I’ve been a Harley man all my life. I recently bought a Honda VTX 1800F2. Black beautiful paint. It’s the best motorcycle I’ve ever ridden. It has 31,000 miles. Love it!
Loved my VTX 1800. Sold it and bought a Harley Davidson Dyna Glide. It was like swimming in peanut butter compared to water. Sold the Dyna and bought my VTX 1800 back. Lost a little money but worth every penny.
You sound like the guy I bought my 2003 1800c from. His wife bought him an HD dyna so he parked it with 14k miles. After a year he decided he hated seeing it not being used and gave me deal. walked away with the bike for $2200. I came from a Honda CBR 600 and Honda Shadow 750. The VTX is the only one I have kept. Never plan to sell it. Something about the torque, sound, smooth ride, smooth shifting and just unmatched reliability of it that will never let me sell it. It is just a fun bike to ride whether you want go hard off the line and spin the tires while the front wheel starts coming off the road or you just want a nice calm relaxing Sunday drive cruising around in comfort. It is the best of both worlds. And ill never forget the day I test drove it for the first time. That throttle is sensitive and that torque that could pull a yacht just catches you off guard and removes all doubt of whether or not this is the bike for you. Honda has always made the best motors IMHO opinion but they really made the perfect engine when they built this beast. Also the Valkyrie is probably the same sentiment but never rode. They do sound amazing when I've heard them rev up.
Got a vtx 1800f and never looked back. Love this bike. Looks, power, and reliability. Bought it for 4k with 14k miles. Immaculate condition. Had it for about 4 months and already put 2000 miles on it. Never selling it.
I own a 1800F. I bought it new in 2010. I absolutely love it. Biggest bang for the buck. It's well made, looks good, and being shaft driven the reliability is very high.
I’ve had two different VTX 1800F’s. They’re one of my favorites, and are excellent bikes. I currently ride a Night Rod Special, but I’m always watching for a good deal on another 1800F.
I had an 1800C and recently also bought the 1800N. My girlfriend has a 1300R she now wants after riding my Neo a Neo of her own. Also I have to mention we are all VTX lovers / owners in the family. Her father has an 1800R her sister has a 1300R her brother-in-law has a 1300C and her nephew bought my 1800C. All great bikes! Go Honda 😆
I have owned 3 Honda V65's and really miss them, but...now I own 2 VTX's, 02 Silver, and 04 Black. Love the low end acceleration. I can sit in my garage and just stare at the bikes! The engine is a work of art, and easy to work on. On the freeway, the VTX hardly gets blown around, whereas the V65 would have to fight the wind more. I'm 70, and feel like a kid on them!
66 years old and loving my 2006 VTX 1300. Simple and great to look at. Runs better than my older veteran light infantry body! Heh Heh Heh... Peace Be The Journey!
I got mine in April of 2001. I was the first person in my state to get one. I still have it today and it looks and runs as good as it did the day I got it. 30,000 miles and never a problem!!!
Loved the video. I just inherited a 2003 VTX 1800 from my Dad who unfortunatley passed away in June. Just got it back from the shop and it is indeed a beast. Maybe too much bike for me but I love it. It's that rare green color that I have yet to see on the road. Might be willing to give it a loving home for the right buyer.
Bought, rode, then sold a few different bikes. Had an enduro, a sportster, an old 82 Suzuki 700 GSes. But then I bought a 2002 Honda VTX1800N. When I first saw this bike, I was intimidated, wow this is a lot of bike. Then I rode it and immediately fell in love with my VTX. After I rode it for two years, I reluctantly decided to sell it. Had bought it for $3200 and sold it for $4300. Immediately I missed my VTX. That was 7 years ago. Two months ago, I found a 2007 VTX1800F2 with 26,000 miles, at a dealership, they had it listed as a 1800R. It has a Memphis Shades batwing, mustang seat, floorboards , Avon grips, new front tire , and a 200 Metzler on the rear. Paid $4500 out the door. Nothing like that vtx1800 torque! Have to replace my mirrors, looking for replacements. Any ideas? Also want a bigger sissy bar and a cup caddy. It’s funny reading about all the guys who sold there VTX1800’s and immediately regretted it lol.
