@@mr.awesome6011 not really, if the next console is backwards compatible, it's just helping them, and if not, it's helping the customers, people would be buying the games to play it in the future in their switch 2
It's wild how Sony and Xbox fans say "Its like the 9th generation hasn't started yet!", meanwhile Nintendo is churning out games on a 7.5 year old tablet like nobody's business EDIT: was it something I said? 😅
Fr, the list of Ps5 exclusives is so depressing Edit: Also forgot to mention this but the Ps5 Pro has leaked and it’s supposedly $600 without a disc drive and $700 with💀 and it’s gonna be revealed in September when Nintendo is very likely to reveal their next console. Sony shot themselves in the foot ngl
The COVID related chip shortages meant they couldn't get consoles out, so they had to keep making games for PS4 and Xbox One, so we barely have any games that show us what the PS5 and Xbox Series X are truly capable of. And now Sony wants to put out a PS5 Pro even though we haven't even gotten games that push the PS5 Amatuer to its limits. What a waste. Doesn't help that Xbox rarely has games in general, and PlayStation went all in on live services and that has absolutely not paid off for them.
I remember in 2023 someone said that Totk was the last big game for switch, yet here we are getting Mario Wonder, Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, Mario and Luigi Brothership, Mario Party Jamboree, a remake of The Thousand Year Door, a new Famicom Detective Club, Pokemon Legends ZA, and Metroid Prime 4
“Well, the Switch had a good run. Maybe a game or two I want before I can but it up for next year…” Nintendo: Here’s three upcoming JRPGs you totally want now. “Why”
because PS5 and Xbox are running out of games, Nintendo knew that the Wind is on their side, therefore, if they create a lot of games for people to play, people will more likely to abandon their PS5 and Xbox and play more games on switch. their game took shorter time to develop, and graphics on Switch is pretty much irrelevant, and every game that they made now is transferable to their gen console, this is becoming the game of Content for them
@@jensenraylight8011 The other consoles both get way more 3rd party games than Switch, PlayStation even gets some games by Xbox. As for 1st party Xbox at least is growing the number of games they release. Nintendo releases a lot of games because that is their main source of revenue. It's not a console war strategy.
Since when did the fanbase want that? The Switch is amazingly designed and honestly I hope the Switch 2 is just that: an upgraded switch with the same foundation but with better specs and maybe a few extra little things.
Backwards compatibility is why I favour the PC as a primary machine, and the Switch for exclusives, so if the next one can run my switch titles, that'd be gold. ...Not really relevant, but said preference for backwards compatibility is also why I dropped Steam like a sack of bricks. Yeah, great one Valv€, refuse to allow people on Win7 or older to access their libraries while continuing to sell games that _literally don't run on modern hardware._ 🏴☠
Either they'll have backwards compatibility and have the next console games only for the switch 2 or something. So that way the new console transitions nicely, while have the players still be able to play the games they have on the previous console, with better graphics, fps, and powerful console. While the chance to play new games meant for the new switch 2. Kinda genius
To be fair, Nintendo is able to do this by holding onto completed games for YEARS sometimes. They allowed themselves a small backlog to release things in between the actual releases
What a weird comment. Why so that “to be fair”? What makes anyone else unable to do the same thing? Nintendo having better project management than other publishers doesn’t mean they are “cheating”. They just run their business better, often weathering heavy criticism for doing “the wrong thing “ only for people to later come around and realize it was the right thing.
@@JazGalaxy I never said they were cheating, I just brought up a MAJOR point that Arlo completely skipped over. It is a completely different business strategy and it works for Nintendo currently because of the type of games that they make, however as development times get longer and longer, I don’t think they will be able to just hold onto the finished games for years at a time this next generation
DK Returns HD is probably a perfect example, no way that thing isn't nearly complete, or that it would take until January to release, that is simply the better release date considering their other releases.
@@Falanwe I don't think the Wii had the same staying power as the Switch, and certainly didn't have the same amount of quality games or positive reputation. The Wii was a high point, but not a golden age. Compare it to the SNES and Switch and you can see the difference. The Wii is not bad, it is certainly beloved and had great games for sure. But it wasn't quite a golden era.
I get the urge to want the next best thing, but I kind of respect Nintendo for keeping their hardware middle of the road as well as supporting it for a long time. In the era of a phone release every year with a mid-year refresh, it's nice to see a company hang on to their stuff and support it long after another company would
