- Kiran's Dad took his Mum out on a date one evening, and came home with a motorcycle. Kiran took this as a green light to get his very own bike.
His love for the Triumph Bonneville is clear, we'll let Kiran take you through the modifications himself! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Absolutely love all the concepts that the proud owner describes for the motorbike. May you live and ride long!
What sad person would dislike this? I mean, there's really no reason not to like a high quality video with a guy talking about a bike he loves (not even mentioning it's beautiful here)
Cheers man, means a lot! i always feel anyone who hates upon someone else clearly is not happy with them self, hope whoever it is finds happiness soon :)
What's beauty to one may be ugly to another. Maybe it was an accident. Who knows..... who cares!
Old part here been times riding climbs all my life my favorite was the 1970 bountiful but still loves the new ones thanks for posting
Lovely work Kiran. You can sense the love you have for that bike by the way you describe the things you've done to it. Well done mate.
Cheers Parj! means lot... keep dragging those knees ;)
Wow a bit harsh , swapping your poor old mum for a motorcycle . lol, good video I like it cheers
haha! its alright... she got an Uber back ;)
That’s not just a bike, that’s a work of art. You must be very proud, dude.
Thanks Joseph, she really is a labour of love :)
This is one of the cleanest t100s I’ve seen. Really neat.
Beautiful machine - in both looks and sound. There's just something about these Bonnies isn't there, they just look right with minimal customisation. Thanks for uploading once again!
Couldn't agree more! :)
Cool bike...simple and uncluttered, looks and sounds great! Steve
Glad you like it Steve! exactly what i was going for
I don't often comment on video's but an awesome looking and tasteful build. Can't beat a bonneville. Love the sound of it now too. Well done:-)
Thanks for kind words Jagz! yep shes's a labour of love, glad you like it :)
Gosh, what a looker. I like all of your mods, well thought out.
That looks Brilliant! One of the best I've seen and it has a lovely bark to the sound, five stars mate.
Cheers Steve! she's not the fast or the most reliable at times bike out there but shes mine :)
@@nexov3876 buddy.bike looks fantastic.i liked the idea of lowering the speedometer.do you have insta?
Stunning looking bike mate ..the light and clock lowering make it look 👍😊
Given me inspiration and gonna pinch a few ideas 💡
Dream bike right there, and such a humble and postive owner. Hope to have a triumph myself some day.
Thanks Johan! no better feeling than open roads and an air cool machine :)
Agree, my Kawasaki W800 Street does it for me.
Nice bike. I like the way you have illustrated what you envisaged. The tank looks great as it is, if you don’t mind me saying, I wouldn’t change it. Thanks for showing it.
Ride safely.
Thanks bud! yep will be keeping the tank just the way it is, be silly to ruin such awesome hand-painted pinstripe work :)
Got to love a Bonneville. That is a great looking bike. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Glad you like it! cheers buddy
Hi Kiran, I totally agree - the Bonny is exactly what a motorbike is supposed to look like. You've done a fine job on yours!
Cheers Mikey! i've come from sports bike background (had a Daytona 675) the Bonnie might not have the speed but it delivers so much more
I like the fact you cut the original rear mud guard, those tail tidies never look right with that long seat. Good work.
Well, that is a beautiful bike ,not over the top ,just enough ,well done mate (and say thanks to your dad !!!!)
See you later, careful on the road
I’m not normally into older bikes , I live nr the Triumph factory , my buddy is a test rider for Triumph , and my last bike was a speed triple 1050, but a heart attack put pay to that , now own a 600 fazer that my son sold me cheap, ,, however this catches my eye , it’s a beauti and you’ve put some thought and effort into it and it even has a lovely sound ,,, take care buddy Shane uk 🇬🇧
shaneweightman thanks for the kind words Shane! Yep she’s a keeper for sure 👍🏻
Damn! That growl when it was revved! Lovely beast!
beautiful build man. I love the bobber/scrambler influence you've got on it.
Drewnax thanks for the kind words brother! 👍🏻
Kiran, great job, subtle changes but they really add up to great looking bike.
Cheers Mark
Your T100 looks awesome! Great work!
Nice to see someone get the angle grinder out instead of the credit card. Good work, like it.
Cheers Paul, cant go wrong with a little DIY :)
@@nexov3876 plenty have!
@@paulleggett9735 haha! good point ;)
Spectacular headlight, and gorgeous tank!
Yep thought it would be silly ruin such great craftsmanship
@@nexov3876 How did you paint the headlight casing? Love the look of the shiny black as opposed to the powder coated option. Thanks!
Kiran looks like a big lad, the bonnie suits him and looks great.
Robert Strahl 6ft 1’ :) the bonnie does feel good for a larger rider as I find a some Japanese models can feel a little undersized
@@nexov3876 I'm 6'6" and 17 stone. Love my Bonneville
Nice! Like the holes in the chain guard
Wow, beautiful - don't think I've seen a nicer looking bike - sounds great too!
I like it... Discreet and yet and complete and utter looker of a bike.
Thanks Ivan! i really didn't want to take away from what was already there, glad to hear i achieved it :)
I really love this bike and the sound is just amazing. Thanks for the video.
