This is a REAL review. The most concise and critical review, not just reacting 'wow! I like this' to everything like every other youtuber. Much appreciated.

Ah snap Darian I never actually commented here! Thank you for doing this and reviewing my portfolio. I've been working about 9 months now and I finally updated my stanky-ass contact form.
By the way, the reason the Expenses App isn't hosted is because it's an Electron app, not a web app. I got stuck when trying to build the app into a downloadable package, and never got back around to that since I'm not job searching now and the project is dated - maybe one day!
I feel super gratified by your comments! A lot of work went into all this stuff. Hope your girlfriend's job search went well and if she did find a job using Javascript Jobs USA that'd be pretty sick.

@@peteryoung4705 Thanks. During the pandemic I was unemployed, so I did 3 months of full-time learning, then a 4-month bootcamp.
Flexbox and responsive design might have been the most impactful skills I learned that helped me build a good looking UI. I liked flexbox zombies for that.

Wait.. People are using something like Wix to build a site and then adding it to their resume as if they built it? I'm confused... I'm still a 1st-year student but I would assume if it's on your resume, that you build it from scratch?

I just started a web developer bootcamp and so far only touched html and css and so much to learn.
My question is if i wanna focus on front end or full stack. I dont have a degree and really have a passion to learn coding.
I dont wanna learn too many different things otherswise i feel like i wouldnt have went deep enough on any.
My plan so far is html/Css/Javascript/React in that order.
After the bootcamp go deeper on react.
Let me know your opinion , im not in a rush to learn and get a job but i wanna be efficient and learn the right way and hopefully in 12 months or so be confident enough to apply for a job

I dont know many, i recognized that codependent background template (with the hover effects) as being reused code years ago before i even started doing frontend or coded seriously. I am pretty sure a hiring manager would notice right away and it could give them a bad impression of you right off the bat.
They might not care, but its just not worth it in my opiniom to use a tacky design and risk it.