Nintendo: "We are proud to announce that we will be revealing our next system in mid 2025." Fans: "Ah, so the Switch is gonna start dying?" Nintendo: "Of course, of course. And on that note... New Mario Party, Pizza Tower, Capcom Fighting Collection, New Legend of Zelda, New Metroid, New Mario & Luigi, New Civilization, Capcom Fighting Collection... again, New... wait, did you say dying? We meant thriving."
Funny thing is the 3DS would have still sold like hotcakes for years, but Nintendo needed a successor to the Wii U. Nintendo slowed down support for 3DS because it was honestly one of the biggest competitors to Switch. We already had portable Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Smash Bros., the Switch had a lot to live up to. Not to mention an amazing plethora of Pokemon and Zelda games. Crazy we still got good new 3DS games only 5 years ago
We are now dealing with Nintendo’s final form. They’ve learned from all of their biggest mistakes in a way no other publisher has, and they never stopped focusing on making fun games every step along the way. They’ve always had the vision, now they have the successful model for consistency as well. It’ll be a long time before they see another big failure or dry spell, if ever again
I’ve had PlayStation most of my life but picked up a switch and sold on Nintendo. They’re doing what games want… creating high quality games!!!! Love PlayStation, but the low quantity of games doesn’t justify
Even without the rereleases and ports, I feel like the Switch just has the best library of first party titles Nintendo has ever released on a single system. Just based on the software for the generation, it's Nintendo's best console.
Kind of crazy to look at this list and recollect the memories of each of them releasing over the years. As much as I love the GC library I think switch might have it beat as one of if not the greatest 1st party lineups of all time
You have to remember that Nintendo do not have remakes of basically undiscovered Wii U games as they did with the early years of the switch for the next gen console.
@@shadowside8433 True, but conversely, the handheld and home dev teams are in full synchronization now. When Switch started, there were still new 3DS games being developed and released. Also, and this is a claim I make with no hard evidence, but I do think Nintendo will do Deluxe versions of Switch games on Switch 2. I made a video about it so… shameless self-promo!!
This tells me it's the end of the console's lifespan if all the big releases are coming out at the same time while they prepare for the Switch's successor. Not a bad thing. It's nice to finally have all these remakes and collections. It's what we've been asking for. But I do wish Nintendo wouldn't spend the early years trickling it out so slowly and make the release dates more balanced over time.
I think it was *supposed* to be more balanced... But COVID happened. Which...uh, delayed a number of titles. Just a few. We had a somewhat standard two years, if a bit loaded with heavy hitters, but enforcing basically a year and a half to two years slow on development kicked a lot of projects down the line.
@@edmg7 I wouldn't call it a scam, but I owned a Wii U, and the first several years of the Switch's life were dryer than the worst Wii U or 3DS droughts for me. No I don't want Mario Kart 8 again. No I don't want Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze again. No I don't want Pikmin 3 again. Do you have any new games for the system? No, that's just Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and New Super Mario Bros U again. Guess I'll play PlayStation and Xbox instead (this was before the 9th gen launched and they didn't have games either) while I want for Nintendo Switch to finally get some games I haven't already played... Whether or not that's what OP meant? I dunno, like I said, I wouldn't personally call that a scam. This is just the best explanation I can think of.
Sony and Microsoft: No no no NO! Agent John McShooty is supposed to have 146,239 hairs on his head! This model has- I DON’T CARE THAT IT’S BEEN EIGHT YEARS FIX IT Nintendo: haha what if we made peach a chef :)
Never have liked realistic graphics. I love stylized pixel graphics. My favorite games are pixely games (Pokémon Black/White and Stardew Valley), and I honestly believe mainline Pokémon peaked graphics-wise in gen 5. It hasn’t looked as nice since then.
That’s less a Sony and Microsoft problem than a AAA culture problem. They try to sell games off graphics because that scales well with big budgets, and is therefore a safe bet compared to unique gameplay hooks that may not click with everyone. We’ve just reached a point of diminishing returns with graphics now. Nintendo deliberately avoiding that arms race from the Wii on was the smart long-term move, because it lets them make more games that still look good enough to be okay. The current AAA obsession isn’t really shooters, though. That’s an old 7th gen stereotype, and besides, Nintendo has series with shooting too. AAA companies today care more about the live service structure than the type of gameplay involved.
@@thatdanjamesguy.330 Now? We started hitting diminishing returns back in the PS3 days. MGS4 _still_ looks better than some games releasing now and it would be a cakewalk to touch it up even more for the people who drool over muh grafixx.

