That Gardevior was looking pretty strong; Trace is also pretty clever especially in double if your going against a Pokémon with intimidate. if It didn’t calm mind so many time, it would have been a force to reckon with!
Thank you Joey for putting out this content - I was in the competitive scene back in Gen 4 and just recently getting back to it! With that I wanted to ask how EV training works nowadays for wifi battles - I noticed in vs. battles a pokemon’s level is brought back to 50 regardless if they’re leveled beyond that. Does that mean you can have a fully EV trained pokemon at or around level 50 as opposed to leveling all the way to 100?
would you be able to make a video explaining all the competitive held items? as a new player i dont know what any of them do or why certain Pokémon should use certain held items.
Yoo awesome content dude. I heard that Probopass is one of the only mons that has access to Body Press so it would be cool to see it in battle! Otherwise I love watching the battles dude they make my night every time!
@@Ckggg there are different tiers of pokemon battling. Ubers you can use stuff like mewtwo, groudon, kyogre. But they arent allowed in OU. OU is the most common. Then theres UU, there are some pokemon from OU not allowed in UU, like latios garchomp breloom etc. OU stands for overused, its the most popular category for pokemon battling.
i'm a bit surprised at the gardy play. i think continuing to cm would have been ok assuming you didn't switch and didn't have any other physical moves besides sucker punch, b/c you can wait for the kec to wake up, then sleep it and then kill it on the guaranteed turn of sleep. that being said, that also assumes that you aren't going to switch or have any other physical (non-drain punch) moves, so idk about setting up overall...
Off topic from vid which is still nice BTW I don't understand why volt tackle raichu isn't allowed on latter in bdsp if raichu get volt tackle in game through breeding?
I’ve started watching all these competitive videos and i’ve really wanted to try playing it myself this content is really entertaining and i’ve been binge watching the showdown videos. I wanted to know if anyone could help me with my team i don’t really know what movesets to use or if i need to swap a pokemon out but i’m using Infernape , Donphan , Weavile , Garchomp , scizor and rotom wash i’m mostly using my favorites i’m a casual player
I mean, I'm no PokeAim but I'll try and help a little! Most important to get the Basics of the Showdown (more Pro) format of battling of course. 1) Balance your team as best as you can obviously - try and have checks for Dragon and Ghost. 2) I don't personally but 99% of Pro players use a good Scarfer, so I'd highly recommend it nonetheless. 3) Use a U-turner. 4) Use a Life Orb. *Some more pro tips:* Try and fit in a good Priority Move or even 2 in. Use the 'Volt-Turn' strategy. Predict your opponent well. GL!
In overview; your team does look Ok at worst. You've got a strong gen4 roster so you're good to go I'd say even for your 1st match as you've checked many of the boxes in my 1st comment! Only thing is your team is very cookie cutter and dare I say if you wouldn't mind a _little_ boring (pls don't take that offensively lol!) But it's a solid base for you if you want to get more adventurous with Pokemon like Breloom/Tornadus etc later on. ~ On your 'Chomp: either simply Scarf it or go with a defensive Rocker type.
What a coincidence, today in the morning i hatched a 5 perfect IVs Adamant Shroomish with Bullet Seed and the Hidden Ability in ORAS :D Technician Bullet Seeds are insane with a Life Orb
You have to catch a shroomish to get breloom and you can find a shroomish in the great marsh after getting the national pokedex. To get the national Pokédex you have to see not catch all the Pokémon in the region then after you do that go to the professor in the first town and he’ll give you the national dex. After that go to the great marsh and use the binoculars and you may encounter a shroomish it’s a 10% percent chance
It’s 10% rounded down, so as long as your Pokemon has over 100 max HP that’s true. The main exception is that the minimum damage is 1, so a Pokemon with anywhere from 1HP to 19HP takes 1 damage.
Although poison heal is also a great abiliy, for Breloom technician is its best ability competitively, for it has the hardest hitting mach punch and a plethora of other moves with 60 base power and less it can benefit from, along with ita base 130 attack. The fact that breloom is frail and not great defensively, with many weaknesses including a 4x to flying, means that posion heal will not do it much justice. Better to make the most of its its offense and give it a focus sash. Gliscor uses poison heal alot better for its better defesive bulky stats and its typing. Although Gliscor has a 4x weakness to Ice, it does not hurt it too bad, considering that Ice along with Water are its only 2 weakness, and has great bulk and fast and efficienct recovery to go along with Posion heal, such as roost. Also, in double battle settings water can be eliminated with a storm drain ally, like Gastrodon. Overall Posion heal suits Gliscor the best and Breloom is the best technician user arguably
Wow i just realized how badly they got nerfed. I didnt know that in gen 3 and 4, thay soul dew boosted Latios's or Latias's special attack and special defense by 50%. Now they literally only boost their psychic and dragon type moves by 20% which is completely different. It basically gave them the equivalent to an eviolite boost in their special defense and special attack. I honestly wish it still had the same original effect, especially since their megas are no longer available, and its not like they wouldnt be mons that could still counter them. That would be sweet on either one. Really in a way latias definitely would have used that best with the higher special defense than latios although one would argue latios for having the higher special attack, 165 special attack is more than enough to sweep and get the job done, and with a staggering 195 special defense making the most of its special defense and put some evs into hp and defense then give it calm mind and bam. Although 195 in special attack for latios is even more power with 165 special defense definitely still great, i beileve overall because latias would have better longevity and more than powerful enough special attack thay it would have been better with the original effect and likely was back in gen 3 and 4. Mabye i could be wromf but dam i wish it still had that effect
That Gardevior was looking pretty strong; Trace is also pretty clever especially in double if your going against a Pokémon with intimidate. if It didn’t calm mind so many time, it would have been a force to reckon with!

Can you do a Snorlax belly drum team?
Can you try using an offensive froslass
Ooh you have a soul dew! Is there a way to get that in bdsp?
Sceptile! Drain punch, SD, Leaf blade, EQ
May i ask? Because i'm new player for pokemon game, is moveset on double battle and 1v1 is different?
For the most part but its usually just the difference of protect added to a moveset and some support moves like helping hand, ally switch etc