Just bought a 2002 vtx1800c a few weeks ago. Has 16,000 miles on it clean as can be runs like a champ. Power commander 3 Vance and Hines aftermarket intake saddle bags paid $2500 for it🤘🤘
Just got my 2003 vtx1800 f. Immaculate with 12k/mi. Love it. Best motorcycle ever. TracknTrail Honda. State College, Pennsylvania. $5,000. and they have more vtx1800 models in stocks.
I have an 03 vtx1800c and it's an absolute torque monster. My cousin is constantly trying to get me to trade it in for a harley, he doesn't seem to understand that's not going to happen
Just bought my 03C last year for $3,000 and about 1,400 mi on the clock. Perfect condition except one barely noticeable ding on the tank. Love this bike!
I just got my first bike and it's a 2003 VTX1800S, which is what brought me here. Listening to you talk about how you feel you got a good deal is encouraging since I got mine with 6900 miles on it for $4100.
Bought one in feb '02. Still have/ride it almost everyday. Before this i rode a Vmax 11 years prior to the XC purchase but, the HOnda is much more fun to ride and gives even a max a good run off a standing start. Now after 20 years of riding the Xc,...im not even close to done. So far,...a trouble free 144k miles has made it an all round best deal available on two wheels. Stay well brah'.
100% correct, the prices are starting to go back up on these, as fewer are left. You can find them from $2.5(higher mileage, may need work, cosmetics) to $7k, but the nicer examples like you had are getting more rare, unless you're OK with high mileage. That's another thing, don't let mileage decide for you on these, high mileage for this bike is 80k+ if well maintained. I see X bikes in the forums regularly with 100-130k miles clocked, still looking great! It's a Honda, it's up to you how long it lasts. Great description too, there's nothing quite like the sound, and feeling of rolling on that throttle and having your arms stretched, it's a very real addiction! I tested the 1300 and 1800 in the same day, the difference between them, made the 1300 feel like a 750, it's a completely different bike. I wanted an F so bad, but nobody would budge on premium asks, so I settled for a cheap partially mobbed but otherwise rock solid R(R for Rescue in this case). I'll enjoy it, ride it for 10k while fixing the last owners bad decisions, then hopefully flip into an F. *Please* people, stop mobbing these bikes, unless you're going to do it right :( you can't use the same black paint for wheels, engine, CHROME, and exhaust...and please don't paint the valve stems, oil breather, final drive relief, or rubber! ...in fact, don't paint anything :D but if you insist, at least do the prep, and use the right product, and take your time.
Just purchased a 07’ Honda VTX 1800R with 22,000 miles, has a batwing shield and a Corbin seat with sissy bar. From a dealership, out the door price with tax, title and tags $5,000. Sold my 04’ VTX 1800N 8 years ago and regretted from day one. The VTX has it all!
I just bought one for $3000 with 60k runs and looks fine with loud pipes, best ride I e ever had after a dozen motorcycles I’ve had in all the rice burners I’ve owned.
I’ve had my 2003 vtx1800c for two years now. Have 44k miles and can still spank most stock $15-20k new cruisers in a line. It’s comfortable and requires little to no maintenance. Love the bike!
Just bought a 2006 1800, upgrading from the 1300. No comparison on torque. First time I cranked the throttle I zipped passed my turn before I knew it. Love the bike.
I have an 2002 VTX Retro, LOVE THIS BIKE at the time I bought it I was going to get a Harley after the VTX. The VTX WAS SO Smooth and fast and reliable I just kept it. Better than any Harley on the Planet. The Paint is awesome Blue, sometimes it looks purple at night almost black.
Was able to score an 07 VTX 1800F with tons of extras last September for 3gz. And low miles. Love it and can't wait to take it out of storage. Northeast winters suck
Still love my vtx1800C after 42K miles!! I bought in 2002 after seeing that same article....LOL. Spent today detailing half the bike. The only downside to the VTX is the gas mileage and range isnt that great. Small complaint for what that thing can do. Hard to believe ive been riding mine for over 20 years now. It was the KING of the cruiser. Harley finally gets similar results from their 117 CI motor. BUT with that said.....my bike was 13K brand new vs over 30K for the new Harleys.
