I've taken a break from Skyrim modding for a couple years until recently, and I would just like to say there have always been a handful of great/classic mod authors out there who consistently make amazing must have mods and it's actually rather rare for a new author like that to show up. YOU, sir, are an amazing creator and contributor to the Skyrim modding scene! It's awesome that you've even built your own custom collection for everyone to use as well. I think I may even take the time to build/rebuild GTS using Mod Organizer because it's truly awesome. Thank you for all your hard work and I can't wait to see what else you come out with next! :D
My personal tip: Purchase a horse. I know, you normally never do because horses are very pointless in vanilla. But this mod takes longer to complete, and a horse is infinitely more useful for the following reasons. > Pressing H will call your horse to you. > Pressing H while riding your horse will open your horses inventory, allowing you to store loot. > You can increase the speed of your horse and it's stamina by utlising the camping mod skill tree. Congratulations on your modlist Jay! I have been individually downloading your mods for years now. They are integrated into my custom mod list. I have to thank you for this Jay, you made me go back to Skyrim again. I'm new to the Collections thing so I was wondering if installing animation mods like Nemesis and such will break things. I'm kinda worried about it. Anyway, I'm downloading it right now, thank you so much again for all your work, you're amazing!
Hi there. I just downloaded this collection and I must say that, even after only going so far as to reach Whiterun (I did the vanilla story to play the original campaign with new features) it's an incredible mod list. I know it gets asked but I still haven't seen where to get the compass/HUD unlocked in the Camping Skills and I am curious about the Fog of War on the main map. Google searching and checking around, I couldn't find any specific answers about these things other than generic responses of "it's in the camping thing." I'm just wanting to make sure I'm doing things right to make traveling at least somewhat easier in due time. But, yeah, incredible mod list. So many tiny details to really make this feel like a whole new game.
Currently playing this Collection and I love it!!! I would choose a couple of different mods instead of the ones in it, but it's just a personal preference. Anyway, this pack is so well cured that it makes vanilla Skirym feel like Skyrim 2, improving so many aspects of the game. I love role playing and survival games and this pack is the best so far... Why didn't I discovered it before?! To the Modders and Creator of this collection, well done guys, this is amazing!!!
Been playing this modpack since I heard about it (thanks Spiff) and I am loving it! Have only run into a couple of issues. Climbing always causes my character to get stuck. Turning collision off doesn't help, and I usually have to reload a save. Is that because I am in first-person? Also, how many followers can I have? I have four right now, but when I went to five a random follower just kind of disappeared (didn't notice until later and had to reload). Great collection! I'm waiting for Nexus to come back online to update it.
The follower thing is a bit weird in this collection, it seems like you can only have 1 "vanilla" follower but can have quite a few of the added modded followers. I currently have 1 vanilla and 3 modded followers and one just got stuck in a shop and won't come out.
My playthrough of this collection has been amazing so far except for a few bugs here and there. Most notable is lanterns quit working on my character a while back and not sure why. And now Remi is in a shop and won't come out no matter what i say or do. Horse storage and saddle equipping is weird too. It's really pretty stable for the amount of mods though, and its an incredible achievement!
its like a whole new game the actual amount of features and mechanics added through mods and the way it looks makes me want to play skyrim all over again. Never heard of Nexus collections I always just downloaded nexus mods 1 by 1 until it eventually broke the game lmao
I'm coming back to Skyrim and never downloaded a mod collection before. I'm the kind of person who likes to handpick the mods I'll play with. But, considering how much praise your collection is receiving and how I love every mod you made, I'm thinking about downloading it to save time. I have just a small question: can I choose to not install certain mods if I prefer other alternatives (I'm mainly thinking on some cosmetic mods) or will it break the collection? Thanks in advance!
My issue with Lantern is that because I am left handed, I binded the "L" key as the "walk Back" action. I'm stuck repeatedly turning the lantern on and off because I can't unbind the modded hotkey. Same goes for the potion hotkeys, which lie in very inconvenient positions to effectively use
It's tough because convinence is needed, but even I find myself desiring some resource cost. So I comprimise by using a non matinence wearable lanterns mod so I can skyui hotkey it, but only after obtaining it.
