My partner loved it so much and we added into our weekly top 5 menu :D I made some changes but the consistency was still the same. * I added 2 onions and 3 cloves of garlic, * Replaced carrot with white cabbage, tapioca with agar agar * Added dried tomato, hot pepper and spices + ground ginger * No oil but added exta soy sauce, give it a mix and ready to cook!

I don’t think they are instant oats. However when they mixed it in the hot water it did get soft seemingly quicker than typical rolled oats. But from the bag of oats they showed it looks like rolled oats to me. The rolled oats I get looks exactly like this this. Instant oats in the states are pretty small, powdery and gross. Best
I would add cheak pea mashed n mashed potatoe with the other ingredients n that you usedn stick of veg if vegetarian( stock) not stick and make a thick batter try it.
Sure you can But I Highly recomend to add one tablespoon of olive oil into the mixture :) Or sprinkle oil on banking sheet and on the top of the strips and bake them :)
Can you still make it without nutritional yeast? (not sure what that's that is). Can cornstarch be a sub for the tapioca starch? Would love to try to make these. 😊
Nutritional yeast aka nooch is a "cheesy" tasting powdery ingredient used in vegan recipes as a cheese substitute. You can get it in a lot of supermarkets now. It really is delicious.
This recipe is not really full of protein, alas. But I bet you could add some garbanzo flour or lentil flour (could be homemade) or another protein powder to increase the protein content.
