Here's how to color grade ANY video: 1. Crank it up 2. Give it a pop 3. Not too much 4. Bring it down a bit 5. Split the difference 6. Park it right there
Reason i love him is lots of youtubers who have a premium masterclass share 1% knowledge on youtube and say join masterclass and get remaining by buying a masterclass but Qazi is sharing so much knowledge for free. Thanks Qazman!
Qazi, I would like to say, almost every single video that you upload is like a Masterclass. Thank you so much because with you I've learned a lot about this topic and I'm 100% grateful!
All these are excellent >> I have only just started out colour grading and although it's a steep learning curve it all makes sense as you build your grade... top banana thank you!
Hey Qazi ! Just found the music a bit too loud on the reveals (and intro) compared to what you usually do with music levels, but the tutorials are great as usual :D keep it going !
Thank you. I learn alot from you! Would be nice to learn how to create own note setup. Explain when use what and how to come upe wit a certain structure.
Please can you make some videos on skin tones? Whenever I colour grade something, I don't know why the skin tone looks greenish and the scope shows it as right skin tone line
I think it could be some kind of configuration with your monitor or the colors of your graphic card. I had to balance the reds, greens and blues on my monitor, and I know at this point it is not perfectly calibrated, but it is way better, and also I had to adjust some other parameters in the settings of my graphic card software. Also, try to see if you have the latest drivers available.
This is incredible on so many levels Only after watching your vids did I realise you can make the shots looker sharper from color grading Mind blown lol Im very new to this, so its fascinating Thanks
Nice! Personally I prefer the rich blue foreground (girl at the pool) vs the desatured dark water (looks dead), but otherwise, very nice tutorial, Cheers, Eivind
Hi, 1. in your free webinar training, you said not to use qualifiers with 8bit footage. How do i make sure that skin tones don't get ruined when doing a stylized teal background look? 2. in your masterclass training, do the concepts apply only for high-end footage or are they applicable for all scenarios like 8bit footage?
So nice qaz! Love that look…. ‘**Question!’**’”. Any chance you can show us a dji mini 2 4K video during a sunset. So, we can see what you would do with drone footage. What u do with the auto’ over sharpening on it and what u can do with daylight as well as sunset…. It’s a challenge I should say! I think people with dji drones will race to find the best ways to get gr8 looks!!! U have the means qaz! Can it be done? That’s a real question. It’s tough footage to work with I think.
Everytime I think my a6300 is holding me back and I need a 10 bit fuji or Sony a7s III...you remind me I just need to get gud. Thanks for another EPIC tutorial
Stop.. STOP.. just STOP it!!!! I found you today on my TH-cam suggestions bar. Your content is so f#$%ng good! Stop setting the bar so high in qaulity content, nobody will be able to compete this way. 😂 Just kidding, you're really talented sir! Keep up the great tutorials, the way you break things down and tell why you are doing things step by step is amazing! Right now I used Resolve for about 40 hours and I never used any video software before, so I have a big mountain to climb. But with your content I feel I can get really good at this. Thanks man, much love!
Hey! Just starting to make the jump from premiere to resolve thanks to you and a fellow wedding filmmaker! Dropping bombs you are sir! First question (of many I have) how do you do that "swipe" at the end to compare node by node? I want to upload my progress using your lesson techniques! Thanks for sharing!
What an amazing content, like always! Can you please make a detailed version video for HUE vs HUE/Sat/Luminance etc. That segment of Resolve always crashes my mind.
Qazi, I have some great travel footage from Cuba that I would love to try these techniques on. My issue is that they were not shot on LOG or Cine RAW. They are H264 files from GoPro Hero’s and DJI drone. Do you recommend I convert to ProsRes before grading or just grade as is? Thanks for the advice and wonderful videos 👌
No need to convert to prores, wouldn’t make them better to grade. Might use a color space transform into a log format if you prefer to grade it like that
I want to join your class but I have no experience with Davinci Resolve and I myself want to be a colorist like yourself. Does your course teaches beginners?
Please I would love you to do a tutorial on how to get perfect skin tone a scene with 3 or multiple cast having different race (black skin and white skin) in the scene. Thanks
I wish it was that easy! I spent more than 3 days colograding my travel videos. I'll be happy if I even reach 10 000 views one day! Great stuff, keep it up
Hey Qazi! Love your stuff bro. Ive browsed youtube for years tryna find a good colorgrading channel until I came across your channel. Ive watched all your videos and was wondering if you could walk us through a cinematic color grade for a film that is more light and upbeat. You have alot of videos on darker more serious films like joker etc(which I have watched many times :) ). Thanks!
Hi Qazi, I am very excited to learn from your master class. Last few months, I am trying to save money for your master class. The percentage of the income rate of our country is low than others. That's why it expensive for me. Do you have any discount offer for the low-income rate country? Sorry, my English is not good. Please give me a chance to learn. Thanks

So should I be using the DJI Luts or not?
Was that first shot D Log?
Love this! It’s great to see different techniques and a unique approach to a travel video 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