You don't have the hotkey access easily, and I struggled to get Kontrol mod to work alongside but I know it will. Easy switching on favorites is the worst part of console on modded pc Skyrim
I installed the collection (took hours btw wow), and it just kept crashing over and over while loading up the main menu, never had a chance to start a new game. Tried disabling a bunch of mods but nothing worked. :/
I was wondering if I could replace the kahjit unarmed animations with jabs too from Comprehensive first person combat overhaul mod is it cool if I just reinstall the mod after I've installed the collection and in the settings choose jabs I've had lots of fun with that mod in the past so I know to some extent how it works since there is an unarmed skill tree I wanted to play a kajhit so that I can get that sweet extra 13 damage but the animations don't look nice with other races the unarmed attacks looks really good tho can I change that without fucking up the entire list's animations and combat related stuff?
I've been discovering alot of these on my own. At first some of them annoyed me like how slow the horse is when you first get it.... but now I see it just adds to this absolute masterpiece of a mods collection. This is 2023 Game of the Year.
I'm trying to find that out myself. Probably the cat caravan? Bits and Pieces in Solitude don't seem to have it, I punched the lady 10 times (that glitch to reset the inventory still works).
How can I get the Cardinal directions and locations on my HUD? I love how empty it feels making it more immersive but I still like the icons and Cardinal directions.
My one singular problem with the mod pack is the potions being set to these key binds. Animations for them don't seem to work for me so i just can't ever drink a potion lmao
Why i cannot start the main quest? "To start the main quest (MQ), tell the innkeeper at Helgen that you want her best room" and we start MQ? I must speak with Jarl ?Next question: im using middle game difficult. I am idiot or what but i cant kill first bandits :( I playd many times in skyrim and i dont know whats going on :)
I might, but currently it's quite easy to avoid attacks just by being careful so I'm afraid it might make things too easy. We'll see! You can install your own for now though. Others have done so without issue in the discord :)
I'm having a hard time blocking with a shield. I'm still new to Skyrim, so I'm not sure if blocking has been changed, or if I am not good at it. Should I go look up a vanilla blocking guide or do I check out the RTFM for a mod in the Gate pack?
Great collection, works perfectly fine. After playing for a couple of hours, I've experienced no crashes. Can I add simple mods like armor mods to this collection? I was thinking about adding Ulag's Legacy armors to this collection. Is this advisable? If it's possible, do I need to do anything else?
Hello, I have been playing this mod for a day and unfortunately, I have quite a problem. For some reason, I am unable to built fire, harvest wood and cure injuries. I even uninstalled the injury mod because it was quite literally unplayable. Does anybody know what could cause it? Thanks.
Finished downloading everything a few days ago, been playing it basically non stop One thing: How do I fix the campfire mod? Supposedly there's a mod with a skill tree accessible by creating a campfire but when I do it, I am locked out of all other magics, items, skills and the map.
@@marcusgrimmm Ohhhhh, I thought you were talking about that playstation game, makes more sense now XD You should totally check out RDR2 sometime though.
i haven't seen many collections, but this is pretty damn amazing i randomly managed to do a combat roll one time - is that a feature or how do i do that?
Hi I love this collection but I dont want my companions or pets to die or have a chance of dying, how do I remove that feature? I disabled follower death chance in vortex and the plugin, but it causes skyrim to crash on startup until I reenable it. Thank you.
@jayserpa just downloaded this collection. I’m having issues adjusting 1st person fov. I prefer to run around 100 fov and be able to see more of the weapons and arms in front of me. When I adjust the fov it does not affect the hands/arms distance from the screen. Anyway to fix this? Currently the hands and weapons barely fit on the screen they are so close to the camera no matter what fov I put into the console
You don't have to do anything with insights, they just allow you to learn that skill tree faster. The more insight you have in Smithing for example, the faster you will level it up.
hey gotta question im very new to mods so i might just be dumb LOL, but when i build the camp fire and interact i can only see the cooking option and no option to access skills. has anyone else had this issue or is there a different way to access the skills. it just immediately puts me into the cooking part right away.
