It depends on the country. Here in Netherlands there are 3 exams (1st theoretical, 2nd by the school in a parking lot with cones and the 3rd one on the street/highway) so if you manage to pass all of them and have the license, there should not be a problem for you to use it on the street after. Of course that you shouldn't try crossing towns/countries in the 1st week.
Europe is smart for allowing such rules. Here in America, you can buy a 217hp RSV4 with a permit and do anything you want. America is all about $$$.. stupid.
Totally agree with this.. I went out on my bike and stalled it twice on a busy junction. If I had practiced that probably wouldn’t have happened. Now I always go to a car park and practice for 5 mins before any journey.

Hey man, I’m all the way from Scotland and I’ve been looking for a video like this for ages and just couldn’t find the right one, until I stumbled across your series of episodes. I’m 19 and I’ve been obsessed with cars and motorcycles my whole life and I’ve been driving cars since I was the legal age (went for my car license first as it was the most practical with work and stuff) and now I’m ready to try out the two wheelers, and I just wanted to say thank you so much for these informative masterpieces! Your content is majorly helping me out man, it’s making stuff so much easier and I think I might be out on the road as soon as next week on my new 2 wheels! Thanks so much man 😁🏴

I've been riding for 30 plus years and a couple of tips that were taught to me when I was learning. Never go faster than what feels comfortable. If you have to think whether you can make a manoeuvre then don't do it, never feel pressured by other road users and filter only 5 mph faster than the traffic you are passing. You will build up on experience and start to relax when riding.

I’m considering a motorcycle. I’ve had a “scooter,” non-clutch, but for now I am riding an e-bicycle. All the things you stated about awareness, apply for all cycles. I’m sure the shifting/braking will become second nature with time, but man it’s kind of scary riding a heavy motorcycle, with all four appendages coordinating. Ha! I did learn how to drive a stick shift car, so I am hoping the same principles might help.
Hey man. Recently came across your channel, im 25 years old from Norway and i dream to ride a motorcycle. Your videos are really helpful and easy to understand and to settle down the nerves. I've never rode a bike before, i bought a moped type bike a day ago Yamaha tzr, you probably know it looks like a motorcycle but its essentially a MC skin in a moped. Just to start practicing the basics because im scared. My plan is to try it a bit first and then take a course and get a lisense for normal motorcycle. Don’t do what I did. I started by taking a g310r for a test ride. Did a few laps around the parking lot, felt good and took it for a ride on the street for about an hour. Everything kinda just fell into place and felt right for me, as if my body already knew what to do. I say don’t do what I did because I understand it takes more learning and effort for most other people. Just wanted to share my own experience. Dropped my bike a few times (mostly taking turns too wide and slow), learned from it, and here we are

Slow speed stuff is alot harder than faster stuff....until you get the balance down....practice slow stuff first.....if you rode dirt bikes b4 not as critical but street is still different....if never ever rode a motorcycle yeah for sure park your butt in parking lots for awhile
I hate, absolutely hate, the advice to turn your head and look where you want to turn. That's great advice for an expert and horrible advice for a beginner. My instructor kept telling me to do that and when I finally did it far enough to satisfy him I dropped the bike and fell. Looking where you want to turn requires a person to already have internalized riding a motorcycle. The bike has to be an extension of oneself before you can do that. Riding has to be automatic before you can turn your attention away towards something else. I didn't even realize I was falling until after passing 45 degrees from the ground because my gaze wasn't level with the horizon. It's as ridiculous as telling someone who is trying to learn how to type, "Don't look at the keyboard! Look at the screen!" Great advice for experts. It's not gonna work if you've never typed before.
Only reason bike dropped is because you were riding too slow. No one drops a bike going faster than 10-15 mph. I do admit though.. MOST instructors suck.. he should have observed your speed (I could be wrong but this is my hypothesis)

Thanks in advance.
@PetroHead - What spefic Triumph bike are you riding in this parking lot tutorial?
Street triple RS
💌 Awesome 💯👍👍👍. Very Good Teacher 👍👍👍. Heartfelt thanks 🥤🍫🍿🍟🌮.
What kind of triumph is your bike?
It’s a triumph Multistrada lol.. Striple RS
I know that feeling…left side turns like a pro, right turns feel like a noob 😂
Its the brain bro... same reason why we're stronger on left / right arm vs the other.
Same thing here, left side turns come natural!
Whoa my left turns are better than my right turns too
Were you doing donuts in that parking lot before making this video?
Nah donuts make you fat
ending my first week... still feeling nervous
Slow speed stuff is alot harder than faster stuff....until you get the balance down....practice slow stuff first.....if you rode dirt bikes b4 not as critical but street is still different....if never ever rode a motorcycle yeah for sure park your butt in parking lots for awhile
All the burn out marks 😂
🤝
Before all of these, how to go to the parking lot? 😂
Rent a truck or install a hitch and get a U-Haul moto trailer for $16 for the day (in the U.S.)
Hey man! Great video! When doing small turns at a lower speed (eg 1st to max 2nd gear) do you play with the clutch too?