I'm fairly confident in saying that Echoes of Wisdom is in fact a pretty big deal considering it's been nearly 11 years since the last new top-down/2D Zelda game. Of course, I'm not one of those Zelda fans who were necessarily yearning for a new top-down Zelda game as I appreciate both the 2D/top-down and 3D styles equally for the most part. But the fact that it's been almost 11 years since the release of A Link Between Worlds shows that the release of Echoes of Wisdom is a big deal in my opinion. And knowing that we get to play as Zelda is also of great significance as well.
@@klemo5I think that’s why he said new, he doesn’t count the remake since it’s a remake of a older game. This will be a brand new story in the old style of Zelda which after a decade long drought is pretty big
I can't help but feel that Xbox and Sony would love one of Nintendo "slower" years for themselves, because even Nintendo's slower years have still been fantastic.
Seeing the Yokai Watch 3 reference at 3:23 was truly heartwarming, thank you so much for putting it in. I love that series so much and its criminslly underrated in the west. Inazuma 11 is the same, they're such amazing 3ds games so I wish they got more love

This is honestly my biggest reason for thinking the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible, if it wasn't it would makes loads more sense to save some of these games to stuff the Switch 2 lineup, but if it's already backwards compatible then these games are already stuffing the Switch lineup
Putting handheld and home console game development together helped them immensely. They just continued to do those hanheld games but with more quality. Echoes of Wisdom and Mario and Luigi are definitely from that category.
When people say “Wahhh, where’s Switch 2?!” It’s like… yeah, I get it. I’m excited for it too, but… Dude, go play the infinite good games you already haven’t played on Switch 1.
Im sso behind on my Switch backlog. And that doesn't consider my MASSIVE Steam backlog at all. Can the industry just take a year off or something so I can catch up?
I'm still waiting for my copy of Breath of the Wild and I haven't finished other 3 games I'm playing right now. All the games I have played on the Switch have been really good so far
Even during the 3DS and Wii era I don't think Nintendo was really slowing down. Kirby and Zelda on Wii were huge. Metroid, Fire Emblem, Mario and Luigi, WarioWare, Luigi's Mansion, and Ever Oasis were also big deals on 3DS.
My backlog can last me a full decade. Could you imagine if past consoles had this many must play games? N64, GameCube, Wii, & Wii U never could have prepared us for everything on the Switch. We would probably still be playing Wii if all Nintendo Consoles had this much content.

It really does so much for my trust in the next system to know that Nintendo has this kind of variety and quantity in their release schedule. They're not going to do what the other big companies are doing and go hard after the big monetization strategies that are working for Epic and literally nobody else when they could make some of the money on a niche visual novel series.
Sony has been doing the exact opposite of the conventional console launch strategy. A couple of exclusives near the launch, a long dry spell and then a flurry of games near the end. Happened with the ps3/4 and seems to be happening again.
Ngl PS5 is the weakest console Sony as launched, played PSP vita, PS2 and PS3 and currently with PS4, I see no reason to upgrade to PS5, it may have nice graphics and bigger FPS, but has no exclusives worth having (Unless it's demon souls) and it's already almost 5 years old and still very expensive. They are going to launch a 2 exclusives like Silent hill 2.
@@XParasiteOctoling Yeah but PS5 already old. Even if they put more stuff on the PS5 it simply won't be enough. Hell I just knew there was a PS5 because it showed up on my feed some stuff talking about it. And it's been years since launch
Nah, Microsoft would hook them into spending huge amounts of money for no reason. In Super Mario Xboxssey 2, you won’t capture enemies, instead you’ll pay them 69 billion coins to work for you
Excellent analogy with the buffet thing at the end. I've definitely got too many games to play on the Switch. I've got a backlog of what I want to play with more piling up. I hope the Switch 2 is backwards compatible so I can just switch (pun intended) over without losing any of the games that I haven't gotten to yet. Nintendo's execution for the Switch is an A+.

