I would go for the Marin because it has a better fork, but the Specialized one is 1x. Its up to you but at first glance, if you want a nicer drivetrain go with the Specialized, if you want a better fork for better ride feel go for the Marin.
Pretty lame that you think $25 is cheap for a mere bolt. Doesn't lend to your credibility. It's not about what it does to improve shifting - it's about SRAM ripping people off...
Plot twist: you install the bolt and 3 days later the unserviceable clutch goes. Now it only costs you $25 and a new derailleur! Sram has got your back, don't worry!
You can by the 7speed DH version for like $12 has the same exact bolt
Good find! Didn't see that!
Cheap $25 bolt? Currently you can buy a decent Shimano rear derailleur for that kind of money!
Cheap compared to anything else on the bike! Lol
Lol I would never use the words decent and derailleur when it costs 25 bucks lol.
Not the xt. Soooooooo
Sram rider be like😂
What a legend. Thanks for the tip.
bro said $25 cheap. my wallet:2 cents
Haha! In the MTB world $25 is nothing.
$25 can't even by a good bashguard
Mine had this problem and I had heard about this online a while back. I bought the X01 bolt kit and bam no more play..shame on you SRAM.
Glad it worked! Well SRAM has to do something to make you want X01 or XX1 😅
@@thebigoutsidemtb😅
why did you remove the chain for this simple operation?
It makes it easier. Not necessary though.
I had to do this. Boggles my mind that it's such a big issue on an otherwise really nice derailleur
Agreed.
If you paying so much for Sram, then this shouldn't be an issue in the first place, a 12s deore groupset will outlast any Sram groupset
It isn't, but it does improve the shifting quality. It's not a necessity, but it's a nice little upgrade.
Cheap 25$ 😂😂
Cheap in the MTB world 😂
25 is cheap
And thats how you know you need to go to Buy MILK "DAD"
Specialized rockhopper comp 29
Or
Marin Palisades Trail 2 ???

Is there an option like this for Rival XPLR rd? It also has play.
I'm not sure. Not familiar with that derailleur.
Dirt-cheap and good working.
Will this work for nx derailleur
I think it will. But I can't guarantee.
Did you try with the NX?
1k like done
👍

Dude, I've had mine for over a year and it still feels really good. It's a good bang for buck derailleur, I'm not complaining.
