I am an Asian Uber Lyft driver in Boston and I have no problems picking up or dropping off people from Roxbury or Mattapan. I treat everyone with respect no matter what color of skin. And I don't expect anything in return because as long as I doing my job and get paid for my service. I truly believe the universe puts people in our paths for a good reason. Let’s embrace each other, embrace the good and the bad too and learn from them for a better life style. Remember this Good thoughts, Good words and Good actions attract good thing in your life. 3:41 - I don't think that's what he said. What I heard (from the video) is that he wasn't going to Roxbury. He was going to BJ's Wholesale in Quincy or Weymouth (neither of those are close to Roxbury - Roxbury is opposite direction). You have to keep listening to get the full context of what he's saying as he keeps getting interrupted by the pings. I could be wrong but I heard something totally different.

I cant believe Im saying this, Im also slowly switching to Lyft, Lyft at least is offering some incentives and surge. Uber no bonus, no surge and garbage rates, and now they made 1 billion in profit.
I try to cherry pick in jersey city Nj with Lyft is not the same because when you spend to much time declining offers they don’t send you offers for a long period of time 😂 they aren’t fools
I'm in the Boston market and I experience the same thing - long delay when you cherry pick. I just switch to Uber when that happens. I don't experience a "time out" with Uber.
Lyft knows they are working in the shadow of Uber they will work extra hard to accommodate riders any delay they take it much more seriously , Uber don't care
What Uber has been doing is give you more trips on trip radar if your acceptance rate is low..I learnt that the hard way. But once I raised it to over 50%, they started sending more rides directly, compared to what they sent me on trip radar.
Lyft is pretty good with turbo and bonus hours on top. I also noticed the turbo bonus applies to the bigger fare if your ride takes longer. This is much better than the flat dollar amount from Uber.
My friend in long story short you come in New York & try to drive here you gonna say I was 100% better in Boston that I was there smart fish. There no fish thing in New york because we don't have so much work. You have to thanks whatever your getting.
Cherry picking is easy for 100 that can be done in the morning time you can’t over cherry pick if you want 300 a day also make sure you have the best mpg Car with no CAR NOTE
I highly doubt Uber is going away in the Boston market. Lyft used to be the better alternative but now they pay far less than Uber. And the other thing that set them apart from Uber - being good to drivers, has slowly eroded as well.
Try living in Fargo!!! I can drive for Uber but I can't drive whith lyft platform and Uber x is only paying 12/hr....so it looks like all the Uber drivers went to lyft and thier forcing Uber out super weird in ND.... .... Uber bought lyft. My background is good for Uber, but not Lyft. 😂😂😂
LOL they both are terrible here the same here. The average unless a surge is .45 if you get surge they try and try ro get you to drive extra miles so it then becomes .55 a mile is you do.