Just bought a 2002 honda vtx ,it's a beast ,well taken care of ,with upgrades to clutch ,pipes are Vance & Hines big shots sound like a beast as well, payed 3000 ,think I got a good deal
I've had my Vtx1800 for about 3 years now. I've put drag pipes, air intake, K&N air filter, pair valve block plates, fuel Manager and a few other upgrades....I love this bike. Definitely a torque monster. Definitely a beast. Cant see myself selling anytime soon. The only downside for me is the horrible fuel mileage....but, I'll sacrifice fuel for torque any day!
I own an 02 VTX 1800s it's aged extremely well looks maybe a year old I love the bike I just put new tires and brakes on mine I have v&h pipes Ive done a lot of small upgrades new stronger clutch for one I've always kept it in my garage every night it's cherry I have 52,000 trouble free miles on her she's not going anywhere I love it ! Mines black
My brother in law who owns a screaming eagle vrod. Just picked up the same red one you showed.he rode for 10 mins and bought it. Just loved the torque down low.its a great bike I want one bad but still paying off my 15 valkyrie lol one day.
03 VTX1800s ...I love the bike. I wouldn't worry a bit about riding it across country. It's still fun by myself to ride. It also great riding two up with my wife.
I just got a 2003 VTX 1800. I upgraded from a Honda Shadow 1100. This VTX just is so so so powerful... I gunned it one time and shot up to 80mph before I knew what was happening.
Hi my name is Ernie. I like what you were talking about in this clip i own a 2002 VTX 1800 i paid $3200 for it i am the second owner bike is beautiful my first bike owned ever and i love it. I bought it before i knew anything about it and i love and respect it to the fullest thank you.
I bought a VTX1300R from a buddy. I enjoy this bike. It's an '07, only had 6600 miles. I just hit 9800. Barely broken in, very clean. Runs like a champ after i invested a small budget to tune it up and have it running like new. It has the low end torque as well. Ultimately, I'd love to be able to ride an 1800, and get to compare the difference. The only mod i want to get done here soon, is an exhaust upgrade.
These are sweet bikes. I have an O7 VTX1300C, and am still learning what an upgrade it is from my 07 Shadow Aero. I've only had it a month, so far very happy.
Bought a 2003 VTX 1800 C brand new from Orange Honda in Ca. I grew into the machine, my prior street machine was a Shadow 750. From the start I noticed riders looking over my bike when it was parked. The bike was illusion blue so I took a little ribbing for that too. However, riding the bike, even 2 up never seemed to slow it down. I have smoked Harleys on it and made believers out of other brand bike riders. Recently I bought a used Bonneville to get another experience and I couldn't bring myself to selling my Honda, wife said no problem. So here I am 18 yrs later with my Honda and my Triumph. Don't ever sell you'll regret it.
I LOVE my 2002VTX 1800S. I’m the original owner. Rode her off the showroom floor with no miles on her. Now she has 70k+ miles. Added a fairing, new seats, straight pipes, hyper charger and a fuel commander. My heart dances every time I ride her.
I bought my '02 1800c eight years ago. Absolutely love that Bike!! Wouldn't sell it for $30,000. It is a dream to ride. I just think about what I want to do, and the VTX does it.
Bro I think one of the biggest things I love about your channel is how you kind of review everything old and new. You're not manufacture biased. You're a cool dude.
I went 750 to 1300 to my current VTX 1800N1. Damn right about that torque. I've had it 3 years and I still get the giggles every time. I got nice Cobra straight pipes, medium sized meathook ape hangers, air suspension. When I bought it, it had a huger 4 speaker and stereo fairing. I removed it 2 weeks ago and I fell in love with my bike all over again. 17K miles. Same color as yours, that candy maroon red.
Just picked up a2006 VTX 1800r2 . I moved up from a Suzuki c50 , 805cc . Skipped the whole middle a d went from 800 to 1800 cc . This bike scared the crap out of me . 2 months later and I'm in love . The weight , the power , the smooth ride . Killer machine.
I sold my vtx 1800 when I had kids. 3 years later there was one for sale locally. Withdrew cash and drove right to it. Vtx 1800 will always be my favorite bike. Best combo of power and style. Got a bobbed off rear fender alot of extras and 14 inch apes. Nothing but compliments. And surprised looks when I say it's a honda.
