    As i'm still in a walking boot i can't do too much, but this little mod was irresistible...
    Please stay tuned for the next upgrades as they are going to be amazing!
    At Drivenmad, we repair, maintain and upgrade vehicles in our workshop, here in the sunny Algarve, Portugal.
    Having hundreds of kilometres of dirt roads, dirt tracks and various hills with ruts on our doorstep, we venture out and test our 4x4’s to the limit (our limit, not theirs  )
    When we can get one, we will slip in a vehicle review, along with some product testing - who does not want to know which tyre stops the best ?
    So subscribe and join our journey as we modify, test and improve our cars in as many ways as possible.

    Juat fit mine today and the brown plug should push and twist into the new lenses

      That’s what we thought. You are right, but for some reason the ones I purchased didn’t have space for that. Poor design.
      Thanks for the comment 👍

    Those lights all look a genuine improvement, they’ll really smarten the car up. Nice one.

    Great lights. You could use self amalgamating tape to make the connection waterproof.

    Use apiece of plastic hose. Approx 30mm long, or any waterproof tube .Before you connect new unit put the tube over plug, connect new unit (test) then fill cavity in tube with silicone sealant, pass back
    this through hole in wing and click into place. One watertight connection

    Hi Nath.....regarding the front indicators to make them more water resistant to corrosion then use heat shrink, that will prevent water ingress to the connectors.
    Best regards,
    Srefano

      Morning Stefano - we tried that, the connector on the car is thumb size and the new light is just a tiny wire - when we did the heatshrink, to fit the large connection, it did not shrink enough to the new light wires - hard to explain but once the large bit is done, you cannot get another smaller bit on to double secure, if that makes any sense - we thought it would hold water and make matters worse - but easy to re do, but we are a little stumped on how to get a water tight seal. all the best Nath

      @@DrivenMadShow Hi Nath.....
      Ok can you not heat shrink the large fitting first, then use smaller size heat shrinks one fitted over the other until the smaller wire is covered?
      Unfortunately if you leave the connectors unprotected they will corrode and cause you electrical problems.
      If the heat shrink will not work then i suggest using self fusing silicone tape, its not expensive here in the UK is approximately £8 per roll.
      With the silicone tape you can then cut a piece from the roll and wrap both the large piece and connector making everything water resistant.
      I have sent Jon the details of the tape to help you.
      Best regards,
      Stefano

    Heat shrink might work or self amalgamating tape,

    To keep water tight use shrink tube

    • @DrivenMadShow
      @DrivenMadShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Two very different sizes were our problem - to get to the fattest bit, it would not shrink enough to seal the thinnest part.

    • @randyadkins1476
      @randyadkins1476 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could try inserting a smaller size inside the larger one and then what we do here in Canada is use black electrical tape and wrap the whole thing I just ordered them for mine good luck

      Link to the light maker on Facebook - facebook.com/fabio.musumeci.37604 - he was good at communicating, bit slow on the delivery - but loving the rear lights (see them this Friday) - fitting the new fronts next week, look great in my hand, sure even better when fitted :) (PS - not a scrap of paperwork with the delivery for interest, ie no invoice - we paid up front so were nervous like you - lot of dosh these were !! ) he is only contactable via facebook. Went to Lisbon this week ( I do a lot) , became odd how many stared at the car, gave me the thumbs up etc, only change is the rear lights :)

      @DrivenMadShow  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SchlongusLongus indicators are 20 - 30 euros (depends on style and where you get them) the headlights are a different story, it again depends on what you have done and the style you choose - I paid (are you sitting down !! ) 950 euros for them, but have gone the whole hog :) wish I could fit them, still waiting for the Abarth dealer to fix the damage they did to my car 😭

      @@DrivenMadShow €950 is of course quite a lot. i am from germany and we have the problem with the TÜV. The place that says whether we are allowed to use modifications or not. I think I have to ask around in the German Abarth community first, if anyone has had any experience with the custom headlights and the TÜV.
      anyway, your video of installing the joying radio helped me a lot. got mine fully operational yesterday.
      thanks for that. I'm definitely looking forward to more videos of your abarth
