    Just made them and we loved them. Shared with my neighbors because one batch made 28. Wish I could add a picture to show you the final product. By the way, I added cinnamon and Jamaican all spice. And I used an ice cream scooper to pour the batter in the oil. Thank you for this great video.

    I just made these and I love them! I do have a question. Do you have a preferred way to preserve them? I was thinking about freezing them to see how they thaw.

      Happy you love them, Ruth! Store them in a ziploc bag. You need to keep air from getting to them. I just keep them in the fridge as they finish within days. But freezing to fine too. When they thaw, you can pop them into the microwave for about 10 seconds, adding only a few seconds at a time until they are soft. But be careful, if you overheat them up in the microwave they will harden up. Hope this helps.

    In my country we called it Makala, omg I love them, so good memories from my childhood. Fortunately, my aunt do them from time to time, but she uses ripe bananas instead of platain. Thank you

      Active dry yeast can be bought from any grocery store in the United States.

    ahhh finally a simple vid lol. i know how to make fried plantains..way too easy. curious...do u know how to make a simple plantain pudding? if so could u pls post? im broke on a budget so stuck with simple ingredients...if i have to use evaporated milk in it tho that would be ok. TY

    Hello Precious! Great recipe. I tried it for the first time today but my only issue was that the shape was not as round. Other than that it tasted good. Mommy, daddy, and grandma approved lol. Any ideas or suggestions?

      Hi dear, you could use a medium cookie scoop or a tablespoon to drop the batter into the oil.

      Poisonous Glam not exactly. It is similar to Accra Banana but the texture is different.

      chinny madukife yes you must if you want the texture of puff puff. Alternately you could use baking powder. That will give you something like plantain buns.

      Okoli Maureen the standard American measuring cup. One cup equals 125 grams.

      The oil wasn't hot enough. When oil isn't hot enough Puff Puff tends to absorb it.
