Its why i think Techland will no release a third game and only stick with the new IP they talked about a year ago.
Even if they don't say it because they can't, they know that DL2 failed but they won't stop until the 5 years are done. Until then, i think DLC2 might be the last big content we will see on DL2, anything else coming after might be bug fixes and minor stuff until they leave the game to rot.
dlc2 is the last saving grace for dying light 2,if dlc 2 turns out to be shit like bloody ties, then dying light 2 will never be recovered imo
It’s really sad that it’s come to this. Not even mentioning the fact that this dlc has been in the works for a year and a half.
@@BigKnuckKnuck fr,and if the dlc is gonna be a failure, then the game will just be dead and forgotten, the only thing that will keep the game alive will be the community, and the E3 2018 and E3 2019 projects
This aged bad
DLC2 better come with another overdue physics and lighting update
Techland either doesn't realize or ignores the fact that people want them to rework the whole game.
it would make more sense to make a sequel rather than rework the entire game.
@@lukameklav554 DL2 isn't fundamentally bad, the basic game mechanics like movement and combat are fine though require some tweaks. They have to rework the map, the story, and some of the graphic/art designs, and those are totally doable because the modding community already made some decent progress. Hiring modders as freelancers to help rework the game and pull a No Man's Sky move would probably be more ideal than straight-up making a sequel when the studio is short on money.
@@zerophoenix8312 It would probably be more time consuming and expensive since No mans sky is bigger than DL2, im not sure that the entire game rework like cp2077 2.0 and multiple updates of No mans sky will help their financial status.
But yeah it would be cool if they atleast reworked Old villedor since its so repetitive.
Im pretty sure they know but asking for a rework of an entire game is very time consuming and expensive, they can't just change the story and the map within few months, it will take them years to do so, even if i want the game to be better, i think we have to accept that they will never do that and DLC2 will be the last thing we will see on DL2.
Remember that Techland shifted a lot of their employees to their new IP, there's few people left working on DL2.
@@blackister4768 The current map was put together in a few months using a city-generation tool, while some random level designers already made a semi-functional map of Elysium using no reference other than some early concept art. Their main hindrance to finishing the map is Techland being reluctance to share development tools, unused assets, and early builds of the game. The story will be even easier to rework since any story would be better than this dogwater we have right now, the biggest cost will likely be getting the voice actors back to record new lines.
If it were up to me I think they should just scrap this game and retry with a dl3 or a dl2 reboot
Or turn DLC2 as a whole new game
@@lazyvoid7107 maybe
They just had a complete overhaul update a few weeks ago💀 40 gig update
@Mattwei10 well look at it this way, let's say you make pasta, but it takes bad, doesn't matter how many sauces you put on it, it's never gonna taste good because the original recipe is bad
