- Korone seems to be more interested in movie posters and subway ads during a zombie apocalypse.

An intern worked real hard on that poster art and is currently crying with joy over someone taking the time to appreciate them.
Real hard? They literally just recreated pre-existing promotional material for famous movies using legally distinct artwork. I’d be genuinely impressed if they looked like original films you haven’t seen but wanted to.
@@InceyWincey Even that takes time. "worked really hard" doesn't mean "spent 1000 hours on the concept of"
@@InceyWinceyInsinuating that those posters are easy to make is a slap to the faces of countless artists and illustrators. Considering you watch Hololive, do you find all of Ina's drawings "easy"? Can you seriously watch a full stream of Ina drawing and say "She didn't work hard for that"?
@@InceyWincey Taking the time to slightly change the names and artwork is more than Hollywood is doing these days. It's all sequels, reboots and comic book adaptations.
@@imhappy._.I appreciate the technical skill required to create a piece of art, but it seems to me that this is like praising a carpenter for making a chair. It is his job, it is not difficult for him, he does it all the time.
Now if the chair were to include all sorts of impressive decorative additions, scrollwork, statuettes adorning the arm rests, a carved depiction of grand scene across the back, and legs fashioned into the lifelike design of trees or something, then I would praise the effort put into it.
Perhaps my expectations are too high.
Korone identifying Western references never gets old, haha
Out of all the HoloJPs, I think Korone is #1 when it comes to western film knowledge, especially the classics.
Maintaining her queen westaboo crown as always. lol
@@ArchiveRagtagMoeshe'd probably beat more than a few HoloEN too haha
@@behemotexo2*look at Bae*
One moment thats sadly lost to the great purge was when she finished a game really quickly and spent the rest of the stream talking about her favourite movies.
Turns out her tastes are just as varied and wild as she is, as she mentioned Hostel, green mile, saw and of all things green lantern
I love the immediate "I can't read this" and walks away
Followed up with the absentminded “huh….” At 2:00 xD
She just like me, fr.
I think the A without the crossbar confused her; she didn't know if it was an inverted U or what.
@@UGNAvalonIt sounded like she finished it up with "ker" to me.
@@CarbonRollerCacoyeah, I'd be confused at a capital lambda being used as an A in English too if I hadn't seen it and things like it before
The instant reflexive Japanese apology as soon as she realizes she's been keeping the NPC waiting lmao
It's kind of sweet she stopped to look at all the posters, and she was ultimately rewarded with the Mega Man Easter Egg haha
I like that it looks like bad artwork megaman too.
I kinda want her to notice the Dr. Light and Dr. Wily poster lol
@@riskvideos I believe that was also a reference to Marvel Comics, probably also reference to Iron Man.
Air Combat 1942 is also a Capcom game
@@riskvideos To me it looked like Netflix Liveaction adaptation. lol.
Fun fact about the Air Combat 1942. Not only is it a joke on Top Gun but also a Nod to the game 1942 by the producer of Resident Evil an old Capcom arcarde Game from the early 80s
This is the first time I've ever seen this reference in RE3R & laughed when I saw the title. I've always thought 1942 was kinda weird in that it was made by a Japanese developer about the US military fighting Japan in WWII... 😬
@@5-Volt 'Yeah, we sided with the wrong people that time... We'll let you kill us too in video game'
@@5-Volt Apparently it was the first Capcom game designed with western audiences in mind.
It's also probably a spoof of "Ace Combat" too, so that's 3 references in 1!
"tyrant of the deep"
"Disa-- i cant read it.."
well the A looked off, and her japanese brain is hard-wired that small differences make a whole other sound.
Korone is so well read on Western media that she can tell if the posters are real or fake. That's really impressive.
She's come a long way from "I'm die. Thank you forever."
1:03 the way she just give up instantly is so precious
Always a treat to witness Korone English moments ❤
Fire in water, why? Have confidence, no confidence. I die, thank you forever.
Her excited panting when she recognized Rockman :3
And naturally it's Megaman 1 Boxart version too
0:21 That's impressive. Her "Damn It" sounds 100% legit, full on "murica" english.
always appreciate those environment details in video game
Let me just-
*replays Korone's "damn it." for the Nth time*
0:21
Kowone is cultured enough to know the reference 😊
2:11 The sudden switch in tone lmao
That's Koroneglish for ya'. Flawlessly pronounces a word you'd never expect her to know, others she just walks away from lol.
Also it's very adorable how excited she gets over the references! Really showing off her pop culture knowledge.
i mean that's just pretty much language learning in a nutshell haha. You can be really good at understanding some things and it *looks* like you know the language really well, and then you get to the things you don't know and then your understanding just plummets to zero haha.
Korone: This is way too realistic!
*Gets realistically haymakered* lol
1:13 The Top Gun style poster there makes 2 homages. One obviously is the movie Top Gun. But it also makes an homage to an arcade game from the 1980s, "1942" made by Capcom. That was a big success for the company and one of the first Capcom games I played as a kid. For 1942 you're flying a P-38, which is front and center on that poster.
The name Air Combat is also a play on Ace Combat!
"These all sound interesting." Lobster do be
She is getting better i give her that.
God, I love how much of a westaboo she is.
Walking around and Korone getting distracted by every single thing along the way is another dog-like Korone-ism.
it's like walking a dog and it has to sniff every single thing it sees
2:12 Ahh...
Korone: That's Top Gun.
Austin Powers Guy: But it isn't!
Austin Powers Other Guy: But we should run like it is!
