This is brilliant! Not hinging early enough makes the club feel heavier and more difficult to get depth and control. It’s what’s been missing in my swing for two years. More please!
Thank you so so much Matthew, I’ve struggled for two years with a swing plane that’s too flat, which has caused heavy pulling to the left to snap hooks with driver, fairway woods and hybrids, yet my irons have been decent! Cocking the wrists early has given me a more upright swing plane ( left arm is now slightly higher than shoulder plane).
Excellent drill , I’m a righty I had my left shoulder replaced and I have a limited range of motion, my elbow wants to bend in my backswing, I can’t quite get to 10 o’clock with my hands , oh well I’ll just stop at 9 or 9:30!!!
