Can you review the HB max fusion signature?

Yes that would be great. He was going to review it when he reviewed Ibanez Kiko Signature(they look very similar, would be a great comparison). But Max signature was out of stock at the time. Now it looks available 🔥

Well since it’s available, I can go there. I’m curious about this axe so ok, I’m adding it to my list for an upcoming review :)

I believe on TH-cam is hard to find really a major difference, most likely playing live You could hear and feel true difference between all sets, compression, distortion, how amp is reacting etc. From this video I hear following: EMG 81 is still most cutting thru mix. It has this special mixture of compression, selective sound thru all strings and stil not shrill. EMG Hot 70 - for me it is most trebly, it cut nice in mix too but it has some upper register that is not pleasant. Probably it is visible more in live playing. I compared both EMG81 and HOT 70 and 81 is simply better in band context. Blackout is slightly different beast: it has this bass/low mid feel. It is not entirely cut exactly like EMG81 but still in band context it gives string selection sound quite good. It deliveres "dirt" distortion in opposite to EMG81 which deliveres "tight" distortion. It is hard to explain verbally. I have never played AH-5 but from this video (again TH-cam might compress sound) it seems closer to Blackouts with one step closer to EMG81, but it does not have yet this tight sound of 81. My personal ranking: 1st - EMG 81, 2nd - Blackout (not far away from EMG, just different feel), 3rd - Tesla, 4th - EMG Hot 70. Thanks for great comparison!

I guess you’re right, youtube does compress the sound on any video. Thanks for your comment, interesting ranking :)

    Great comparison!
The Teslas sound very good! My Gas for the Sc Custom Active is rising 😂.
The blackouts are brutal on palm muting! 😮
But the Teslas have a quick connection compatible with Emg for swapping?

The PM on the Blackouts are brutal indeed, but with a common setup for all 4 pickup sets, that’s due to the output level :) Yes the teslas have a 3 pin connector system so you can swap with EMG or Seymour Duncan (that’s what I did for this video :) )

Wow they sound very good. How do the Teslas compare against the old HBZ Active pickups? Much much better I presume?

They’re way better indeed ! The Teslas don’t have this annoying noise that surrounds the HBZ, you can play clean with no crunch if you want to, and the tone is more interesting.

That annoying noise turned me off from the HBZs. That's great to hear!@@ToroKchannel

Would You say that tesla pickups are better then Roswells used by HB recently? I have at home now Fusion 3 hsh with Roswells pickups and im thinking should i wait for Thomann changing them to tesla in Fusion 4? (prediction) what do You think?

You should watch the review video I have made about the SC-Custom III passive to hear a comparison between the tesla passive PU and the Roswell HAF. They’re very different but I would not say that one is better. As far as the active PU go, the Teslas are way better for sure

Liked emg 81/60 more, kinda more musical to my ears. Not sure if it is worth changing Teslas.
