Sooo timely, I’ve been trying to reevaluate my relationship with the “empress” aspects of my femininity this winter. It’s been fascinating. What you said about there being a tendency to want to really dig in to the darker feminine over the light really resonates. I grew up evangelical. once I left, I felt so strongly that I needed to separate myself from those beliefs. Lilith felt like a rebellion, lol. You’re so right though, it’s not Lilith or Eve, it’s both. Would love to hear more from you on this!

Lilith does feel like a rebellion for a lot of us, LOL, and there's nothing wrong with that; I love Lilith- As long as we're not using Lilith to avoid the rest of it 😂❤

Yesssssss 🙌 you speak so eloquently on this topic. I agree with all of it. Through working with Lilith, the Eve wound absolutely came up for me and it's been such a long and painful process being able to integrate them. Still doing it 😂 but also always experiencing that in everyday life where u witness women needing to comfort or please a displeased man in the room, or even still feeling that compulsion to do the same. It's insidious for sure. I loved the way you reflected on the Empress with this. And the card 🤩 I'm sorry if you said what deck it is and I missed it 😂 but if not please could u tell us the name of the deck? soooo pretty - like a watercolour version of the smith-white ❤ Xxx

Thank you! It really is insidious; I still find myself making myself responsible for my husband's mood when he's having a bad day that has literally nothing to do with me; I'm working on it, LOL - like he's allowed to have a bad day, and it not have anything to do with me.
That's the Modern Hue Tarot. I had to record this video a second time thanks to audio issues, and I mentioned the deck the first time, but must not have the second time LOL

Is people pleasing and a lack of boundries not a result of growing up in and emotional unhealthy /unstable situation? Like growing up under a narcissistic parent??
Where you learn from your youngest age that you do not have the right of boundaries or needs.
I always have learned from professional therapy and psycho spiritual guidance, that people pleasing is a coping mechanism you learned yourself as a child to cope with the lack of attention and love.
Or even, to keep the situation as safe as possible. In those sort if situation, personal boundaries are irrelevant.
You will make yourself as small as possible if your have to. Everything to keep yourself as safe as possible.
Your start crawling in all unhealthy directions without boundaries to get a little bit attention, approval or accaptence. You dont have to expect love, but maybe a little exeptance for your existence.
That is also a situation where you stop listening to your inner voice, your intuition. Cause it is simply not safe to do so. You have to be the better adult to keep the peace. You always have to think everything 10 times through before you can act and do whatever it takes.

1000% that can be one reason people develop people please and lack of boundaries. We always learn to do what is most likely to keep us safe, and so often people pleasing is one of those things. And when we talk about shadow work I always think that's an important point - these behaviors or reactions or patterns - they're just an attempt to keep us safe.
However, we also see people pleasing and lack of boundaries in people (especially people socialized as women) who have not lived through any big T trauma in their lives. We're so conditioned to keep the people around us happy, to not rock the boat, to cater to everyone else before ourselves.
It's also been a matter of safety for the last few thousand years, where if the men around us weren't happy, they were unsafe, and if a husband wasn't happy enough with his wife and he kicked her out, she couldn't have money or property. So most women's bodies also remember this wounding and this need to have the people around us be happy (especially men) in order for us to feel safe.
So yes, I would also agree with everything you describe. But we also see it as something society still just conditions women to be, even outside of specific types of trauma. If that makes sense.

@themysticinthewoods oh, I get your point of view now. The same behavior without that certain type of trauma. I didn't know that. When reading your comment I started thinking about the godesses book, and run with wolves book, as you mentioned that book earlier. Maybe those books could shine a light on certain types of women's behavior without the trauma. I wish I had more space and concentration to read more books all at once. 🤭

@@Eve.N1782 I am in the middle of about a dozen books, and I wouldn’t say it’s working very well LOL but the best book to understand the conditioning would be “On Our Best Behavior” by Elise Loehnen - it’s so well written, it’s easy to read, and it’s full of fantastic information

@@themysticinthewoods yes!!! I saw different recommendations from you about that!! I hope the book will be translated. I was watching something recently,.... I think it was a review of the mary Magdalene Oracle that was also about 7...... ? Strengths i believe....? At that moment i was thinking about you mentioning the 7 sin book. 🤭 I am actually reading Medical books at the moment. That also started with a book recommendation of you. The cycle book, i think it was something with flow. I choose another cycle book, but it does made some things quite clear about my health problems. And figurely Speaking.... the ball rolls over to the vagus nerve side. About the polyvagal theory, how trauma can be physically trapped in your body. Maybe i can find an explanation there why my gut healing diet is going terrible slow. And ofcourse, what to do about it. 😅 The book will arrive tomorrow. 🤭

My name is Eva, my life number is three, so my birth card is Empress. And right now I have tears in my eyes because everything that was said touched me deeply. And at the same time I feel a tremendous relief. Thank you very much for this reflection on the shadowy aspects of the Empress. ❤🙏🏼

One thing that bothers me a lot when reading the Eve story in Genesis is that God gave the commandment to not eat the fruit before He even created Eve……but it’s somehow all her fault !?!?
