The blue sword is her Soul sword from the 90s from the New Mutants series and the translucent one is the modern representation of the said weapon from the Marvel Now. I prefer the SDCC Version. Hasbro should have included a yellow translucent disc for Magik to step on as a base because this is her mutant ability to teleport via a disc making limbo her portal going to another space and time. i don’t know why they make the male figures with more articulation than the female figures, since in my experience girls are more flexible than the guys if you have a different experience ( like the guys where more flexible than girls ) let me know

You said it yourself: she JUST got released. There’s hype around her and people want it, so it’s being scalped. None of the Walgreens figures are rare, so if you give it time the price will normalize.

The thing with this figure is that you really need to choose a piece with well-painted eyes. I went to my shop, there were like 7 of these and almost all had uneven weird eyes. But the one with properly painted eyes is simply, absolutely gorgeous.
I got her a few days ago at Walgreen's for $13.99 and man I love her. She works well with my marvel legends Kitty Pride figure and I'm a fan of swords and she has some wicked blades, also I wouldn't have never bought or sought her out if not for this review.
I found a Magik last week in Chicago and managed to grab the only one they had. I'm thinking now of putting that skull on the Human Torch figure...just for a matching color.
I tried it on Human Torch - it’s a tight fit but it looks great. It also looks cool on the Defenders comic boxed set Daredevil - the reds match really well.
Since finding that old Magik figure was next to impossible on the secondary market due to it being part of that box SDCC exclusive, I'm super happy with this figure even if our eyes are a tiny bit wonky. Mine had her hair too high and I ended up pulling it off and super gluing it back down. Super happy with this new one because the old one was going for $80+
Definitely dope with the flames. The best option is swapping out the left arms. I wonder if boil and pop works. The accessories make this a premium figure.

I wish she came with parts to turn her into her demon form (head with demon horns and swappable legs). Still, I hope one day they do her New Mutants costume. Mine came up with some issue with her face also, there is a error on her chin that makes it look like she has a scar on her chin. I wish QC was much better for Magik.
yeah like the SDCC one but im still getting this for the excessories. And i seen art work were she has bolth swords so i changed her pose and put the second smaller sword in her hand, just have to get the exsessories to make her pop!
I found mine on clearance at walgreens for 5 bucks, the box was all damaged but the figure and everything else came completely fine, talk about a steal!
Juan Villegas I think the peg on Kitty’s body is too big. If you really wanted to make it work, you would probably have to drill the hole on Magic’s head to make it bigger.

The size of the ball pegs for the heads has been something that is annoying me. I don't understand why Hasbro has to have such variance with it. It is like they want to discourage swapping heads between figures. But why? Wouldn't people by more figures if they knew they could swap around the parts easily? It is really dumb how they have been having this happen. Even with two figures like this which should have the same damn size ball peg!
I'm pretty sure the reason the new head has a bigger mount than the SDCC one is because the red flame skull is a swap out, to represent Magik when she loses control of her powers, gets possessed, and becomes Darkchilde to fight Dormammu in the Marvel NOW Uncanny X-men vol 5. You can heat the arms and do a pop and swap pretty easily.
I'm so glad they re released this figure.