11:20 youre making it sound like Prime 4 cant be a dual release and I have noticed a lot of youtubers mentioning something along those lines, but: Only because Prime 4 is and will be a Switch title doesnt exclude it from being a switch 2 title as well. Metroid has always, always always suffered from being released too late into the respective consoles lifetime and I doubt Nintendo would want make that same mistake here again

Is it because Nintendo doesn't push for the newest and greatest in graphics and power? And let's be real, not every game is for everyone. Nintendo has always known this, and they consistently cast an incredibly large net, with consistently good games.
Nintendo sure has its flaws, but its will to keep making single-player games without marketing BS ruining game design is why I buy their stock and not Sony or Microsoft. They're so uninvolved in the collapse of modern gaming, they still have community as a brand.
Arlo this makes me feel so much better about my backlog, I have so many switch games that I have even touched yet, let alone BOUGHT yet that I just haven’t had time for, and yet Nintendo just keeps them coming and coming and I feel like I’ll never have time to work through all of them
I feel like the reason all of Nintendos recent games in their franchises seem to appeal to broader audiences, is because many of their new developers are from a younger generation that's generally is more in-tune with social media and demographic sentiments. We all love guys Like Miyamoto, but some of the older generation can get caught up in their own creative bubbles, but the newer generation of devs are able to pull from NUMEROUS sources of creativity, and they can get an idea for the kind of games more people like to play!
What a load of baseless drivel. Like, sorry, but where does that come from? Trying to appeal to a broad audience has been a thing for Nintendo for decades now.
I wouldn’t care if instead of announcing a switch 2, Nintendo announced it was working on anthology of its existing games and a new HBO series based on Ocarina of Time.

They really should reduce the prices of games too. 7 years old games cost the same as a game from this year, Mario Odyssey(50) is much more expensive compared to Elden ring(40 not including the DLC) and much more other examples like upcoming games, hope with the switch 2 coming they will finally reduce the prices of games.
The thing that makes all of this make sense is if the next console is backwards compatible. Then you don't have to worry about saving games for the next console. The previous console's catalog becomes the new console's catalog.
@@jotta-aran I had previously seen it acronymed to TYD, so wasn’t sure it was the same game (though I did suspect). As for googling it, acronyms can be touch and go on googling. Nintendo doesn’t have any competitors in the handheld space because they were overwhelming the best. Combining their perfect hand held gaming reputation with a home console is an absolute perfect formula for Nintendo. Winding down the system means we are making hand held style games going forward
I'm about 90% certain that the transition between the Switch and the Switch 2 will be similar to the transition between the DS and the 3DS. You can still play any DS game on a 3DS system, I think they even might have shared the same eshop to an extent. In the same way, I expect the Switch 2 to be completely compatible with the entire existing Switch library. What most of us want from the Switch 2 isn't a whole new system that starts from scratch, but rather a newer system that's able to handle more graphically intense titles. Nintendo fans just want a better Switch, so there's no reason not to have this better version of the Switch port everything over from its predecessor. That means that all Switch games being released right now are, for all intents and purposes, Switch 2 titles. Announcing it as a Switch title doesn't take away from that in any way.
"able to handle more graphically intense titles." I'd rather be able to turn the graphics _down_ to make the games run better, thank you very much, and that applies to _every single console in existence._ It's why I favour the PC for budget gaming. Got a potato from 2014 that runs everything I give a damn about.
@@CoralCopperHead I mean, a game system that can handle better graphics can easily handle worse graphics, so I'd imagine a better system could just support more games overall \/('_')\/
DS didn't have an eshop that wasn't until DSi & part of what replaced the GBA Slot. I don't think we need the Switch Successor any time soon though besides we're close to breaking the PS2 Record.
I'm wondering if all this output is an indication that the next system will be backwards compatible. like, if it isnt going to be, it'd make more sense to slow down to give people a chance to polish off their backlog and get prepared for moving on, but to me this pace feels like them saying "hey even if you dont finish everything you want now, dont worry cos you can keep going on switch 2!" thats just a theory though
@@brandonhowell5096 I could see it being a DS to 3DS change, it's the same thing but new gimmick + even better, if it was a lil upgrade it would be a huge disappointment
So many people talk about console cycles, wondering when Nintendo will "join everyone else," but... why move on? Nintendo has been pretty clear that they want to stick with the Switch, (resulting in a long, slow painful & torturous death for the 3DS, who is barely clinging to life now,) for however long they can, and in a way, why fix what isn't broken? It's selling well, still has great prospects, and it's concept is just as wonderful, if not BETTER since the Steam Deck is turning more people onto this kind of handheld console gaming. Personally, I love my Switch. I miss the way Nintendo designed their products, menus and systems, and the way they talked to consumers; the way Iwata talked to us, and the events and Directs personality and personability. We've almost completely lost Miis, gone are the atmospheric menus, no more Miiverse except in Splatoon's case kinda, and person to person conversation from designers, creatives, and executives is rarely pulled out. Do we need a new Switch? Not really, but I do see how it could be improved, closer to what we all grew up with, the Streetpass walking, Link-Cable connecting, full-size GameCube controller partying, Wii Remote swinging, weirdly intuitive GamePad-using Nintendo gamers. Those roots are what makes Nintendo so special, and a path to those things still exists, within a new, upgraded but with the same core, Nintendo Switch. Oh yeah, and fixing Joy-Con Drift, upgrading the screen and battery are more then crucial problems. Those are more pressing, actually. Thanks for reading! Power to you all, Players! Nintendo POWER!
"It's selling well, still has great prospects, and it's concept is just as wonderful, if not BETTER since the Steam Deck is turning more people onto this kind of handheld console gaming." I'd say it's the other way around - the Switch opened the door for the Steam Deck. While I love the Steam Deck and have one of my own: The Switch came first, and its sales completely dwarf the Steam Deck. The early years of the Switch had a lot of good third party titles, even "impossible ports" that showed that portable systems could handle more demanding titles. When the Steam Deck came out, I think the success of the Switch cast a favorable light on the idea of being able to play big budget titles on portable systems and people were open to the idea. Now we live in a world where we have a good choice of powerful and portable gaming systems, and I look forward to seeing where the idea goes in the future.
100%. In my mind, the console competitors are Nintendo and Valve now. Steam Deck is a far better value than anything Sony or Microsoft are selling, even if Valve’s lack of marketing means it will never overtake either’s sales.

