@@jasonkmvang no, just the weapon they forged, as many salamanders are skilled smiths, but the weapon for the trial needs to be melee (eg a knife, sword, axe or hammer). This trial is based on how vulkan met the emperor, with the two challenging each other to forge a great weapon and kill a large drake, with vulkan winning but the emperor saving his life. After wards they are taught how to make chainswords and bolters ect

Man the Sisters of Battle are epic, they are just regular humans who fight side-by-side with Space Marines and manage to keep up
I hope that when this series is continued, that Sa'kan avenges Not only Sister Danica but the straggling civilians who clearly didn't make it in the end.

I don't play the Board Game at all, but Fell in Love with the 40K Lore.. I don't understand why Gamesworkshop doesn't have an Anime Series. The Universe building is as good as Token on Fantasy.

Same here, Ive never played a game but am facinated with the art and the massive amount of Lore in the universe, none of the groups are good really (apart from the Salamanders) , yet I love finding out more about the characters both good bad and (mostly) ugly. I had no real idea of what was happening in this video, but I still watched it all and loved it.
@@finalcam1740 you should check out the Star Wars Visions series, its a bunch of short stories set in the star wars universe and each of them animated by a different anime studio and in a completely different style (iirc Trigger did two episodes, but in different styles).
some of those styles would definitely fit 40k as well.
or if you look at something like Jin-Roh or other oldschool anime like Memories/メモリーズ or realistic, down-to-earth stuff like Flag.
tl;dr: there are a ton of different "anime" styles, since it literally just means "animation". something would fit warhammer too.
(and on the other hand you got things like Bratz coming from the US)

Actually it wasn't! Trust an American to relate to something I've loved since 1989. Here in England, as you say, we love us some dystopia with a nice heavy helping of dark humour. 2000AD, 40k, we love this stuff. Most fans here understand and enjoy the satirical nature of 40k, that it's poking fun at the Imperium's ideologies and how horrific they are, not trying to make them out to be the good guys.
In 40k, no-one is really good. Oh sure there are inevitably good people, and there are almost certainly small pockets of civilisation that are good, but the factions in general are not and never will be.
And that's how we like it. It should never change because it's how 40k should be, change that and it isn't 40k any more, it's just another sci-fi. Keep the grimdark! Keep the superstition and zealotry! Keep chuckling at the genuinely believable horror of how far humanity can fall and still believe itself to be righteous! It was never made for Veterans.

You probably hang it around your neck and wear it like a badge of honour telling anyone and everyone "You Are a Veteran" my grandfather fought in WW2 And yet he doesn't have to remind everyone he meets he's a Veteran. This would have never been possible when I began my journey in the 40k universe over 34 years ago. The lore has changed over time, but I think it's getting better. This is amazing!
Btw, I would love to see an all Eldar ( I know the name changed ) film. They were always my favorite especially Iyanden. I did watch Exodite and loved seeing Eldar.
Some things are better others are worse, the change has been kinda positive overall but there are still things I prefer from older editions.

Salamanders and sisters of battle going against the necrons made me wonder what would the outcome be if blood angels and imperial fists go against these necrons. That would be epic.

Imperial fists and Kriegsman sound like a wild combo
The Imperial Fists would fortify the fuck out of that city, the Blood Angels would bum rush the Necrons, fall to the Red Thirst and kill everything, civilians and all. The end result would be a new Imperial Fist bastion and a lot of unexplained bloodless bodies.

Necrons are the best faction
The voice acting and animation for Sister Danica managed to make her a more sympathetic and relatable character than anything Marvel has managed to with any of their female characters, beyond Back Widow.
I havent played 40k since 3rd Ed. and never had a desire to play Sisters of Battle but after watching her and heavily relating to her themes of regret and guilt, I'm might have to pick up the paint brush and a fist full of dice again :)

The Sisters Of Battle currently have AN INCREDIBLE range of models and arguably the best Games Workshop has ever made for the Imperial forces.

Yeah, SoB's got a redo in 8th/9th and the range is spectacular. Were it not for my current large Marine Army, I would pick up some Sister's too.

It's nice that someone took the time to collect all of these and piece them together into a movie. Would have been better if they had been in the right order though. I managed to find and download all of the episodes already, so I watched them once. I thought it would be nice to see it all together, but I stopped watching when it got to the first big missing section. Not sure if there was just episodes mission or they were out of order, but there is definitely an issue. It jumps from the Salamander in the crashed ship to his fight alongside the Battle sister, with the family that he was protecting... before showing the episode where he ran into that family and decided to help them and the scenes before that fight where he actually met the sister for the first time.

What I dislike about 40k is the fighters lack of rearming themselves and healing themselves. This is the first episode that I seen a fighter get someone else's weapon and use it.

Anyone have good advice on how to get a friend into WH40K and its lore? Been into it myself for years, close to when it started, but not really sure a good way to ease someone into it without it being overwhelming or confusing with as much as there is now, not just in lore but all its media.

I thought Necrons phased out when their bodies were damaged beyond repair. This is part of their lore since they showed up in that White dwarf all those years ago. This deathmark lets his decapitated head be used for a whatsapp call with Szeras. wouldnt it be more faithful to have a device that allowed him to communicate whilst the body of the deathmark phased out to nothing?

they do phase out to the nearest tomb world still is there to bad to self repair. But it doesn't seem to be instant anymore, and it seems like you can get your recall protocols blocked/ denied by a a high ranking overlord / noble.

My only question is, why does it always have to be the Ultramarines from the 2nd Company, its them being annihilated in the New Edition trailer too, it was them in the Space Marine game, and it will be them too in Space Marine 2, and now a part of their Company are being obliterated in Nephilim Sector. At this point, the entirety of the 2nd Battle Company are probably already replaced by the Reserve Companies.
