Solidus has en eyepatch on his left eye. So it's easier to aproach him from the left. You could use the enemy uniform to disguise your footprints. Enemies' bodies go stiff after a while and you can't interact with them anymore. Damn, I never knew of these! Also, this game has a lot mechanics for the time!
Love the relaxing rain sounds in the background of the tanker Codec calls 😁 you should upload all the codec calls with the background noises of the whole game lol
There's a good handful of these I haven't heard, and as always hearing the voice change around the 21:53 mark always throws me for a loop. Makes me smirk at the ending. It might be wishful thinking, but I'd like to think the voice oddness was deliberate, hiding the hints right below the players noses...

Item boxes never dropped for me when I shot dudes without them seeing me. Sounds like its a call in reference to an mgs1 mechanic they forgot to remove.
Late but no the original MGS1 didn't have any drops but in MGS 2 3 and Twin Snakes if you perform a hold up, and then aim your gun at the enemy's front they will get scared and drop an item, this is how you get Dog Tags in 2 and Twin Snakes. But when an enemy is asleep, unconscious, or dead, if you pick up their body and set it back down they will drop an item. If you move them the chances of them dropping an item are higher
twenty years ago when I played mgs2 for the first time Otacon was pretty annoying. telling me to push the action button as if I'm some virtual grunt of the digital age. I completed 300 missions in VR. and also completed MGS1. I know how and when to push the action button........
My advice: Take care of the box and it'll take care of you.

On Xbox HD, Otacons VA also had to re-record the aim controls. He’s noticeably older and has to say RT and LT

I think they added extra dialogue for the remaster and couldn't bring back Paul Eiding to do them.
They had to re-do some gameplay instructions when they released the HD collection.