Sold my 04’ VTX 1800N 8 years ago regretted everyday. Just purchased an 07’ VTX 1800R with 22,000 miles and a batwing shield for $5,000 from a dealer trade in. Picking it up in a couple days cannot wait!
Absolutely..I owned that very same Vmax on your fastest list was my seller's remorse..the power was intoxicating especially when it hit 5000rpm and the second set of butterflies opened up. Just like a lover from the past I still think about her.
Just picked one up for a commuter, '02 VTX 1800C with 49,000 miles and love it. I did the ground fix & a desmog and it could use stronger clutch springs and an upgraded suspension but other than that, it's a real joy to ride. The torque is wonderful.
Just got my '08 VTX18T with just under 5000 on the clock. Prices have come up, but I knew I needed it under me. This bike is still a beast. Yeah, Honda can't make a good saddle, and the exhaust cramps things down a bit, but there are easy and ready fixes for those minor glitches. I'mma run this one into the ground...If I can manage that.
Currently riding a 2005 VTX1800N, hands down the best bike for the price. Still looks current and being fuel injected runs as well if not better than some current HD bikes.
Love my 2008 VTX1800 F1. picked it up in January. had 2753 miles and is immaculate. same deal, exhaust and a couple tasteful upgrades. $5400 I plan on holding on to this as long a I can ride, its an awesome ride,
I bought my 2007 VTX 1800 t two years ago it's the first bike and only bike I've ever sat on I love it I would never ever part with it. I bought as my midlife crisis had no idea what I was getting myself into had no clue about bikes but couldn't be more thankful on such a spontaneous find I'll ride er till I die.
I have a VTX1800 R same paint job, but the side covers has some of the black in them. Has the Proton 2 intake, braided chrome brake lines, full Ultimate seat with back rest, manual cruise control, floor boards, Power Commander, Etc. I love it! So much power.
LOVE my 2003 VTX1800R. Around town can dust almost anything when the light goes green. even badass supersports have trouble with it in town unless they are excellent riders. comfy too.
I just bought a VTX 1800.$5000.cash.Extreme mint condistion.Dark Crimson in color. This machine will snap your neck back.Throttle is so touchy.I love this beast.Just like the one you miss.
After 20+ bikes, I still have my 1800 that has well over 5k in accessories on it. I love the bike. V max, and V rod are also in the collection but those are only for a quick trip to the store. If you wanna get lost with a smile on your face jump on the vtx
Damn bro... I have a 06 vtx 1300 as well. It's at the shop right now getting rebuilt carbs and a couple of cosmetic minors. I love it. Only has right at 8,000 miles on it. But I would sell it... to get a vtx 1800. 1800' s are beastly, man. Affordably beastly.
Put my VTX 1300 up for sale and was planning on moving onto a Harley. I had many interested buyers but I could not pull the trigger. Love riding that thing and it isn’t going anywhere yet
i love this channel! especially. when you talk about the VTX1800!! best vtwin bang for the buck EVER!! tonsn of power and capable of 160k miles. Piad 3k for mine at 47k miles and never looked back. still pulls wheelies and hauls ass!! LOL!!!
Hells yeah! We need more vtx 1800's rockin 12 o'clock. I hadn't ventured into the wheelie game yet when I had these bikes. Would love to get one now and see how it is.
This video makes me feel better about my '08 VTX 1800F w/10500 miles. I actually tried to buy, I think, the last new one at a dealership in North Carolina around 3-4 years ago. They wouldn't sell it to me b/c of living in Louisiana (kinda discriminatory); had to go in-person to do the paperwork. I even offered a thousand more, and they were still adamant about selling it to me. Ended up buying a used one with 3k miles for $6500 in Mississippi. Had aftermarket cobra pipes, so I took it. Been taking care of it and running good ever since.
Own a 2002 VTX1800C; owned a 1997 Honda Valkyrie Tourer before that. Two best bikes I ever rode in more than 3 decades of riding. The VTX 1800 is a great bike for tall dudes, ergo-wise, too. Call me wierd, but I also love the throaty sound of the dual pin crankshaft. It's not a Harley wannabe sound like the single pin one on the VTX 1300.
