My son in law who ran a motorcycle shop with his dad told me that a 1300 is better than an 1800 Honda but I forgot why. I just bought an 07 1300R with 2,700 miles on it. So far I'm happy with it.
I have too, 1300, but two of my friends have 1800. So, 1.3 better fuel efficient. Simple technology, because of carburetor. Front fork is simple. Smaller wheels, better in turning. Lighter.
Your welcome old mate, you may be pleased to know that I am picking up a vtx 1300 today (new year's Eve) on my trailer. 700km trip home and it will be a great way to start 2021. All the best to you and yours for the new year .
I cant decide, i keep reading that the 1300 needs another gear,, can it go like 85 and be in he low rpm range in 5th gear or is it already at a higher rev? I onow it has plenty more room but i dont want to be on the interstate at 4500 rpm at 85mph for instance, is that a problem? Thanks in advance!
I seriously hope you plan on outfitting whichever VTX you decide to get with a windshield, because steady cruising at 85mph with either one is going to fatigue you long before RPMs fatigue its engine internals.
Are they both drive shaft? And does one have a RPM gauge and the other does not? And what about the rear fenders are they designed the same? Nice bikes though.
What's your channel that's so much better??? Pretty easy to critique someone else's videos and options let's see how any bikes you have and your options on them

You will enjoy it
The “tick” is normal sound for your 1800. When the valves are adjusted right the bike will have a kind of sewing machine sound. I’m on my 4th 1800.
What happened to the first 3?
Is it normal for the 1300?
Good comparison mate.
Excellent review 👍
Thank you from Australia 🌏
Thank you for the kind words

yeah the 1300VTX sounds way different
Hello bro, i'm 6'5 tall, which of these bikes fits me ? The 1800 or the 1300 ? Thanks. Goood job
I'd go with the 1800 same price range so may as well go all out. Just respect the bike and it'll respect you.
You are comparing an r to a c. The bigger fenders on the r are going to grab more wind than the c. The c is more “streamline”
Agreed. That’s something I did not notice at the time.
All good but hard to hear ya clearly without iPods.
Can hardly hear a word. Redo this again because it is a great topic.
Inverted front forks and 500cc
18624 Guadalupe Shoal
I want a Honda VTX 1800CC sell some?
Absolutely nothing nimble about a vtx1300 R.
Compared to the 1800 i would say so
@@Boatsman2 maybe so.. I have a 1300R haven't rode an 1800 yet.
@@flynnisterreality4393 the 1300 is much better in the canyons then the 1800. The 1800 is good at going straight and fast))
I say the difference is 500cc's
Yeah, smoking cancer sticks always enhances any video!! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
wow, hes had them 2 weeks now hes a expert on vtx lmao
Where in the video do I mention that I am an expert on them?
His opinion is much appreciated
@@Boatsman2 I appreciated your opinion on the both bikes as I am in the market for a new bike.
@@WayRoo34 thank you for the kind words. Both age great bikes. Hard choice