@@CoralCopperHead What? You seem to like to gripe. If you don't like it, don't get it. There's plenty of systems out there.
@@VitalVampyrSony and Microsoft are not primarily game companies and Nintendo is and it shows
The fanbase: "It's time for the Switch to retire. Cast it into the fire!"
Nintendo: "No."
Nope. The switch is the best & they need to keep it up
“Give it fire? You got it!” *nintendo floors it*
Since when did the fanbase want that? The Switch is amazingly designed and honestly I hope the Switch 2 is just that: an upgraded switch with the same foundation but with better specs and maybe a few extra little things.
@@maggiered7284Nah it's time to move on from a system that can't run staple 30 frames on some games.
"Nintendo!!!!"
Real talk though, I personally don't mind.
Nintendo going this hard at the end of the Switch’s life makes me think the next console is backwards compatible.
Would be super nice if thats the case
Either they'll have backwards compatibility and have the next console games only for the switch 2 or something. So that way the new console transitions nicely, while have the players still be able to play the games they have on the previous console, with better graphics, fps, and powerful console. While the chance to play new games meant for the new switch 2. Kinda genius
That'd be great!
It haaaaas to be. It would completely baffle me if it isn't.
To be fair, Nintendo is able to do this by holding onto completed games for YEARS sometimes. They allowed themselves a small backlog to release things in between the actual releases
Exactly
What a weird comment.
Why so that “to be fair”? What makes anyone else unable to do the same thing?
Nintendo having better project management than other publishers doesn’t mean they are “cheating”. They just run their business better, often weathering heavy criticism for doing “the wrong thing “ only for people to later come around and realize it was the right thing.
Lol interesting take.
The Switch era will be looked upon as the second golden age of Nintendo, no doubt
The second golden age of Nintendo was the Wii.
But undoubtedly the Switch will be remebered as the 3rd
@@Falanwe I don't think the Wii had the same staying power as the Switch, and certainly didn't have the same amount of quality games or positive reputation. The Wii was a high point, but not a golden age. Compare it to the SNES and Switch and you can see the difference. The Wii is not bad, it is certainly beloved and had great games for sure. But it wasn't quite a golden era.

I get the urge to want the next best thing, but I kind of respect Nintendo for keeping their hardware middle of the road as well as supporting it for a long time. In the era of a phone release every year with a mid-year refresh, it's nice to see a company hang on to their stuff and support it long after another company would
Nintendo: "We are proud to announce that we will be revealing our next system in mid 2025."

