Great video and I’ve been enjoying your channel since I found it a few days ago. I’ve been a hawaiian airlines flight attendant for 18 years now and I appreciate you respectfully mentioning the merger/ acquisition between us and Alaska. It’s def a touchy subject but we are all hoping it’s for the best. Looking forward to more informative content from you in the future. Cheers!
Story time with Simon! Love a flight formula nostalgic story. Hats off to Mum for enabling your interest in aviation. Your style is so unique in the flight review you tube space. Kudos to you mate!
As a former AS employee, to this day, I will only fly AS wherever it flies to. The amount of pride we have for the airline and the care journey for customers is unmatched by the top 4. If I could go back, I would do it in a heartbeat. And I can confirm…no one knows for sure who the native Eskimo on the tail really is. It’s one big speculation!
I’ve flown to Seattle from Southern California countless times and getting an an Alaska Airlines flight is always my favorite. One time I flew on United from Palm Springs to LAX to Seattle, and that itinerary was hilarious. Flying to LAX from Palm Springs was such a funny flight and it felt so pointless. Of course I booked that flight on purpose
Thanks for covering my hometown carrier! Fun watch as usual :) Side note- your logo research is sound (and I agree with your image comparison) but we’ve always referred to the guy in the back as ‘Chester’.
Reminds me of when I was a kid I convinced my parents to buy US Airways miles when they had 100% bonus. The three of us went to Greece in Business on LH for around 2.5K total at the time if I remember correctly. Lifemiles used to be the sweet spot in buying miles for flights, however they sadly revalued. Gone is the 16.5K JFK-GVA on Swiss. Keep on the videos! Also, supposedly PVD airport has the best US Airport bathroom. Didn't know HNLs were good as well.
The tangents are what made this review something special, setting it apart from the slew of other flight reviews on here, which tbh are pretty boring to watch nowadays as usually a whinge fest. This channel however is Entertaining, educational, informative, technically fluent. Underated, Subbed.
I have a soft spot for Alaska Airlines too. I have never flown them, as I am based in FRA. But I have the highest status in their Mileage Plan (MVP Gold 100K) which is equivalent to Emerald. I gained status mostly on flights with Condor. You should check out the Condor Business class, as it is one of my favs
This was fun. Alaska is a pretty good airline now, but back in the 1990s they had one of the worst and most terrifying crashes off the coast of California in one of their MD80s. Poor maintenance was the culprit. You should do a trip to Alaska. The airport in Anchorage is one of the busiest and most scenic in the US. As for San Francisco, it's mainly beautiful and not "sketchy." Not as nice as Sydney, but a world nicer than Melbourne!
YESS i kinda love HNL airport. The fact that its part outside is so cool especially when in the international section with wide bodys. i obviously havnt watched the whole video yet but i can already tell its gonna be a great one, informative and great review! plus the memes are on top haha
AS is my airline of choice in the US. Would've loved for you to review their FC product - the service is wonderful. That said, having grown up in HNL, I agree that the airport is a bit dated, but it has a lovely feel about it. Nothing like coming home and smelling the salt air when deplaning. Another great review!
Surprised you didn't visit the AA lounge on arrival at SFO. If you hold Gold status or above on Qantas this is a perk you have when flying AA, Alaskan or another OneWorld airline with an AA lounge. And here's another secret: Qantas Gold status gets you into the AA Flagship lounges which offer better drinks and food than the standard Admirals lounge.
Great Video Interestingly I have unique vibes for different airports too Amsterdam Schiphol makes me feel like I am at the hub of the world Helsinki is my favorite airport, it has a an eerie feel to it like the Northern edge of the world (maybe too much Game of Thrones) I digress….what are your favorite airports?
Old news, Alaska said they will order more planes from Boeing in the future. Boeing just delivered almost 40 max aircrafts to China last month. If you know China then you know they big on safety.
homie was smoking something with the amounts of edits today 😭
genuinely upset that your channel hasn't blown up yet because you deserve it. best flight review on youtube atm, keep at it simon!
Facts
Agree!!
100%

6:51 On Alaska, you can pre-order a meal on their app 1 week before your departure.

A new flight formula video yay
Thought La Paz would be longest for similar reasons to Tibet. Flown in and out there a few times. Cable car to El Alto then short taxi ride

The guy on the back of the tail is apparently Chester Ceveck who is a important man in Alaskan culture

Aww you dont like the pancake machine 😂 such a bizzare staple of my flying experiences with Alaska.
I see an FF vlog and I click like before I watch it. Simple. 😊
Ditto!
Hey, don't diss the pancake machine! I love those things!
The only flight 'reviewer' I'm subbed to, cuz you offer way more! not just a 'reviewer'. Great entertainment, keep it up
I appreciate that! Thanks!
Good yap sesh. Hope SF treated you well. Rough spot these days, even for locals.
Love it! Hello Mum.
i cant wait for next week video

Bro added 100 memes to the video
Nice grey sweatpants 😊😅
Way way way too many inserted clips... it works once but maybe not 15 times. 😁but like your style otherwise!
Not me thinking the face on their planes was Che Guevara
Hey
Gee, only 5 likes in 2 minutes… c’mon Simon 😅
Ah yes, Alaska. I'd fly them if I weren't banned. Oh well, maybe in another decade or so :)
What did you do
@@whaddyareckon9547 Found a glitch in their website, had some fun and the rest is history LOL!
Otherwise good, but not enough memes..
Alaska ABSOLUTELY DOES SERVE MEALS in economy... you simply pre-purchase them on their website. And frankly, they're pretty good!
Cutie.
Are you single?
marriaje me plz
