Burnout is a major factor in people either leaving tech sales altogether, or they simply hate the grind of a startup and look to go to a place like Salesforce, Oracle, etc where they can make a nice living and not have the constant pressure of heavy personal PG effort and intensive outbound sales motions.
According to Salesforce, 67% of sales reps don’t expect to hit their quota this year. Why don't they just work harder? 😂 Dude, not everything in life is determined by your own actions.
Yes it is you just don’t work hard enough or learned advanced skills. But don’t listen to me I only made 650k this year working in tech sales keep your limiting mindset.
This guy is responsible for where I’m at now, If I never took a chance on myself I would still be working minimum wage. But the bags need be bagged at Walmart not everyone can be a winner in life.
@@TrentDressel I think it depends on the company. In my company, no AEs generate pipeline. They take the leads from the BDRs and run demos, mid-trial calls, trial wrap-up calls, etc
Yes, very hard. Not just having one great quarter - but doing it Quarter after Quarter, Year after Year.
But also so rewarding!!

Trent you’re the man.
Thanks for your support !
If you get fired as an AE, how hard is it to get a job as an AE at a different company, given that you have that lay off following you around.
getting fired can make the job search more challenging
1-2 years of experience as an AE? You're cooked
5+? You're fine
@@boredguy5805 If you got fired after 1-2 years as an AE, what would you do? Re-start as a BDR/SDR again?
@Frederick0220 play it off as if I took a travel break and apply to AE roles again lol, though it would be pretty hard
@@boredguy5805 Haha, good point
How much % easier is an SDR role in comparison to an AE role? And why!
SDR is easier bc they generate pipe and don't close deals, AEs generate pipe and have to close deals

What company do you work for?
Deel
Is that your living room?
I think it's the work floor of his apartment complex