Nintendo: "Of course, of course.
Yeah the 3DS was something special and it sold like 80 million- not a super success but nothing to scoff an install base on either
@@Matanumi80 mi is a super success tho. 3ds only had a rough start

This isn't even the final form because they are still evolving

You have to remember that Nintendo do not have remakes of basically undiscovered Wii U games as they did with the early years of the switch for the next gen console.
@@shadowside8433 True, but conversely, the handheld and home dev teams are in full synchronization now. When Switch started, there were still new 3DS games being developed and released. Also, and this is a claim I make with no hard evidence, but I do think Nintendo will do Deluxe versions of Switch games on Switch 2. I made a video about it so… shameless self-promo!!

@@Yoshizuyunerquestionable, how positively they look at the gamecube games. It wasn't such good times for Devs during this time period.

@@kj_H65f Its more about getting a vibe for new games in the first couple of years.

Nintendo: haha what if we made peach a chef :)
So true.
They care so much about the realistic graphics while Nintendo sits on top making bank off goofy little guys and a couple more serious guys.

@@Matanumi Arlo posted a video a while back about how Nintendo is over producing switch 2’s in anticipation of a surplus of demand. There won’t be any shortages of large magnitude prob.
I may have to pass on Switch 2, I still have enough Switch 1 games to keep me busy until 2034.
"POCKET SAND!" - Famous Anime, Attack on Hill
Arlo's Analogy of Nintendo's Output as a "Dinner" makes me think of Christmas Dinner at my Grandma's!
She's Italian, so, Naturally, she would make So Much Food it would be considered "Too Much" for an Entire NFL Football Team!
And SOMEHOW many people, even Switch fans, think that the console is already dead. And that is just one of the biggest mysteries of the world
Just imagine we are in for like: Mario Kart 9, new 3D Mario, new smash, new animal crossing, new pokemon, new xenoblade, new monster hunters and whatever else nintendo has cooking in that kitchen
Recently did an inventory of all the games I own. Almost a third of them were for Switch, and I've been buying since the NES.
I never see anyone talking about the probability that next year we will see the reveal and release of the most ground braking, immense and insane 3D Mario ever made.
Sunshine 2 let’s go
Lmao!! Pocket Sand!!! 😂😂 Good one!
Gotta love Rusty Shackleford
I've been waiting for literal years for Arlo to start a show with "Pocket sand!"
I wonder how many switch games they’re just sitting on right now
The Nintendo dragon finally fell asleep and they are picking what they can from the hoard.
Allegedly they're sitting on at least Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD, Prime 2 Remastered, and Prime 3 Remastered...
Really wish we could get those other Prime remasters before Prime 4 comes out...
@@mjc0961 dude it's not gonna happen just get them on Wii U, even if it does come out the map will still make the Wii U version best
they are apparently sitting on a fire emblem remake
Too many. They should just release them already.
11:20 youre making it sound like Prime 4 cant be a dual release and I have noticed a lot of youtubers mentioning something along those lines, but: Only because Prime 4 is and will be a Switch title doesnt exclude it from being a switch 2 title as well. Metroid has always, always always suffered from being released too late into the respective consoles lifetime and I doubt Nintendo would want make that same mistake here again
a new 3D zelda, new 2D zelda, new 2D mario, new pikmin, new mario and luigi, new metroid prime, and a trillion ports/remasters, past 2 years are just the calm before the storm of what nintendo has secretly been working on for next gen 😰
It's almost like planning ahead and not trend chasing is a solid business plan...
Every now and then I remember the fact that we're watching a puppet
he wasn't lying, just a little while and another video, great
Don’t stop Nintendo!
Keep going, they are doing great in the Modern Gaming compared to god Damn Activision, Capcom & Blizzard Entertainment.
how does capcom fit into this?
@@Retro_Rainer they made a terrible game about time travel, realistic and Dinossours, but It's not Dino crises and Mega Man is in the game, but looks like a mod 🤔
@@Rukia1990 Exoprimal is good in my opinion, I did get bored as the updates were okay but not enough to entertains me though.
But I’d rather play it over the Goddamn current state of COD, I’ve never played COD & I don’t want to as it’s making Activision eating itself alive.
@@Rukia1990 oh, they released A, as in 1, bad game? how dare they... worst developer ever. they should shut down right away. who do they think they are?
Just replace Capcom with Ubisoft or Bethesda
I love how he's squishing the stress ball.
Best Thumbnail in a while... lmaooo the gluttony of great games.
It's crazy how a system that's so old is getting so many games still. I can't finish them all.
Is it because Nintendo doesn't push for the newest and greatest in graphics and power?
And let's be real, not every game is for everyone. Nintendo has always known this, and they consistently cast an incredibly large net, with consistently good games.
I would still absolutely watch Arlo reviews for all of the games from last year mentioned
Great games at a fast pace? Blessing and a curse but more blessings to pick your favorites
I appreciate your well enough to bring out the blue monster on the video. 10 more years of Arlo TH-cam.
I'd like to thank Nintendo for being the king of 1st party games and making them for my OLED Switch since I first bought it in 2021.... love some of their others too 😁

