There is no doubt that the result is great, a piece of art but the video is fantastic, the editing work is done by a professional, I am impressed and the music was a very lucky choice, it is fantastic. As a result, we have a video that is enjoyable from start to finish. congratulations,

Thank you so much Manuel! I do everything myself, and i know not everyone likes the music or length of my video's. I couldn't let anyone else edit or film it, it's all to personal.

That isn't just wood turning , that's Art. The Greek word _techné_ where we get words like 'technology from , meant fro the Greeks both Art and Technology. they didn't see a division between the two things; craft and Art combined. You demonstrated that here.

I have done some woodworks in the past but this woodwork plan th-cam.com/users/postUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG helps me do much in a far lesser time than i used to do i have already built several projects with this plan and i intend to do many more soon. Thank you so much!

Thomas: i made this out of an optical illusion o_o

This is a work of art, not waste of wood. for those people who said that he is wasting wood..i wanna see them face to face and give them the same amount of wood he used in the video and ask them to do something better with the wood with less or no waste. If they cant come up with something, then Im gonna shove all those wood up their @zz and pull it out and hit them in the head with all those wood and then tell them...now that's wasting wood.

+Thomas Anton Geurts (woodworking) i have a few questions.
      1) in the video where you made the smaller version of the bowl you were using danish oil for the wood.are you perhaps danish. it's a weird assumption, i know.
      2) the links in the description that should lead to your Etsy profile just shows a typical 404 screen. what happened?

Professional wood turners👎👎👎. The bottom is too thick, when your thicknesses are varied it’s going to crack. He also showed how his glue joints are flawed and had to fill them, the inside corners don’t even resemble the outside,,,,, I could go on. The design is awesome but the lack of experience shows, he will improve in time. Hold the tools closer to the grinder as well, sharp tools make all the difference.

I have never said this about a piece of furniture, but I am in love with this work of art! I love how you put it together in the beginning, I love the optical illusion, I love the colors of the wood, I love the curves of the bowl. I even love the imperfect perfections of the flaws in the wood! There isn't anything about this piece that I don't love. If I had the money, I would definitely buy this bowl from you!❤❤❤❤❤

Beautiful bowl. Love the close-up and far out shots of video. The real-time cutting was real nice too. Reality video really helps show us beginners how to address the spinning wood with our tools and the farther out shots show well body position and stance. Really a very educational video and all without talking us to death. Truely love the background music, but would like to hear the music of tool on wood more. Thanks for sharing your skills and approach with us.

I wish they hadn't speeded up the beginning so quickly. It would have been interesting to see how he did that. That would be more interesting than seeing him in real time screwing an unscrewing the attachments. In any case an amazing work. A real piece of art!

Really cool bowl, but I need to know something. Is it purely decorative? I'm trying to figure out what someone would use this bowl for and I'm coming up blank.

My father used to make bowls and platters like this that my mother would use for dinner parties for salads, sweetbreads, and such when sealed properly. Their guests would marvel at the craftsmanship and ask where they bought them. He did one out of worm wood that he filled with clear resin then turned that was breathtaking.

Lovely piece again of art in wood. The elution when viewing it on the screen fab! There is so much pleasure in watching a top craftsman at work BUT perhaps its the inspiration that you create that caps it all. Best of luck in your work.

While the work is absolutely stunning, the video is about twice as long as it should be and the music is mindnumbing. It’s not an aquarium or fireplace loop for heaven sake.

Ok, so do I have this right?...there are 927 mindless, soulless zombies trolling this video?? Things that have no understanding or appreciation of beauty, art, self-expression, patience, perseverance or purpose??? How sad it must be for those poor unhappy trolls. I am sorry for you.

The blanks are mirrored parallelograms and a 45 degree rotated square fit into a hexagon but yet it produces such complexity combined with the curvature of the edge. That's amazing.
