The "Soundboks" has become a thing of itself in Denmark, it's not referred to as a "Bluetooth speaker". Mainstream media depicts it as basically a plague due to many teens having yard/park parties with obsessively loud music.
That name goes to the jbl extreme or jbl in general in the Netherlands. You see teenagers with a strapped extreme to their shoulder blasting it while walking or on a bicycle

This feels like it was designed for those audio guys who build up the speaker setup for concerts and p.a. Systems in public buildings etc. Like, for them to enjoy their own ‘p.a. system’ for once xD
I have the older one (soundboks 2) and really enjoying it. Wether it is for a party, or an outdoor festival it always kicking ass.

A bit late to the party with this review....I have two Soundboks 2 units for mobile DJ gigs and they sound great. I would have loved to hear your review against the Soundboks 2, just like Oluv's assessment. BTW, excellent job in your reviews brother! You made me buy the Fluance Signature Series (yellow cones) bookshelf speakers a few years back. Keep it up!

hey zeos another idea for you, give a shot using some open focal's (elex in my case) and swan m200mkII's or better. Turn the bass to max on the speakers with the treble at 11 o'clock. place the headphones in front of you and balance the volumes so that from that distance both are the same. enjoy
You should test the JBL Partybox 100 caus I'm interested in it + compare it with this one :D
Not comparable, the 100 is not even close to as loud, but still a good speaker.
@@Morten54 it's because of oluv's gadgets that played both, you should search it and found the partybox 100 better sounding but maybe not that loud
@@gillesLegein Yeah I've seen it, I own a Soundboks 3, but I will tell you that JBL does sound a little better / cleaner, but a partybox 100 won't be close to deliver a party level amount of sound, you should go for a partybox 310 then, which is not as loud as a soundboks 3 still, but closer.
Home theater outside?
The guys who created this speaker, did it because they wanted a good camp party speaker to use at the Roskilde rock festival in Denmark and no other speaker filled their needs. Z, you need to start a festival on your lawn. Peeps will come.

How is the sound quality?
see these are cool, but for 200 bucks less, you could just het a qsc k2.12 and a bluetooth receiver. no batterey, but the qsc is proper PA.
ive covered 400x800 foot feilds with just a pair of k2.12s. they are great.
@@Beardman56 for covering a space that big, you wouldnt want stereo, so one is fine. for stereo youd need delay towers every 250 ish feet to keep your imaging. also, just one k12.2 is 2kw versus this things like 250w

I'd much rather have a real stereo PA system with a bass bin or two out in the backyard for cutting the grass. These bluetooth speakers just don't make the cut for that...yet.