As a representative of the arlo fandom you can upload a review no matter how long ago a game came out
I can't unsee the cute Metroid appearing as showing it's teeth due to the light reflections in the right place 😂
I love how it looks like you're reading off the switch😂😂😂
6:22 not Concord
The thing that makes all of this make sense is if the next console is backwards compatible. Then you don't have to worry about saving games for the next console. The previous console's catalog becomes the new console's catalog.
Arlo should still review TTYD even if the ship has sailed by now. Arlo is basically THE TTYD guy!
What is TTYD? I’m not familiar with that acronym.
@@thatonepossum5766The Thousand-Year Door.
I don't mean to be rude (except, I totally am) but couldn't you google that?
@@jotta-aran I had previously seen it acronymed to TYD, so wasn’t sure it was the same game (though I did suspect). As for googling it, acronyms can be touch and go on googling. Could’ve come up with something, but I figured it would be easier to just ask. And if the person wasn’t interested in answering, they didn’t have to. 🤷♀️
It stands for Talk To Your Dad. Arlo should review that experience
I will forever live for Arlo's food analogies like at 13:44
Sony fans out here dying of thirst while Nintendo fans absolutely drowning in new games to play constantly.
"able to handle more graphically intense titles."
I'd rather be able to turn the graphics _down_ to make the games run better, thank you very much, and that applies to _every single console in existence._ It's why I favour the PC for budget gaming.
@@1tylerq127 And yet the PS5 can't run PS1 disks.
@@CoralCopperHead of course not, that was 4 generations of console ago.
I often can't believe how lucky we are with the Nintendo's output in games during the Switch. It seriously never ceases to amaze me!
I'm wondering if all this output is an indication that the next system will be backwards compatible. like, if it isnt going to be, it'd make more sense to slow down to give people a chance to polish off their backlog and get prepared for moving on, but to me this pace feels like them saying "hey even if you dont finish everything you want now, dont worry cos you can keep going on switch 2!"
thats just a theory though
I honestly don't see why it wouldn't be backwards compatible because honestly I doubt hardware will be upgraded all that much in the switch 2
@@brandonhowell5096 I could see it being a DS to 3DS change, it's the same thing but new gimmick + even better, if it was a lil upgrade it would be a huge disappointment
Could you imagine if even after the new Nintendo console comes out they'll keep making games for the switch
I can’t wait to watch the new arlo- AAAAAH MY EYES ARLO WHY?!?
I'm finally going through my backlog, but I am getting cassette beasts physical tomorrow so the collection keeps growing
Pocket sand? AH- MY EYES
Just loving the discussion topics you've been uploading recently, Arlo. Thanks!
"It's selling well, still has great prospects, and it's concept is just as wonderful, if not BETTER since the Steam Deck is turning more people onto this kind of handheld console gaming."
I'd say it's the other way around - the Switch opened the door for the Steam Deck.
@@logicalfundy I too, enjoy plunging seven hundred dollars (more, after taxes and shipping) for a terrible pre-bult Linux machine with an overpriced screen smashed onto it.
@@thatdanjamesguy.330 Steam Deck is worthless next to a properly built PC -- which Valve's garbage storefront already runs on. Why pay more for a crappier version of something else?
@@CoralCopperHead What? You seem to like to gripe. If you don't like it, don't get it. There's plenty of systems out there.
I got the Steam Deck when it was new and at the time it had decent specs for a mobile system. It's a bit underpowered now, but the games I play hasn't changed too much so I don't mind.
I have a properly built PC too that I can play at home; it's a lot more powerful than the Steam Deck. But I can't take my PC to another room or with me when I'm outside the house.