Fantastic. Can’t wait to put some pipes on my Bonneville so it can sound as good as it looks
Papa Spaceflight do it man! It’s great being seen... and heard! ;)
Lovely bike dude. Nice little touches. Sounds amazing, but then I think every bike sounds rad in that Bike Shed alley! 😂
Acoustics are pretty great in there! haha
My heart rate is rising.
This is one beautiful bike you've got there mate.
Marc Siegrist thanks brother 👍🏻
Stop spoiling me with all these ideas Bikeshed! That’s a very nice bike
Nice - super lean and overall the direction i want to take the resto of my '06 790. Except for the short mufflers (to short and makes a dirty sound that looses the sweet british twin burble, AND the bars are way too narrow with no pull back. But those last items are personal favourites of course. One of the best builds ive seen in my last 14 yrs of Bonneville ownership
I just bought an '06 the previous owner had basically turned into a Thruxton (style-wise) and I love it.
🙌🏽🙌🏽
I have similar pipes on mine but longer. So cuts back on the header rashness. But I do like the looks of shorter pipes. I tink about cutting down my factory fenders a bit too, but if it didn't turn out perfect, id be peod. The seat is nice but I hate to toss it when still perfect. And it is a 2005. But I do like the pleated look of yours. I have factory round bar ends too, but upright. Looks great though. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful and practical.. That's how a Bonnie should sound like (I think) 👍👍👍
Can't beat that twin burble for sure
@@nexov3876 the new water cooled sound nice too, but that 360 degree sound is unquie and like the vintage ones
Kiran is an absolute unit!
Rohan D'cruz cheers bud, I sure am :)
That is a lovely looking bike, I need one like that in my life lol
do it! :)
Fantastic bike looks and sounds awesome 👍
Richard Pearson thanks buddy
@@kiranm9856 Hey man, do you remember where you got those slash cut tips and baffles from? Would love a set for my 04 custom bonnie.
great video
Agree with you, the paint work is wonderful.
Great looking bike! I had a 2004 T100 too and loved it. Ended up selling it though because it just seemed to lack a final gear, making any longer stretch on the motorway a pain....a near perfect bike with one important weakness.
Yep your right about the final gear, mines mainly used through the city and b-road blasting :)
The answer to that problem is to simply purchase a Bonneville T120. I had the same feeling on the highway with the buzzy feeling and wanting that extra gear with my 2016 T100. When I upgraded to the T120 it was an amazing difference without sacrificing looks and performance!
4:20 that guy gave the look of approval.
Very nice looking bike, thanks for sharing
Glad you liked it!
Very nice. I would paint the back chain sprocket flat black. Not sure if you can get it, but Fluid Film spray made with lanolin from sheepskin works well for lubing the chain. You might consider Michelin Commander II tires for a different look and feel, and they last a long time. Avon tires would be more what the Bonnevilles came with in the 50s to 60s, before the 1969 750cc Honda inline 4 started to dominate for sales. Revzilla has a recent video recommending Avon tires.
Yep have a few more ideas in the pipline, but for now i'm just going to stick tire on the tarmac :)
Nice bike, lovely sound mate.
Didier Marchant cheers mate!
There’s just something about us indian maybe in our blood that makes us love classic motorcycles, especially British twins ;)
Aditya Namburi Hi Aditya, it’s not about being pink, blue, orange or green if you love bikes and have a passion... your in :) Yep big fan of twins for sure!
Colonisation?
Great looking bike....well done
Cheers Simon!
got a 2008 myself, beautiful bikes!
Bonnevilles are my favorite 🙌
Smiling's my favorite
Me too! I'm so glad I bought a Street Twin, it'll be an excellent canvas for modifying over the next few years.
A beauty, tastefully done sir.
Thank you kindly buddy!
Sweet ride fella.
Cheers buddy
Dude your bike is sick
cheers bud!
Brilliant... Just brilliant.
Beautiful looking bike
What a beautiful bike man !
Nicely done. 👍
Sweet ride!
Thanks bud!
Great bike. I have a 2008 Efi in the same color. How it is the muffler / pipe thing? Are the original pipes with a muffler on it? Which ones are? Thank you
Gorgeous bike
Very nice !
Awesome vid as usual, loving the build. Need to figure out a way to get the water cooled engines sounding closer to this!
Just can't beat that ol'skool burble ;)
Nexov Kin couldn’t agree more, the newer ones really lack it. Have you experienced any issues with the slash pipes? A dealer said it can cause issues to the motor as there’s little back pressure... 🤔
@@drivingontheedge9391 Thats a very good question regarding the back pressure, personally i haven't noticed any issues with the slash pipes but i did add some baffles which i'm sure would of helped
I like the bike, all bar that 80's white tyre pen.
Cant help it... im an 80's kid haha
Man beautiful bike... torn between these and honda rebel 500
Superb Bonneville an absolute tragedy they don't make the air cooled 865 anymore. I love my SE with mag wheels what a machine this is motorcycling, if you want love in your life buy a Bonneville
Awesome bike. I love it. Can you show a picture of where/how you relocated your ignition switch?
