    Wow, interesting! They need to use a better thermometer for sure! Need to take that back. Hugs🤗💜
    P.s. make sure you film when the turkeys chase Mike😂😂 (they will end up dinner in no time). When I was little I managed to infuriate the turkey at my grandma's house, lucky me... there was a fence between us. I was probably around 4 years old.🦃

    Did you ever use her new incubator? I picked up one off of Facebook Market for $50. Hoping it wasn't wasted.

    Thanks for all the great information.. I have a question for you? Hope you can help me, turn out we bought a little giant encubator which we already used once with great success following some of your tips. We are trying to use it again but the screen if flickering and the temperature reads at 188f
    We need your help to fix this issue with the incubator please.

      Thanks for watching! What model of incubator do you have? It sounds like there might be a loose wire with the temperature gauge. Check all the wires and make sure none of them are folded in half or exposed (out of the coating that is around the wire).

    My humidity is at running at 66%. How do I bring that down or is 66% good for turkey eggs

  • @GrammaDeath625
    @GrammaDeath625 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    that second device you put in has a cord that is stopping a good fit of the lid . And I think you are suppose to remove both plugs for air flow. By the way- you should only use distilled water in any incubator . You didn't get the eggs yet and you should always let them stand in a egg carton -pointy side down at room temp for 6 to 24 hours so I'm confused as to why you pre-heated the machine so far in advance.

      Thanks Nancy for watching! The incubator actually has a premade notch for the cords to lay flat for the egg turner cord. The thermometer cords are super thin and when I close the incubator you can't see daylight around the closure. I started my incubator in advance (at least 24 hrs) prior to putting any eggs in it at all. Just to make sure I've got the accurate temp. Yes, I'm aware of how to store the eggs and I also talk about it in one of my videos. Thanks for your tips as well.

      You are correct. A few hours is good. IF you want to test your machine. If you trust the machine then disinfect with vinegar/water solution. Run for a couple hours to get the humidity up and go ahead with placing your eggs. POINT DOWN. BTW in the video she placed it on a towel blocking the vent holes DON'T DO THAT!! It will, as you saw, cause the machine to run hot. Always place them on a hard surface. Hope this helps

      @@farmmom7140 hello 🤗 I had to get another incubator the other one had a short and that caused the temperature to spike up so much I burned the inside of the incubator 🥺. I got a replacement one but they sent me another digital one and I had ordered the one of Your link aswell they will replace it if I don’t like it but I have 4 thermometers going so far🤦🏿‍♀️. I got a incu therm plus from your link and that shows about 3-5 degrees of what the inside thermometer 🌡 says I also have another one and that always shows about a 4 degrees difference Aswell. So they are all about 3-5 degrees different