Yes :) Open the game settings while in the game, select gameplay and lower the difficulty. There's no shame in doing this, first its a single player game, you make your own rules and second, the difficulty of the game is now harder by default. What used to be adept is now something like novice. Enjoy!
I just downloaded this mod collection and I’m blown away! The only issue is I have no compass and am not sure where I’m at. Is this supposed to be part of the collection?
Some injuries (bruises for example) cannot be treated. You just need to let time pass. You can equip a bandage for faster healing though. Just click on the bandage in your inventory and it will auto equip it.
I have a question, does archivements work with this collection? I suppose they are disabled but if I use the mod to enable them, would it impact in a negative way somehow? Im new to modding so sorry for the stupid question
Thats normal. Make sure you eat well, sleep, use a bandage and increase your health regeneration where possible. Serious concussions can take 7-10 days to heal, but following the advice above will speed up recovery.
I love the collection but the rain and snow effect on the screen and the no quest bar on top is making me go crazy, how can i change those complaints without leaving the collection
Easy to remember... H for Horse!!! 🐎 To open its inventory, press H while looking at the horse. If you crouch, look at the horse and press H, you can rename the horse. If the horse is far and you press H, you whistle and it comes to you.
I'm commander shepherd and this is my favorite collection on the nexus.

The follower thing is a bit weird in this collection, it seems like you can only have 1 "vanilla" follower but can have quite a few of the added modded followers. I currently have 1 vanilla and 3 modded followers and one just got stuck in a shop and won't come out.
awesome work thank you jayserpa
My playthrough of this collection has been amazing so far except for a few bugs here and there. Most notable is lanterns quit working on my character a while back and not sure why. And now Remi is in a shop and won't come out no matter what i say or do. Horse storage and saddle equipping is weird too. It's really pretty stable for the amount of mods though, and its an incredible achievement!
Thank you. This is a very helpful tutorial :)
its like a whole new game the actual amount of features and mechanics added through mods and the way it looks makes me want to play skyrim all over again. Never heard of Nexus collections I always just downloaded nexus mods 1 by 1 until it eventually broke the game lmao
What are the mods for combat stress and treating injuries, I dont want to play the modpack with them
Any way to add Legacy of the Dragonborn V6 to this list or would that be a bridge too far?
I wish collections and modlists were easier to install. As a MO2 user, I hate that collections only work for Vortex.
this modlist is extremely easy to install, just use vortex
I'm coming back to Skyrim and never downloaded a mod collection before. I'm the kind of person who likes to handpick the mods I'll play with. But, considering how much praise your collection is receiving and how I love every mod you made, I'm thinking about downloading it to save time. I have just a small question: can I choose to not install certain mods if I prefer other alternatives (I'm mainly thinking on some cosmetic mods) or will it break the collection?
Thanks in advance!
Yeah, cosmetic mods are definitely fine! Especially textures. If you have any issues feel free to stop by in the discord! Happy to help :)
@@JaySerpa thank you very much for the reply. I'll sure join the discord! Cheers!
Getting attacked by a vampire in riften and then going to jail because it's late is an interesting lore origins.
I am playing with the modlist and I love it, but I think we need a widget for survival needs.
Amazing modlist aside, jayserpa just seems like such a cool dude.
Hotkey to activate lantern is too overpowered. Must use at least 3 menus to properly balance
So I comprimise by using a non matinence wearable lanterns mod so I can skyui hotkey it, but only after obtaining it.
hell yeah
This gameplay combination looks great but I have to ask, can I play this list with a controller ?
I second this question.
You don't have the hotkey access easily, and I struggled to get Kontrol mod to work alongside but I know it will. Easy switching on favorites is the worst part of console on modded pc Skyrim
I'm such a big fan of yours and thank you for the video! I just downloaded a modpack with this feature and I didn't know this stuff!
Thanks for the video it's really helpful
my fatigue debilitated is not going away
After adding the collection, Skyrim won't load. It starts, and then after 2 seconds it crashes. No idea what to do.
I would like a guide if you maybe wanted to disable some of the survival components.
