Tatale is Ghana's spiced plantain pancakes. It is made with overripe plantains...plantain is one produce item that you never say never to in Ghana. Never throw away ripe plantains in a Ghanaian's home...no matter how overly ripe😄 For your tatale to bw perfct you want it to be very overipe and of course that means your pancakes are sure to be sweet. The spice added gives a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. It is served with Bambara beans and you need to try it to understand.
I made this with blended oats instead of corn flour because i was on a diet and it came out great. Also I fried with vegetable oil instead of palm oil.
girl, you just put me in trouble, this is one of my husband's favorite. When my mum came to visit she made some for him an ever since then, he always wants some. I do have some ripen plaintains and i was slacking on making it but after watching g your video with him, he wants me to make it. lo. Guess my next video will be in honor of you. Your kitchen is always nice and clean. Love the camera you ae using. That bambara beans was everything. I dont remember the last time i had some, been such a long time.
Hahaha. I hope made it oo. I don't blame him at all. It is so good. Yes, It will be great to watch you make it. Lets make our Ghanaian food popular 1 video at a time❤❤. It is great with black eyed peas too in case you can't find bambara beans.

You are very sweet
No we don't add sugar and in the olden days there's no brown sugar.
Finger Licking😍😍😋😋
Very much so☺

Is flour optional?
It helps the pancake hold up. You may omit it or use another kind of flour prefereable... I am guessing you are looking for a gluten free option.