@Bunnyshooter 223 In a higher RPM variant, maybe...but the VTX 1800 was a low revving torque monster. The primary function of the dual pin crank design was to smooth out engine vibration on the big VTwin, keep the centre of gravity low and make for a bulletproof bottom end. When the displacement gets that big, things start to shake. lol
Just picked up a 04’ 1800 that’s pimped out. Good price. Excellent condition. I’m North west of surprise. Love to show it to you if you’re ever interested, hit me up. Already had buyers excitement, this video just made that prolong. Nicest bike I’ve ever had. Owned a red 86’ V4 Magna when I was a kid. Bought another but it’s been beat, wanted to restore it but don’t know that I ever will. It just collects dust. This bike is said to be 774 pounds. I’m 6 ft and 260, this bike is intimidating even for me. But she likes to eat! Boom and Zoom!
My first bike was a 2007 Honda VTX 1800T. I bought it used in 2010 with only 847 miles! I was a new rider but at 6-4 i had to buy a big cycle out of the gate. I was afraid of that bike having so much power! I regrettably traded it for a brand new 2012 turtle slow Harley Roadglide. Now i have to get a performance kit to obtain the power i already had with the VTX! Talk about sellers remorse and a $$$ rabbit hole with Harley mods and maintenance.Honda needs to bring this bike back now!
Thanks for the review. After watching it I pulled the trigger on a meticulously maintained VTX 1800R with under 5000 miles. Paid 4500 which is spread over 45 months and 0% interest. I wasnt even in the market but couldnt pass this up and your vid removed any buyers remorse
I bought the 1800r the year it came out it was undoubtedly the fastest thing on the road you never see v-max's anywhere I outrun all kinds of stuff off the line in that bike in the end I traded it in because it scared the crap out of my daughter...lol
Bought a 2006 VTX1800N in November 2018. Great ride with lots of power but a smooth, well controlled machine. Did a few upgrades to personalize it. Paid $6k with 3000 miles on it then. Would not sell it. Plan to keep it along with my 1980 Yamaha XS850LG triple. My first road bike after riding dirt for 10 years. Still in nice shape with only 15k original miles (fair weather rider!)
After owning a 2006 Sporster 1200 Custom for over 5 years I finally test road a 2006 or 07 VTX 1800. Wow what a beast of a motor I instantly fell in love with the Honda. The VTX1800 has a ridiculous amount of power. Great bike now I gotta get one.
I got an 07 nos in 09, after not having a bike for 20 years. It been the best bike I've owned. I've since picked up (in the order I brought them) a 99vlx600, 05 harley springer classic, 05vtx1300, and 05 shadow 750ace. It's remained my #1.
I got two. "05" 1800F ($3150) and a "02" 1800S ($4500) and by far I like my "05" better. The "02" have the bat wings radio and bags, led lights... Everything that you could want on a bagger plus custom paint job. Even with all that I still love my 1800 F
I got my ‘05 vtx 1800 f3. With Vince and Hines pipes in black and it’s a beauty. I got it for $5k with about 5k mikes in the clock. I love this bike. It’s so fast and torquie. It’s a beast of a bike.
I had a Shadow 750,,,and Now have a Vtx 1800C ,,,OMG love it .. i dont think ill need to upgrade ever.. Im very happy. So much power..and the Vance and Hines Pipes sound Amazing on it . Your review on this bike is great.. thank you
Thanks for the input; I enjoyed your comments. I purchased mine brand new back in 2003. Still in show-room condition today. Only about 5k miles on it; mostly because I lost my friend who had a twin to mine. We both bought the bikes at the same time and loved riding them, but divorce took the best of him and, now that my wife is scared to ride, I don't do much riding anymore... : (
I had a 2003 VTX 1800 S- the retro spoke model, goddamn I loved that bike. Then one day I made the mistake of putting synthetic oil in the motor- within 10 miles the motor was knocking & making all sorts of racket. Hated to sell it but I did.
