  • Sometimes the answer to creating a spiritual practice don't lie in more rituals, practices, or "things," but in the everyday world. Because that's where we live anyway. So here are some mundane tips for a powerful practice.

The last minute and a half "our practice is meant to be something that takes us down this spiritual path ... if it's not changing then we're on a treadmill not a path" was gold.
Enjoyed the whole video; saved to rewatch 🍀

I have several small 'altars' throughout my home because I don't have space for a large altar. Also, my long hallway (from my office to the open living/dining/kitchen space) has spiritual decor along the walls. I consider my hallway walls as an 'altar' as an altar doesn't always need to be on a table. My garden (and gardening) is my spiritual oasis.
I do put my cell phone on my nightstand, next to my bed, as I often play calming zen music as I go to sleep and through the night. But realize I have tucked away my prayer beads, so you gave me the inspiration to place them on one my altars, to help me remember to wear and use them throughout the day, as I find prayer beads to be very calming.

My teacher for my Reiki Master/Teacher certification said, "Don't should on yourself," and I don't anymore, nor do I allow anyone else to should on me. I love your Lego analogy! I used to have what I called "my hour of power" in the mornings, but since moving I've had to break my spiritual practice into smaller bites spread out to different parts of my day. Like you, I have altar spaces throughout my house, especially on my desk where I do my meditation and card draws since I don't have another place to meditate until my office space gets created when we renovate the back porch into it. I keep all of my other tools handy too. I love keeping your Moon water right there, along with a plant to pour the old out into so you can refill it easily! Nice, I'm taking that one away from this video! I loved these tips, this was an awesome video! Love, Light and Blessings. 💛💚

GREAT video!! Finally, someone who talks about spiritual practices from a mom's perspective. I have a toddler, too. This is the kind of content I'm looking for. Everything changes in my routine all the time, but it's still possible to be consistent if you find what works for you. Your tips are brilliant. Thank you!!

This is a WONDERFUL video! Not only am I a stay at home mom to a 3 year old at the beginning of her journey, but we have also been in a state of limbo in our living situation for almost 2 years. And my mom passed away about 2 months ago - so my focus has been on her (and everything that has happened since - so about 4 months at this point) and obviously my son. She lived in another state and my husband had to stay where we live because he has to work.
All that to say, starting to figure out what I want my spiritual path to be and starting out on it got put on hold, so your tips on how to integrate it in small ways throughout the day is a huge help. Nothing feels settled right now and finding a place for things doesn't feel possible. So other small ways to include my spiritual practice in my daily life is not only helpful in a practical sense, but also because it makes me feel like I can actually do it and that it doesn't have to keep getting put off until things feel more secure. So thank you for the encouragement and sense of confidence.

I love all the examples you give. They’re practical and relatable! Thank you so much. Lately it has been extremely challenging for me to balance and integrate my spiritual practice into my daily life. I’m a mother to a rambunctious toddler so it can feel overwhelming trying to balance everything all at once!

Throwing things out and see what sticks, is my method. Sadly doesn't work often.

WOW so much wisdom. Thank you ! I am new to your channel and also to developing practices.. and I have a question about what is a "water offering" and what is "moon water?" I am sorry if they are perhaps obvious to most ...I truly just want to learn. Thank you so much!

Many people like to make offerings to deities, spirits, ancestors etc, and water is a really common one to use. And it is a traditional offering for Green Tara.
Moon water is just water that was left out under a specific phase of the moon to charge. Mine was left under the full moon.
So using moon water as the offering is just what I like to do :)
