I'm only in week 7 of the program, but I sound so much like you! I find it hard to be loose, and I get into the details, and I am slow, and I also keep covering up the previous layer with the current layer! So much to learn! It is great to know that someone else has had these challenges! I had been painting in acrylics for a couple of years before I started this course so I don't feel so intimidated by acrylics, though having not worked with them for a while no doubt it's going to take some getting used to again after the oil paints. One thing that is great about acrylic is that if you don't like what you've done it dries so fast that you can just repaint over the previous layer. And if you paint fairly thickly it leaves really cool texture underneath!

You’re literally flowing from the inside out ✨ Secondly I’m so glad you’re talking more to the camera within your Vlogs as it helps people connect with your art videos more ☺️ just try to remember to look in the lens when speaking though as it looks like you’re looking off into the distance but your confidence has grown incredibly and so has your videos. Your paintings are beautiful and good on you for starting over and continuing to push yourself to improve your skill and understanding of the weeks lessons. You’re doing great Charlotte!

I was worried about changing my format but felt that the voice section was so much more personal and it would be better to be a bit more visible in my videos. does everyone get accepted or are they selective with applicants?
Everyone gets accepted! (There are limited spots for mentors though). There are people doing the program who have no experience with art at all and people who are already professional artists 😊
