"Parting-In"...should be on one of your next T-Shirts! "If it's broke, part it in!" It is with eager anticipation I await the painting of that playfield. That is going to be a job, for sure. This is fantastic.
I miss my old Lost World. Bought it for 500 and had it for a decade of little fixes here and there. Had to sell it for money and space and I never should have. Sure enough a year later the box art stencils release and more parts right along behind them.
Great progress! I can't wait to see the playfield restoration: the Dracula series was great but this one is really one step further in terms of resurrecting pinballs! Just gorgeous!
Nice job. Thanks for the eloquent reasoning why not to repin exclusively for the sake of repining. I've done a couple games with Wolfpack displays, Love 'em! Let your viewers know it's a great idea to remove the high Voltage fuse once you have converted to eliminate any shock hazard.
Nice work as always Ron ! I really like the Wolffpack tech displays as well . Easy to put together and they look fantastic when you’re done . And like you said they are very reasonably priced . Can’t wait to see it all finished!
Can you please tell me where to purchase and what the right name is of this product, the thermal grease that you used on the Bridge rectifier. Keep up the good work on bring back to life all these pinball machines from the grave. Thanks Keith
Would y'all consider wearing somekind of mounted camera like a gopro or something that hilds your phone? Chest mounted or head mounted? You could have both hands free and itd be great.might look silly in person but itd be worth it
Hey Ron could you please make a video on how to burn ROMs a step by step one on how to do it and all the equipment you need and where to buy all the equipment and what type of ROMs do you need. it will be greatly appreciated. thanks Keith
Lots of amperage, they use the 5v coming out of the power supply for all the lamps then have a separate 12v circuit that is used for 12v, and to run 5v that goes to the logic chips. So the 5v coming out of the power supply is kept separate just for the lights.
The goal is presumably to provide a stable 5V supply, regardless of what else is happening inside or outside the machine. oldschool regulators needed a few volts of headroom over the output voltage to maintain regulation. Then you want some more headroom on top of that so you maintain a stable voltage even if there is a supply brownout (eithether externally caused, or caused internally from switching high power loads). It's inefficient, but I guess they didn't care too much about that. The power needed for the logic boards is likely a small fraction of what is needed for solenoids/lights/displays, all of which were fed off seperate unregulated power rails.
removing the fuse so the high power does not get to the leds is good but you need to idiot proof it so whoever gets the game later does not stick a fuse in there and blow the thing all to hell
2 huge knockers on this machine!!! Keep them in!!

That back box has an interesting history. Seems to have been on a Seawitch, a Swimmer, and a Stingray. Now a Lost world. .Lol.
Enjoying the Build.
Thanks Ron. Looking forward to Friday!
I love early Bally solid states from this era. Great job so far.
You removed all components and replaced all tracks. Fantastic repair for a retro machine..please keep up the memories of these machines. Bless

Really great progress on the ‘part it back in’ caper. The displays look fantastic.

The lost world just wants to be found! Top job gents.
Keep at it guys! How do you eat an elephant? Once bite at a time.
Nice job. Got all the lamps working real fast. I need to re-pin my connectors.

I'm not an expert on that, we just used some we had laying around, thermal grease is exactly what I always called it.
Bally LOST WORLD Pinball - Lyons Arcade Edition. 😁

If ever there was a candidate for putting a vinyl playfield sticker on a machine! I know you've transformed similar with paint but that mylar...

Missing board's missing from the lost world pinball game better ring Indiana with this one 😮
Can't wait for the playfield video
What is so special about using the Wolffpactech displays compared to other display companies?
We like them!
@@LyonsArcade any reasons why? Is it because the LCD or LED displays are brighter or better colors?
@@waynegram8907 They're cheap.
Am I crazy or did the last video show 5v coming out of the rebuilt power supply? Why is 12v needed to be modified to 5v?

Pinballs: BORN TO RUN
Don’t part ‘em out (even if it’s “broke”)
I like LEDs bulbs over incandescent just because it doesn't melt the playfield plastics like on Gottlieb Genie i played
I like the real light bulbs
When electronic hording has its benifits.
We got no engines Ted
Hey Ron!!
Hey Jason!

The wire with the high voltage doesn't connect to anything on the new displays so it's o.k. either way... thank you for watching!
It's alive