I’ve been riding my 2002 VTX since their birth! It was love at first sight even it’s as base as they come in cruisers! Was one of the original California VTX Riders and even before them a brief stint with So Cal X Riders. Anyway, yeah to this day (week ago) I walk in praising the love of riding this bike. A friend at work who recently got a Harley bagger and asked when I’m going to update. I’m like what for? Still in love! ❤ Hope you’re well, still riding, and following this channel. 👍
05 1800 type f with 13k miles new tires, windshield, dyono jet power commander, Vance & Hines pipes kykuryakyn hypercharger picked it up for 4k absolutely love the beast
I just bought the 2006 VTX 1800N1 Last year… It is the very first bike I have ever been on… And I fucking love it… If you’re going to make a big bike your very first bike make sure you are cautious as hell and you will get it down in no time
I’ve owned a 03 VTX 1800R now for a cpl yrs and I luv it! Def a torquey beast but also so nice for just cruising arnd...Its nice to know the power is on tap at any moment if need be! It’s no gixxer...yes I owned a 02 Suzuki gsxr 600 for almost 17yrs...While some think ehh it’s only a 600 it was wicked fast and cld whip any cruiser arnd even the day I sold it with 50k miles on it!! Ride on!!
Have number 2 or second one. 1st one hit deer. Knee had some road rash. Walked or picked up the bike and pushed it off the road. It still ran. Insurance totaled it. So bought it again. Same everything, 2004 VTX1800 C, Jupiter orange paint with flame job from factor, but upgraded seat, mustang baby. Miss the Vance and Hynes long shots, good sound. Get there again one day. Love VTX 1800. Awesome bike anyone would love. Just 1 ride and your hooked. Keep looking you'll get it. Have a blessed day.
I have a 1300c VTX My second of course because I had one before and exactly that buyers/ sellers remorse I sold it ! LOL I just purchased my 2nd 1300c VTX 2006 with only 11000 and many sweet up grades ! exhaust vance and hines kuryakyn hypercharger new tires ! sissy bar faring ! Just a all around excellent cruising bike ! Love it ! I will never sell this 1300 VTX I am in the market for 1800 vtx to add to my collection as well ! Thank you for posting your video ! Hope you find your next 1800 VTX !
Picked up a 2008 1800T this past Dec 2021 "Merry Christmas to me" for $5200, mustang seat, sissy bar luggage rack, saddle bags and I think after market towing kit. Im a big guy so I went with a Ultimate big man seat, took off the saddle bags, pasanger seat and sissy bar, its got more of a retroe look now, the towing kit is coming off next and I may add the saddle bags back on for function....Man the torque out of the whole is scary strong, and you dont have to be on it to feel it, it will roll your ass off the back if your not seated correctly and holding on. The faster your riding the smoother and better handleing it gets, 60 MPH your floating smooth as silk! Its a great bike, Im looking at some more custom to get my leg extended more, being a touring model it has limited options on extened control and foot rests or pegs so Ill have to take it to a shop and get it fitted right. I dont plan on righing anyone so Im cool with the Ultimate seat and back rest, its a good look, Ive had a few HD baggers compliment on its look and one said he had a 1800, sold it and got a Ultra, He has sellers remorse also. Ill send you some pics when I get the floorboard work done. Im a returning rider after close to 40 years so I grabbed a freaking bull with this bike, I dont fear it but my man I respect the shit out of it!! :)
Hey man sorry about your remorse. I bought mine in 2010. It's a 2003 cobalt blue that was taken care of meticulously. I don't think I'll ever sell it, you can't beat the rumble of the V and H pipes and the comfort of the Mustang X seat.
Bought mine in Feb. 2002. Only 14,000 miles. I will NEVER sell it. $10,200 brand new. Could never replace it today for that price. Had a lower back injury hence the low miles. But I can still do a 100 mi. without any trouble on a sunday morn. when I get a chance to ride. Best money I ever spent!
Why did Honda stop making the 1800?
@@markmccoy1304 Gas friendly Rebels or GoldWings... no in-between anymore.
Got a vtx 1800f and never looked back. Love this bike. Looks, power, and reliability. Bought it for 4k with 14k miles. Immaculate condition. Had it for about 4 months and already put 2000 miles on it. Never selling it.
Nice!
Damn straight man. Right on.
Do you still have it?
Right on Brother.
Absolutely! All that weight feels planted over bridges, in gusts, etc. It's a nice change from my last 2 bikes.
71 just bought a 02. Incredible
I’m 5’8, 160lbs. I’m looking at a 2004 model and wondering if this would be too big and heavy for me? I currently own Ninja 650.
