As a Chicago Taxpayer I do not want one penny of my tax dollars to go to this mess. Taxpayers are still paying for the last renovation of Soldier Field.

A renovation after the other renovation at Soldier Field would be akin to a person getting too much plastic surgery.

The real solution would have been to raze the "historic" facade and collonade and build out when they were doing the remodel. Plans to dome the current stadium is, frankly, putting lipstick on a pig. It does nothing to deal with transportation access and parking, and does not address the team's revenue demands (reasonable or not).
When the Packers remodeled Lambeau, there was no hand-wringing about preserving the old stadium. They kept the old stadium bowl (which consists of an earthen berm with rickety metal bleachers perched on top) and built around it....twice (first with 80s-vintage sheet metal skyboxes and suites, then in the 2000s with the brick-and-glass entry).

I feel like Atlanta Falcons do, it’s in the middle of downtown. If on foot it’s easy to maneuver and close to alot of tourist attractions. Traffic can be terrible, Especially on the highways.
