  • "It's a therapist in some ways, it kind of clears your head, you think of nothing else but how fast can I go and how tight can I hold on."
It's peak cold, windy weather time here in London at the The Bike Shed, but that doesn't stop 'Shed regular Gareth popping in on his Triumph Bonneville, nor should it.
It's been stripped back, tweaked and modified to make more unique with it's classy navy blue and gold colour styling throughout making it a real head-turner around London.
Gareth talks us through what's been done to the bike, what he does with it and what it means to him.

Great build. Love the gold accents and the exhaust wraps looks well ridden. Definitely agree with the therapy part of riding he touches on.

My bonnies been sat in the garage for a few months now with work needing doing to it, and I've been putting it off. This video has reignited my spark for getting it back in the road!

I know this is an older video, but man, this is exactly what I want a triumph for, got a couple Harleys, which I do ride but I just want an everyday bike during the riding season that doesn’t give me anxiety with getting excessive wear and tear, and going down dirt trails within reason. Plus I’ve always loved them.

Loved the scratches on the bike, shows how much it is being used and not being kept as a trophy. No, those aren't scratches, those are war scars !! Really good bike !

Great bike! I wish Triumph still made a Bonneville like this... the simplicity and no BS of a proper, air cooled parallel twin. No radiator or other bits that clutter the look and feel of a true classic motorcycle. I will continue my search for an early 2000's Bonneville to add to my garage. My 2022 Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor is as close as one can get to a classic and genuine English designed bike. Simple, clean and a beautiful air cooled twin mounted in a simple and appropriate Harris chassis. If Triumph ever builds another Bonneville with an Air Cooled, clean set up like this, I will be waiting at the local dealer to buy one. Great video and your bike is clearly enjoyed as the wounds indicate. Well done!

Love everything about your bike! I have an 05 Bonneville Black I bought new and am turning over 30 grand on the odometer. Like you, I like the worn look of of my Bonneville. It reminds me of myself and the 67 years on my body and mind.

the "scruffiness" on this moto is what gives it its "standout" character above other motos. It's beautiful & rugged, all in one. It's definitely an eye catcher in my book. My scrambler does not get its scratches buffed out as it adds character. A+ buddy!!!

Mines a bit more chromey , but I like the blacked out look too. Hey how does the headlight rock cage mount? Is it part of the cover ring? And I notice no brake light? Man with the way people drive, no way I'd have no brake light. Thanks man, ride safe.
