Ingredients:
1 cup Gahat (horse gram lentils)
4 cups water (for soaking and cooking)
2 tablespoons mustard oil (or any cooking oil)
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/4 teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
4-5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1-inch piece of ginger, grated
2 green chilies, slit
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
