@@FatSynthDudeOrdered mine two weeks ago I just received it a few days ago in NYC... What a nose bleed of a device... the demos definitely make it look so easy to get something interesting out of... so far that hasnt been the case for me but i find generative work flows can be tricky sometimes...
I have had mine for one day and I already want to throw it out of my window... It probably is the most amazing yet frustrating hardware device I own haha... I will just have to keep at it... 10 hours and just not getting the flow yet... Practice makes perfect I have been told...
@@psypher19111911 ended up returning it... Was an interesting machine but for my workflow, just took way too long to get anything listenable out of it... I felt it was less experimental and more random which lead to a lot of frustration in my case... Ended up going with the OXI ONE sequencer instead and i think that OXI is the greatest sequencer I ever touched for under $1000... I'm absolutely in love with it and it has a mode called Matricial Mode which is pretty much all of what the T-1 does and more... I was charged over $100 to ship back the T-1 so that most likely be last experience ever purchasing anything from Torso again... But i also hear a lot of people loving it but for me just didnt click...
@@RobbekenSynthMusic I returned mine and had to pay over $100 in custom fees so I recommend doing as much research as you can or playing with one in person before making the purchase... It definitely is an interesting device but it just took me a bit too long to get anything listenable out of it... I ended up getting the OXI One sequencer which is around the same price point and is amazing... It even has a feature called Matriarchal mode that is pretty much everything the T-1 does but with visual pads to manipulate... I don't want to say the T-1 is a bad device because it definitely is not... Just wasn't for me... They recommended I keep it for the 90 day grace period but after a few sessions it lead to more frustration than innovation for me... I have a lot of gear so I usually know within a week if something will remain in my workflows and only having short bursts of time to make music I knew the T-1 would end up in a closet... but that's just me... If it takes more than an hour to get anything I like to come out of a piece of gear than I move on... After the return fees this was a lesson on GAS based purchases... haha... but like I said maybe this device would flow better for someone else...

How about a quick chat with the performer on how he approaches the T1?
This gets me even more excited about my pre-order.
Did you already get yours my dude? I cant find any information on the pre-orders :(
@@ColossusBall The chip shortage has everything screwed up, so I cancelled the preorder and bought a bologna sandwich.

happy to see that Sekouia is still doing some music!
Nice Performance!
That was killer! Very inspiring.
There is something about those rhythms that just sounds “right”
Fantastic performance!

Any update? :-) Did you get your head around it, was it thrown out of your window or is it collecting dust on a shelf!? 🙂
