Edit: am i the only one who thinks it's copied portfolio?
8:20 lmaoooooo
Bro was trolling with Dusvord on there 😂
I don't know why but honestly, the most portfolios I have seen on your videos that they actually copy from TH-cam tutorials
Even the actual good ones, such as the first one? Or the last "episode"'s flutter portfolio?
And regardless, would that be bad? I mean, if I can improve my own portfolio by looking at someone else's and getting closer and closer to that person's portfolio, I'll still be improving my own, which should be a net positive🤔 in fact, it would be dumb not to do that.I've been wondering about that honestly. It would be sweet if Anthony could make a video about this and then see his input as well as people's opinions on the comments
@@user-ii7xc1ry3x It's different to copy line by line what someone else does you're not learning anything in that...if you copy a website or portfolio without following a guide then you're actually learning!
@@user-ii7xc1ry3x If you only want to improve yourself by watching their portfolio, it's alright, I can feedback the core of problem of most portfolio.
- The problems in this video here are not lack of creativity like you wonder. Their most portfolio's core problem here is lack of the fundamental of design, UI/UX
+ The first here is UI (user interface), they don't follow the logic of Mathletics and composition basics, make audience feel uneasy to see and hard to keep exploring the website.
+ The second here is UX (user experience), plus the problem in the UI can cause to the UX. The most portfolio I see that they still don't think so much about our experience (scroll, drag, click, ...) because TH-cam tutorials frequently don't mention about UX
In short, the core problem here can only be CSS (except the JavaScript, UX problem). You can learn from Rockstar website, and learn how to use CSS Grid
@@user-ii7xc1ry3x The whole point of a portfolio is to showcase your skills to a potential client or employer, but if all your work is copied from tutorials or other people's projects you aren't showcasing anything. There's a fine line between taking inspiration vs copying someone.
@@TheMidnightillusion Recruiters don't know if you copied, or took inspiration from someone or if you made it all by yourself. If it looks nice, has all the info they need to know about you in it (and easily accessible ofc). Literally no problem at all. So Idk what this "fine line" you're talking about is to be honest. Most recruiters btw, don't come from a developer/engineering background, so they have no idea if something was hard to build.
So basically, most of them go by how nice it looks, how good it feels when navigating around to find information about you, and 99.99% of the time, as soon as they find the "resume" button, they'll just click it and go over your resume, (perhaps they might check 1 or at most 2 projects you have listed), that's it.
So literally; copy your resume, copy your portfolio, copy whatever you think represents you best, and just put your own skills, projects and details in it. Doesn't matter what-so-ever.
thanks for reviewing mine :D
really nice site. How do you learn how to animate like that ? 😭
@ practice makes perfect :)
Nice content bro! Keep doing it, I'll make my portfolio
cant wait to see it
i watched this live really fun concept.
thanks for watchin :D
I think the problem with the first one is that recruiters and HR wouldn't look through that. It's too much to get information that should be at a glance. It's super cool and good, and I really like it, but I don't think it deserved 30/30 :D
I can't find the link to the first site in the google docs
