More padding or 1/4" foam padding would have smoothed out the covering on the base, the white dacron or whatever isnt firm enough to take the creases and wrinkles out - the lid did turn out much nicer with more padding

What's amazing is that this crown vic has the same paint peeling in the same spot as my car.
Yeah, its a bit of a known issues with the panther platforms. It drives me crazy.
Not bad for a rookie; do it a hundred times, trying to improve technique & material type along the way & you'll end up ķnowing a thing or three.
If I wasn't too lazy I would try this
Lol! I was too lazy, it why I made a budget version. If I was going to half ass it, I definitely didn't want to spend a lot of money on it.