I looked throughout all the comments and couldn’t find anywhere the actual size of those tires. Does anyone know?
Fantastic bike Kiran! I have a 2004 Bonnie currently going through the same evaluation. You've had a few questions on here about your exhausts, which I'm getting you keeping to yourself info on them! 😆 I was wondering how you got around supporting them, did you take a fixing off the centre stand holes??
Thanks sharing again! 👍👍😎
Gorgeous bike🏁
would you mind putting up a url for the seat please? love the bike, and pipes, fun 60’s garage rock vibe
Hey John, please find a FB link to RP Custom Chapter the company who produced the seat, they make them custom to order: facebook.com/the.ride.and.pride/photos/a.333708173476582/333708410143225/?type=1&theater
This is a really Classic build - beautifully proportioned. Can I ask what the exhaust system is please?
HOG RAT thanks bud! It’s running original headers, custom tips and baffles
Nexov Kin - thanks ...I’m looking at doing something similar with my T100 so was curious if the tips were available from anywhere ..... it’s very similar in styling to what I’ve done with mine ....
Well done
Wish Triumph still had one air-cooled bike in their current Bonnie range
Same, and I much prefer the 360 crank
There is the Mash five Hundred, is not a triumph but is air-cooled y had the crank. And is bonnie look
Cant beat it, bare bones motorcycling.... doesn't even have a fuel light haha
Can you tell me where I can purchase a pair of exhaust tips like yours? Thanks. Lou
Nice love it...where are the mirrors from please ?
Nice bike! I think the only thing I would do different is turn those tips down instead of pointing out. I think it would look nicer
I did try that but honestly from face on and behind pointing sidewards and out looks badass!
Right question time.
1, how much did she cost to buy ?
2, how much did the build cost ?
3, how many miles on the clock when you bought the bike ?
4,how many miles on the clock now ?
See you later, careful on the road
Andrew Bull I bought the bike second hand (owned by an elderly gentlemen from new) I paid 5k for it regarding the cost of the build it’s difficult to say as many of the mods are custom but that’s joy 👍🏻
Ok thanks mate ,take care of the triumph she's a beauty!!!!!, see you on the road ,take care
Wonderful Bike Kiran, if you see this can you tell me who in Brighton did your seat?
Cheers Dar, the seat is hand-made by a company called RP Customs Chapter
I like that it's a reductionist " build" you added little and took away just enough. Only thing I want for my Bonneville is shocks.
Beautiful bike. Kiran, what length are your headlight brackets? I'm looking into cleaning up the front of my Thruxton and haven't decided on the length of the brackets, Yours are just perfect. Stock headlight correct? Thanks.
Hi Fernando, the headlight brackets are from TEC bike parts, i believe they are slightly longer than the Thruxton item and yep the headlight is the original unit :)
I would just swap the exhaust tip for one that is mandrel Bended.
bike is really cool!
Great bike Kiran. I just recently purchased an 07 t100 and love your exhaust setup. I read 200+ comments to get more details around your slash cut exhaust. I live in the USA and would like to get a setup like yours. I will need both the slash cut pipe and the baffles. Could you give details about company and contacts to see if I can get a set in the U.S? Thanks.
Hey did u manage to get more info on this? I'm also looking for the slash cut and baffles but don't really know where to get it. Do I get a random pipe and cut, and a random baffle?
@@skansown2 I've been keeping my eye on the post but no reply yet. I called a local Triumph shop and they said they didn't know either. They stated that it will need baffles because a straight pipe doesn't create back pressure which the bike needs.
Hopefully he will reply to the post.
@@vmuth He's on the Facebook 'Triumph Bonneville T100' group, you could always join that and message him
This is a beautiful job which I am using as inspiration to modify my 2006 Bonnie T100. Question: Are those exhaust tips home made? If so, what sort of material did you use for sound baffling? Thanks in advance! (LE from Washington, DC!)
Love it totally awesome bike sounds amazing :-)
Thanks bud
Nice one Kiran! @nexovkin lovely machine. Where abouts are the turn signals from?
Thanks man, well the brackets are from Motone and Tec while the units are from Amazon, keep up the great work on your instagram!
@@nexov3876 Thanks for the info and the kind words mate.
What model tires do you have? Those are sweet!
mint vid, when you flipped dash bracket and straightened it, did the 4 holes for fixing back still line up !!?? cheers pal.
Beautiful :)
I would love for my bike to be on the show
That's a tastefully modified Bonnie.
Cheers James!
Any idea where the exhaust tips are from?
Alistair Hedderwick custom made tips buddy, but you can get pretty decent ones of eBay
Nexov Kin what type of tune did you use for running those tips?
damn, thats with baffles in haha!
new Headlight arms...where do we find those? Love how they dont have dumb holes everywhere
Great bike! Love it! Also the Metzeler tires: Which ones are those?
Tourance
Have you noticed any difference in handling with the wider tires?
Love the bike. Does anyone know where in the states you can find those slash cut turn downs that are exapnded?
This is very tasteful
Love it!
