting a big crease in my exhaust (bikes too close together in the garage) I was able to get a replacement in a couple of days. I was very disappointed to hear CCM are pulling the mobile service, I really enjoyed the tips, advice and feeling of attachment to the factory that can only come from a CCM person, rather than an inconvenient, impersonal dealer service. I don't think CCM are numbering bikes now, my Spitfire didn't come numbered, which I'd have liked.
Must admit was a tad on the cold side but great to ride out. Yes the bike also seems to have freed up which is nice, have you had the upgrade remap for added performance? Yes I agree it was quite nice having the attachment with CCM especially with home service option. Does your model have the limited edition plaque or are they leaving them off now? Cheers!
@@RiderReviews No Limited Edition on my top yoke plate, just the CCM logo and 'SM600' I'm not sure about the stage one remap, it's very expensive, but I was thinking about adding it to the next service, but since CCM stopped doing mobile servicing I guess a remap would mean a trip to the factory - I'm on the South coast so I'd not be keen!
@Eammim Ahh ok that’s what I thought tbh…You’ve got a good point actually regarding the Stage one remap, many existing owners would probably have it done during home service. It’s a long ride up to Bolton for me too. Cheers
Good to see you out and about again Jake but thats gotta be the longest lap of Mill Road I've ever seen, although its not exactly the best temperatures to go too far afield so I don't blame you. Maybe time to be thinking about trying out my bike when the roads are warmer...........we need a planning meeting in the Jollies......?
Haha thanks Dave I’d be no good round the TT and yes it was quite chilly. Ohhh trying out the bike sounds exciting for sure and a great planning meeting location there too. Speak soon cheers 🍻
They are doing mobile servicing still. Had mine done a few weeks ago. One of their original mobile techs is doing it freelance, but endorsed by CCM so still official stamp. I had to ask for it though, I suspect they prefer you to use one of their franchised service centres. However, for me the convenience of a home service was an important factor when I bought it. Bike is brilliant on the bendy bits and now I’ve done the run in mileage I’ll try it on the A roads. So, if you want the mobile service then ask for it!
Ay up Jake good to see a new vid, CCM are putting out some nice looking bikes but as you say they have upped the price I guess it's because of material costs shooting up ,will this come back to bite them not sure time will tell I guess .When you look at triumph bringing out well 3 sub £10,000 bikes with the pair of 400's and the new Daytona 660 which was a surprise, and BSA actually lowering the price on the all black Goldie with Enfield as well competition is strong , having said that I guess CCM is a bespoke brand so perhaps they will hold their own nice one liked the drone footage too 👌👍
Thanks Malcolm! Yes there’s some lovely bikes being produced by CCM can’t really fault mine tbh. But seems they have dramatically upped the cost….be interesting to see how it affects sales. Like you said there’s lots of new triumphs available at reasonable prices too. Glad you liked the extra Drone footage..just thought it would make a change from the norm. Thanks again.

Get rid of those horrible cheap nasty rear indicators, what are ccm thinking putting them nasty looking things on a lovely looking bike
