How to Make Preserved Lemons in the Workshop

- Preserved lemon recipe:
For the lemons:
- 6 lemons
- 300 gram salt
Cutting board:
- 40x25x1.5 cm cherry wood
Knife:
- 20x5x0.2 cm O1 steel
- 10x3x2 cm Maple wood
- 4x3x2 cm walnut wood
Airtight container:
- 14x14x1.5 cm cherry wood x2
- 10x14x1.5 cm cherry wood x4
- brass screw rod x8
- brass thumb nut x8
Serving board
- 20x6x1.5 cm beech wood
- 6x1x0.5 cm walnut
Fork:
- 6x1x0.2 cm brass plate
- 1cm brass tube
- 10 wooden handle from some nice burl
Mix everything in a bowl and you're golden!

reminds me of a lunch I once had where a friend told me he had always wanted to learn to do tool smithing. By dinner I had assembled a charcoal forge from an old brake drum and some salvaged cast iron pipe. So, these dinners DO happen in the wild. You just have to have the right friends over for dinner ;-)

What a magnificent person you are sir. I watch this video from start to end about every 6 months and I’m always intrigued at your skills and beautiful sense of humor. I wish I could afford to go to England and see you in person at the show but can’t afford that. If you every come to an event in the US please let’s us know ahead of time so I can plan a trip. This was very funny! But a cutting board over 12cm in width of one whole piece is going bend, so cut it up and glue it back together! Beautiful video

I would avoid using brass for handling acidic/salty foods. Water-soluble copper salts are not good for one's liver. There is a reason for the insides of fine copper cooking pots being tinned.
