There is a set up now available for specifically that type of track as used by the designer. It can be found here www.serpent.com/xcart/cart.php?target=product&product_id=11556#product-details-tab-Setups
Thanks for the info. Have to make some big changes for hard packed dirt. Had to move shocks to outside and remove roll bar. Grabs nice and hard now into corners...grab throttle and off like a rocket. Have you had any issues with left front wheel (looking from rear ) coming loose? I have lost three wheel nuts. Have to really crank them on to secure.
Hi Tony, thanks for the presentation of the SDX4 Evo Gen 3. It looks really good and let's see when we have enough kits in Germany. Was the assembly of the belts difficult and from your experience, they the belt tensioning device for the front, from your experience, good? Thanks for the video, do you have any tips for the assembly? #besidetherace
Hi - The belts and the tensioners are extremely easy to fit with no difficulties what so ever. Some have found the split lower front gearbox casing a little difficult to slot into the chassis. I used some sandpaper on the split joints to make sure no burrs. I then used a blunt flat screwdriver to push from the inside into the corners of the chassis slot. It was easy then :)
Sheeesh that design looks absolutely ancient like a losi xxx4 from 2003 this is why serpent is over looked this thing looks like the only thing to make it thru the time machine from 1990.
Can't wait for the races! Side note, why do you think that serpent is not well known on youtube? There are very little videos on serpent products and it makes me a little sad. Driving a serpent rm myself and I'm easily destroying touring cars. What are your thoughts on the situation? Why isn't the serpent not well known? Prob not well known but not widely discussed
@@TonyEvdoka Car is together, just seems that everything is tight. I did ream the A-arms etc, but the biggest issue seems that all the ball ends are extremely tight, limiting g free movement.
Amazing car front to back.. Thanks Tony for the SDX4 Evo Gen 3 Introduction
And as proved today, mega fast too
Very nice indeed 👍, hope you are keeping well.
Awesome buggy, any set up suggestions? Hard pack outdoor blue groove. Really like the LSD setup. Someone was on the game with that design

I am not sure if that's a good comment or a bad one but Serpent is overlooked and this car is just great :)
Hey Tony! That's a very neat set up for that car. How often would you take it to races? Looks like it would destroy the competition easily ;)
At the moment the car is being used everywhere to get the feel and the neutral set up. From there on, its always with me ready to be raced 😉
Can't wait for the races!

Better manual would have been nice.
If you are unsure of anything I would be happy to help

It probably needs a few runs and everything frees up nicely. If not there are Titanium pivot ball options that really free it