@@kushalthapa7445 its a big bike. But if you can ride, you should be fine.
Power commander 3 Vance and Hines aftermarket intake saddle bags paid $2500 for it🤘🤘
You stole it. Nice
Just got my 2003 vtx1800 f.
Immaculate with 12k/mi.
Love it. Best motorcycle ever.
TracknTrail Honda. State College, Pennsylvania.
$5,000. and they have more vtx1800 models in stocks.
Just picked one up friday and im in love with it. Fast fast. Paid 3k 29k miles
I’m a Yamaha guy but this bike has everything I like (save for super nimble handling) and this bike is to be respected.
Fucking legend
I just picked up a 02 vtx1800R with only 8k on it with new tired in immaculate condition for about 4000. Got a hell of a deal on it
I have an 03 vtx1800c and it's an absolute torque monster.
Thare a beast of a bike..love that power..I have a 05 retro..
Mines a 05 S retro F spec.2 ..low miles too same price ..great bikes..love that power..
I picked up a 2003 VTX1800 C last year, and it's been an awesome bike. It has power everywhere, in every gear. Great for taller, heavier riders.
Seen any shorter riders on them?
I have one and im only 5’4” 150lbs 😂
I just picked up an '05 VTX 1800C exactly like that except, it has the 2 into 1 exhaust and a sissy bar. This things is a Beast.
Salute
Just bought a 2006 1800, upgrading from the 1300. No comparison on torque. First time I cranked the throttle I zipped passed my turn before I knew it. Love the bike.
I have an 2002 VTX Retro, LOVE THIS BIKE at the time I bought it I was going to get a Harley after the VTX. The VTX WAS SO Smooth and fast and reliable I just kept it. Better than any Harley on the Planet. The Paint is awesome Blue, sometimes it looks purple at night almost black.
I have a 06 VTX 1800F, EFI. Its one of the best bikes I have ever owned. The shear power its has is awesome!! I would not sell it!!!!
Still haven't driven it, but just got my hands on a -02 1800c, can't wait for the snow to melt!
These puppies are crazy. Just got an 06.
Just bought a 2002 honda vtx ,it's a beast ,well taken care of ,with upgrades to clutch ,pipes are Vance & Hines big shots sound like a beast as well, payed 3000 ,think I got a good deal
I have a 2005 VTX1300S and I don't think I'll ever sell it. Love this bike!
GoldHaze1 funny thing, I want a Valkyrie, the first gen. But have a long way to go to be able to afford one.
@@kencohagen4967 my dad has a 97 with almost 500k miles they are amazing bike man.

Owned my VTX 1800 for 7 years. Never thought of owning another bike. It's a beast & I love it.😎
I have a 2008 VTX 1800T3 bagger,great bike,great ride.
03 VTX1800s ...I love the bike. I wouldn't worry a bit about riding it across country. It's still fun by myself to ride. It also great riding two up with my wife.
Same here brother, i have the 03 as well, good luck 👍
I just got a 2003 VTX 1800. I upgraded from a Honda Shadow 1100. This VTX just is so so so powerful... I gunned it one time and shot up to 80mph before I knew what was happening.
Hi my name is Ernie. I like what you were talking about in this clip i own a 2002 VTX 1800 i paid $3200 for it i am the second owner bike is beautiful my first bike owned ever and i love it. I bought it before i knew anything about it and i love and respect it to the fullest thank you.
Congrats on the new (to your) ride! Thanks for rolling through and dropping a comment! 💯🤙
Bought my Black 08’ VTX-1800 brand new. Garage kept. Been wet once. Less than 5k miles on it. All work on it performed at dealer. Oil changes, ect.
Sounds Awesome! 1800c? You looking to sell?
The only other cruiser I'd want is a triumph Thunderbird 1700
Thanks, brotha!
@@JonsMotoGarage No problem homie
I went 750 to 1300 to my current VTX 1800N1. Damn right about that torque. I've had it 3 years and I still get the giggles every time. I got nice Cobra straight pipes, medium sized meathook ape hangers, air suspension. When I bought it, it had a huger 4 speaker and stereo fairing. I removed it 2 weeks ago and I fell in love with my bike all over again. 17K miles. Same color as yours, that candy maroon red.
