There are some basic patterns that don't take much time to memorize. Its not about watching gameplay, you just have to put in some effort to actually learn how the game works. That doesn't mean its easy though, especially under pressure. Puyo Puyo also has an inherent advantage vs Tetris in this game, its very hard for a Tetris player to win against a Puyo Puyo player because of how garbage works.@@NonJohns

I think the separating factor between a good Tetris player and merely a decent one is whether or not they can/know how to set up and do T-spins effectively. After having watched someone who can it really is night and day as far as I as a spectator can say, that all said so long as Korone is having fun I couldn't care less if she is a good Tetris player or not.

Puyo players have a clear advantage over the tetris players, their little tournament even showed how big the difference was. tetris players were racking up lines and scoring well into the 40K's and then get oneshot by a puyo cascade that makes 5000 points. it's really unbalanced

No offence to Marine but the puyo puyo is much easier than Tetris.
It's harder to do chain in Tetris as it requires more planning and vision whereas when it comes to puyo puyo you only need to stack up same dual color boxes.

Puyo's got aggressive multipliers and tetris has a speed cap in puyo tetris 2 so being good at puyo could give marine and flare a shot at taking games off suisei. Suisei also doesn't do 4 wides in literally every game, so it might be possible she doesn't know about ppt2 4 wide bonuses
