honestly i think this kit somehow makes some of the base game stuff nicer? like the decor in the bathroom makes me like the lime green tile
jesse coming through making sure we can build a whole apartment with the kit (including carpets and wallpaper!!). she's an angel
I love that instead of making a little closet for the water heater with a door for easy access, she just filled the whole room with concrete. I'm pretty sure she designed my real life apartment, because the ceilings and floors are fully concrete and my landlords can't get into the ceiling to figure out why it leaks sometimes.
I am not a huge fan of the Pastel Pop kit style irl but I’ll admit, it looks amazing in game
I so agree! Some stuff I find cute like the irl wavy mirrors but some of the over the top cutesy isn’t really me. But in game…. It’s like my new fave 😂🤦🏼♀️
I've used it so often today! The cute strawberries for a children's room, the carpet, the wallpapers! It really adds something new stylistically!

Steam does a sale a couple times a year. That's how I buy all my kits and packs.

simsie, the trick to pastel and intense colours is committing to the fact that there's NEVER such thing as enough. go full out, 100% bright colours, and scale back from the finished product.
This kit could really work for a diner or a cute shop 😮
I bought the Everyday Clutter Kit on a whim as it's more my day-to-day style, but how you put this apartment together is really adorable. I am PERSONALLY not a fan of pastel colors, but I think you pushed me to eventually buy this kit and not just completely disregard it like how I originally felt about it.
I finally figured out what this apartment reminded me of after staring at its finished layout. It's Juno Birch! This is an apartment Juno Birch would probably LOVE!

I always go for really easy white/beige/black apartments, and I feel like this kit made it really easy and fun to use more colours ☺️💜
I've built a house using this kit today (this is the first time I've purchased a kit btw, except for the free one) and I'm absolutely in love. the colors are soooo pretty. I hope they collaborate with more simmers in the future

about the tiny black square window in the corner: you can cover it with plain pastel shutters to make it stand out less. and even also put something on the top of the cabinet to cover it a little.

Honestly when I play the Sims, the only household who hasn't used the bathroom sink for literally everything are the last 2 that I created. Otherwise, there could be q kitchen sink, 2 bathroom sinks, and a sink outside but they'd pick the 1 thats the MOST inconvenient
To me, this pack has some good furniture I could use anywhere and good wallpapers, but some of the stuff like the bed and the tile tables and small tables, and combining all the stuff in very pastel colors, it’s like when you’re eating a cake and it’s way too sweet, almost like eating straight up sugar. The pack is good, but I simply can’t have all of the things in bright pastel colors.
Honestly you’re also an inspiration for me, I’m trying to get better at building and your videos help me sometimes :]

I absolutely love this apartment. it's so cute! I'm supposed to be getting I think around 8 kits including the 2 new ones for Christmas. so maybe i will be able to get it! all i will need is city living but i could always ask for that for black friday.
Who’s gonna tell her that no one is asking her to use just the base game and we have been begging her to build with no pack restrictions for months and been ignored lol
Pretty sure a lot of people are asking for just base game stuff since a lot of people (like myself) just got the game when it came out for free

I just did the same thing but in a bigger apartment but with the colors focused on the objects, except for the bedroom. I just loved it so much, I could live there.
this is a perfect early 20's appartement... it looks cute (cheap and chirpy) and the actual bones of the appartment dont matter ... some of my earlier appartments back in the day were atrocious ! but a colourful rug here, a cute painting there... it felt like home 🤷♀️

The window by the top of the cabinets would be amazing for my cat! She loves sitting on top of cabinets and being able to look out the window would be so perfect
I have been building, building building with these backs, it’s been nuts! No other previous kit has given me as much pleasure as as the pastel pop and everyday clutter, it’s been so much fun!

I recently did a bedroom using the kits and the highschool pack and the 3 go together so well I used almost every item from the kits lol based on the teal/blue

Sometimes part of the fun is just seeing what other people come up with. It's nice seeing you try new things.
I will say I’ve been burned out on TS4 building lately, I kind of went a little overboard during the free to play launch week doing base game stuff, but this Pastel Pop kit is amazing. I’m having way too much fun building cutesy stuff, which is weird for me because I’m more contemporary/conservative in my builds - so all the pastel pinks and aquas and mints are a nice change of pace. It really works well with the gamer HSY stuff and a lot of the weird My First Pet furniture (I finally made use of that absurd coffee table and the weird asymmetrical loveseat!!)
Just want to say thanks to Plumbella for this fantastic idea, Avant Basic is a very playful and inspiring genre and it absolutely added something I wasn’t expecting back into my game - weird fun and bold furniture.
3:16 Kayla sweetie you’re gonna need to learn T.O.O.L eventually 🥴 city living build mode isn’t the same with it. The ability to change add and remove windows and front doors at will is very very handy.
5:05 you’re doing great but you need more bold colors to balance out the pastel and pale. Dark variants of the tones you’re going for in the given room, or something like blacks and grays. Or you can just go hog wild and make everything pastel pink. It doesn’t matter, that’s the beauty of it. It’s meant to be eye catching and detail focused, so using neutrals or bolder variants of the hue would be best to compliment.

I think that kit would also be good for the bathroom, and kitchen. If mixed with base game kitchens and bathrooms and use items from this kit to give it some color. I really like the wallpapers and rugs the best.