The only bike I ever owned that I felt like I needed a seat belt when I twisted the throttle. Still have mine, 2007 VTX1800T.
I use to like those bikes, especially the 1800, but I liked the sound of the 1300
03 VTX 1800CC, Johnny love it and never letting it go, just got 2011 fury last week, I'm very happy 🤘✌
I still have my 2002 VTX s I bought a brand new and still drive it haven't seen anything that interest me. It's still in mint condition
Own a 2008 1800c. Superb bike !
I have a 2006 vtx1800s. Love the power. Bought it a year ago with 4252 miles.
This was my first bike, the one i learned to ride on and still own
Just picked one up for a commuter, '02 VTX 1800C with 49,000 miles and love it.
$5400 I plan on holding on to this as long a I can ride, its an awesome ride,
That's a Unicorn, I am very jealous :D
Purchased a 02 model C after a test ride. Checked off many boxes coming from a Suzuki C50. So far so good 😊
LOVE my 2003 VTX1800R. Around town can dust almost anything when the light goes green. even badass supersports have trouble with it in town unless they are excellent riders. comfy too.

After 20+ bikes, I still have my 1800 that has well over 5k in accessories on it. I love the bike. V max, and V rod are also in the collection but those are only for a quick trip to the store. If you wanna get lost with a smile on your face jump on the vtx

just bought one less than a month ago. My first bike so i can't compare it to another, but i love the thing.
@@atticusfuller1392 damn you bought a 1300 as a first bike? You scrong lol.
Love riding that thing and it isn’t going anywhere yet
i am a happy camper again AH, i got 2002 VTX 1800c with 19k on it beautiful bike, this one is not going no where IA. :) Cheers guys
i love this channel! especially. when you talk about the VTX1800!! best vtwin bang for the buck EVER!! tonsn of power and capable of 160k miles.
Did you have to do any work to it when you bought it (oil change or spark plugs -- things like that)?
Just bought an N model with over 7 k miles. Paid 8500 , 2008 fuel injection. And I love it. 🎉
Thanks for the review. After watching it I pulled the trigger on a meticulously maintained VTX 1800R with under 5000 miles. Paid 4500 which is spread over 45 months and 0% interest. I wasnt even in the market but couldnt pass this up and your vid removed any buyers remorse
Congrats on the new ride! Hope you enjoy! 🤙💯
I bought the 1800r the year it came out it was undoubtedly the fastest thing on the road you never see v-max's anywhere I outrun all kinds of stuff off the line in that bike in the end I traded it in because it scared the crap out of my daughter...lol
I just picked up a 2003 vtx 1800c today for $3500. 16,000 miles. The thing is immaculate! Such a joy to ride.
My dad got one in 02. Now I have the bike and she still runs like a champ!
I have a black 2003 1800c, bought it brand new. It currently has 56000miles. It has never let me down. GREAT BIKE

Last year… It is the very first bike I have ever been on… And I fucking love it… If you’re going to make a big bike your very first bike make sure you are cautious as hell and you will get it down in no time
I’ve owned a 03 VTX 1800R now for a cpl yrs and I luv it!
Having a 1300 personally as my first bike, it’s a phenomenal rider. It’s heavy and stable, but knows how to get down
Wish I never sold my 1300c.
I have the 02 but mine is bored over and fully customized. I love it
Picked up a 2008 1800T this past Dec 2021 "Merry Christmas to me" for $5200, mustang seat, sissy bar luggage rack, saddle bags and I think after market towing kit. :)
Bought my 02 1800c about 2 years ago for $3500 with 20k miles and immaculate condition .. love it and will never sell it... Torque!
Just got mine 2 months ago. 05 1800 F and I love it. I’m in north Phoenix if you wanna ride sometime!
Just bought vtx 1800f3 2006 20k miles for 2,000 and rode it home that took 3hrs and didnt have one issue at all but very cool and strong bike
Love my 1800C. Wife has a 1300C and also loves her ride.
I had HUGE seller's remorse selling you my XSR700 but I bought an XSR900 and I feel better now.
Yo! You got the xsr900!? Hecks yeah!
@@JonsMotoGarage yep, the only color I liked was the 2018 red one so I ordered it from a dealer in Maryland and had it shipped here. (Still waiting)