I'm pretty impressed she could tell that the Megaman comic book was was Rockman considering that it was entirely based on the NA NES Megaman 1 bad box art.... unless that boxart is also infamous enough to be known in Japan.
I think western box art is kind of a running joke in Japan anyway. It's always so serious and angry individuals staring forward.
1:24 Bubble Bobble.
Heh. It's not just Top Gun, it's also Capcom's old arcade hit 1942. Multi-references are always a treat.
And I wonder if she knows about Bad Box Art Mega Man.
I was really hoping she'd notice the Dr.Light & Dr.Wily science conference poster
This is something I do in games as well and I knew I'm not alone
Her English still needs some work help god bless her cute soul, that doggo is getting better.
It warms my heart a little bit when I see someone enjoying all the little details in a game.
Her Kansai dialect just came out naturally🤣
For all the times we're forced to wait for them, NPC's should definitely wait up while players appreciate very important artwork.
Korone saw Mega Man and went full King George III: "I know him! That can't be!"
Someone who just got into Vtubers probably would think Korone is from HoloEN with that "Damn it".
As you can tell from her Twitter sub-account, Korone is a movie fanatic.
NGL, I wouldn't mind a "Top Gun"-style movie that took place in 1942.
1:00: Is it just me, or does it look like Korone's getting thrown off by the barless A?
I love when games actually bother to make the decorations unique. A lot of them will just make a few then copy-paste them across the entire game.
It's funny cause those are movie posters, so if they made 2 and copy pasted them everywhere, it would be close to reality anyway ;)
"This is too realistic!" she cries as a huge man smashes her face in.
She missed the Astro crunch and anime girl poster that were behind some boxes.
I like her outfit
She has come a long way since "study of Japan"
Very good Korone chan! Your English reading is getting better!
Korone is just the cutest pupper.
Someone send this Nagzz.
The "Air Combat 1942" poster is actually a reference to the arcade game 1942 released in 1984 by Capcom.
Yeah but the picture is clearly supposed to be Top Gun.
Impressive!
Ok for real, when the guy reached in for a hug and the girl slapped him away I thought:
"if anyone does that to me, I'm letting them die. Personal space and all"
I love how Nemesis just runs up and vibe checks her near the beginning.
Cute Doog, thanks for the clip!
korone is too precious!!
Impressive skills, nuff said
Best doggo
1:36 Ara~
Rescue Worker: Korone! We have to run, this entire subway is about to cave in
Korone: Wait a few minutes, I gotta read these English ads and movie posters first.
I love yukkuri gameplays :)
Her having trouble reading Disaster reminds me of someone joking to Oda that the One Piece logo looked like "Nep Ece" lol
We can see the Λ is DISΛSTER as an 'A', but a non-native speaker might not make the instant connection.
Just like I can read a few kanji in print, but handwritten kanji? I have no clue (the strokes and simplifications can be very different to the printed form).
She's trying her best.
The way she gave up on Disaster loool she tried.
1:34 Just saving that "Ara~~~~" for later
rembers * rockman 2 playthrough screaming *
So cute!! ^^
The Mega Man on the poster was the same one as the North American versions box art lol.
This is so cute
A master of engrish at work
Me when Capcom references Mega man.
Her new look is cute
I was so sad she walked right past the Mega Man Posters with Dr Light and Dr Wily.
I love that it's just a bunch of in-joke references to Capcom's stable of games. _1942_ is a legit classic from the arcades in the 80's and the NES/SFAM.
Just remember that she knew inversion, which i sometimes don't even remember is a thing.
1:00 Disu- Nutto!!!
that "damn it" was pretty close to native! sasuga dogoooooo
Those off-brand movie posters are funny 😂
“God-Pog-Having-Fun-Pog”
Dammit 😤
to be fair, that A in disaster was weird. it definitely seems like that's what threw her off. i imagine if they switched up letters on me while im trying to read in a foreign language id be fucked up.
korone's english is great.
Each day the doog consumes more knowledge to communicate with the oversea fans
"jims crab's" omoshirouso!!!!
1:06 funny enough, that was a shoot em up game by capcom they made into a poster
bruh nemesis just popping up out of nowhere and suckerpunching Jill made me laugh
I'm pretty sure that Air Combat 1942 is supposed to be a reference to the Capcom shoot-em-up 1942.
SQUIRREL! XD
she didnt notice the dctor light/wiley poster. im so disappointed
Koronenglish is still next level.
Tyrantu Of Za Deepu
I want to see Tyrant of the Deep.
im surprised how many thing i wouldnt expect someone from japan too know knows like if it werent baked into me i doubt i wouldve known about top gun
Ahhhh I forgot that they call megaman rockman over there I wonder if she thought it was just another parody or if she knew
Air Combat 1942, while a visual reference to Top Gun i do wonder if the parody name was chosen because of the old Capcom game "1942"? because Top Gun takes place in the 80s🤔
TEMMO LAUGH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You always look at these things properly, just in case they got references to previous games or old movies, pop cultures etc. Which they usually do.
miu shina chatta dakedo.....
AAHHHH!!!....
-_- this is a toddler level of curiousity
How did she read "Tyrant of the Deep" but not those other titles???
Part of it came down to the fonts. The "A" in "DISASTER" is missing a line, making it look like an upside-down V, for example.
as an native English speaker i can tell you that its because the english language is Both Impressive and Confusing
When did she get a new rig? It looks amazing.
Korone likes Mega Man?
Good dog.
