Got myself a 85 S10 I'm looking to do this in so glad I found your channel my guy. Mine is an extended cab but your truck compares better to mine than all the other videos I found.
im glad you found my channel too. and im happy i could help. please feel free to ask any questions if you have any. Dont forget to subscribe for future C10 videos.
Dude this is amazing. Thank you for the tutorial of how you made this. I'm definitely going to build my own for my 73' F250 Crew. Keep up the awesome work.🍻
Just a helpful hint on the curves of the 1/2 plywood, set your skill saw just low enough without cutting the plywood in half, and cut as many perpendicular straight lines across until you achieve the perfect 90⁰ angle 🤙
I dig it man. Keep up the crafty videos. I’m gunna attempt to take out the middle seat in my 04 Silverado because it don’t fold down and build a whole console!
Thank you so much for taking your time to comment and support the channel. I hope you enjoy the shirt! I have another budget console build that I filmed but havent gotten around to editing it. Make sure to subscribe to see when it drops. Thanks again Chris.
I'll probably do this on my 1986 f150 and add a wireless charger in it somewhere and I'll cover the wood with diamond pattern faux leather of some sort but good job!
With this console I built it to be a wedge fit. Its tight to the front and back, side to side. So It doesn't move at all. But there is no fasteners at all.
@@NoobMechanic I like your content and you have a simmular amount of videos wood you consiter making some coup videos i think we can bouthbennefit from that
Unfortunately not. The usb and cigarette lighter socket were pretty easy. I just googled how to connect them. The screen was just spliced into my old connectors. Pretty easy to do
I don't know why TH-cam recommended this to me, but now I've got nightmares haunting me of my 1969 C20 custom camper 4x4😞 If you asked why I sold it, I couldn't tell you and it's still one of my biggest regrets.. but nice build and thanks for uploading!
Yeah no kidding. I had to put a lot of projects on hold because of the lumber spike. Luckily more of my small projects are done with recycled material.

U did a great job brother salute
Gave me some good idea with the templates. I’ll use the technique to build something in fiberglass.
Glad I could help!

No problem! Glad I could help.

You will be able to cut your entire top section of the console out of 1 full piece
Thanks for the helpful tip!
Called kerfing

@@NoobMechanic right on! I subbed so I'll make sure to watch when it drops
awesome job dude
Thanks a ton!
Awesome job man, thanks
Thank you for watching!
How did you mount the console to the floor? Not sure how much room there is for a fastener to penetrate.
With this console I built it to be a wedge fit. Its tight to the front and back, side to side. So It doesn't move at all. But there is no fasteners at all.
Props dude
The wrap on this one is much better than the Crown Vic.
nice job mate
Thanks!
That looks badass!!
Thanks!
Great Job brother. if only i had the skills to do something like that.
Thanks 👍
i like ur channel. Subbed
Thanks for the sub!
im trying to find a console with cup holders in front of the shifter, for my 81 trans am or find someone to make cup holders for my current console
Follow my video on how to do it and I’m sure you can get it done.
you got yourself a subscriber
I really appreciate that!

Nice! Where did you get the cupholders?
You did an amazing job for that money. Subscribed!
Thanks a ton!
How did you secure it to the vehicle?
Its wedge fitted. it doesn't move or budge. seat needs to be removed to remove console.
Nothing about that seemed pretty easy to do. You sir are an expert mechanic
Naw man. Super duper easy peesy.
Man you done a good mod 🤘🇬🇧
Thank you! I appreciate it!
I would fill in the area around the shifter, I think wood ruins it quality look, I plan to do something similar but gonna add leds
I did fill it. I sewed a shifter boot and made an aluminum bracket. ended up looking great.
Cool! What did u put this in?
1970 c10 stepside. youll find videos of it on my channel. And thanks!
what seats do you have?
they are buckets out of an El Camino. I welded some brackets to bolt into the factor holes in the floor.
@@NoobMechanic they look nice in there been looking for buckets that fit my 72 nice and how to make a dash for it so this video is a godsend
@@theatf6070 im glad it was helpful. :)
Is there a video on the wiring?
Unfortunately not. The usb and cigarette lighter socket were pretty easy. I just googled how to connect them. The screen was just spliced into my old connectors. Pretty easy to do
Hey what did you do with the old console?
I still have it. Been trying to sell it, but no luck
@@NoobMechanic where are you located and how much you want for it?
@@tonym5960 im in texas and im asking $65 plus whatever shipping will be

I don't know why either but I'm sure glad you stopped by. I had an old 69 Torino that I had to let go of, so I sure know the feeling. It's rough
awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
How long did this take you?
about 4 1/2 hours spread over 3 days.
Man. Too bad it’s 2021 and 3/4 plywood is $70 a sheet. Good video and great idea though. I’m gunna try it.
Yeah no kidding. I had to put a lot of projects on hold because of the lumber spike. Luckily more of my small projects are done with recycled material.
How are you? Can you make me one seriously?
How much for you to build me one,
It would be about 200 for labor and materials. but i would need access to your vehicle so i can make it to the specific size.
Ahhhhh SOME!
Thank you!