I've been discovering alot of these on my own. At first some of them annoyed me like how slow the horse is when you first get it.... but now I see it just adds to this absolute masterpiece of a mods collection.
This is 2023 Game of the Year.
Eventually the horse will be the fastest thing you've ever seen lol! It's hilarious haha. But first you gotta learn how to ride it 🐎
hi, how can i activate the compass, i don't want it hide. thanks
Where exactly do you buy/craft soap?
I'm trying to find that out myself. Probably the cat caravan? Bits and Pieces in Solitude don't seem to have it, I punched the lady 10 times (that glitch to reset the inventory still works).
Is this compatible with Lucien? Also, controller inputs???
How can I get the Cardinal directions and locations on my HUD? I love how empty it feels making it more immersive but I still like the icons and Cardinal directions.
So I have this glitch when I use the soap, my character starts using an instrument and also wants to place a chest I never bought, any fix?
On thing I don't get: why don't sometimes innkeeps refuse to rent you a room?
My one singular problem with the mod pack is the potions being set to these key binds. Animations for them don't seem to work for me so i just can't ever drink a potion lmao
Why i cannot start the main quest?
"To start the main quest (MQ), tell the innkeeper at Helgen that you want her best room" and we start MQ? I must speak with Jarl ?Next question: im using middle game difficult. I am idiot or what but i cant kill first bandits :( I playd many times in skyrim and i dont know whats going on :)
Great tips. Awesome Collection as well! Thank you! One question, do you ever plan to include any type of dodge mod? Just curious
All these things I usually add to other mod lists to get them how I want them and now it just exists. Just need a wabbajack install option.
thanks for the video bro, are u finnish?
so when i go into menus the time doesnt stop how do i change that?
HELLO Sir! We are trying to isolate the Mod in your pack that is Preventing us from spamming potions. Can you help us out Please?!?
The potion animation mod, can't remember the name
This is awesome. Can i disable the mods rhat change the character textures? I really like the vanilla ones, but dont want to break anything
Great collection, works perfectly fine. After playing for a couple of hours, I've experienced no crashes.
Can I add simple mods like armor mods to this collection? I was thinking about adding Ulag's Legacy armors to this collection. Is this advisable? If it's possible, do I need to do anything else?
This is everything elder scrolls was meant to be.
Hello, I have been playing this mod for a day and unfortunately, I have quite a problem. For some reason, I am unable to built fire, harvest wood and cure injuries. I even uninstalled the injury mod because it was quite literally unplayable. Does anybody know what could cause it? Thanks.
Finished downloading everything a few days ago, been playing it basically non stop
One thing: How do I fix the campfire mod? Supposedly there's a mod with a skill tree accessible by creating a campfire but when I do it, I am locked out of all other magics, items, skills and the map.
OK so this is the Horizon of Skyrim
I think the RDR2ification of Skyrim is a more accurate description.
I never played RDR2, I was referring to the Fallout 4 Horizon mod which also uses bandages for example@@Reds-Retros
@@marcusgrimmm Ohhhhh, I thought you were talking about that playstation game, makes more sense now XD
You should totally check out RDR2 sometime though.
so i just installed the modpack and my map is not coming up
I'm having a problem when I launch it where it crashes when I load. It gets to the loading wheel thing, and before the menu pops up it crashes

@@JaySerpaOh I figured it out, there were plugins that were disabled, re enabling them fixed it. Thank you though. Loving the collection so far
hello, I just downloaded the mod pack and the map is blank. Am I missing somthing? Or is it just a bug
i haven't seen many collections, but this is pretty damn amazing
i randomly managed to do a combat roll one time - is that a feature or how do i do that?
thank you bro...
can i stop wasting stamina while in sneak mode or this is forever? ;-;
Can I add this collection on top of Skyrim AE Nolvus v5 Ascension modpack without having problems or crashing with each other??
I'm new to modding
Hi I love this collection but I dont want my companions or pets to die or have a chance of dying, how do I remove that feature? I disabled follower death chance in vortex and the plugin, but it causes skyrim to crash on startup until I reenable it. Thank you.
@@shshshshsh7612 do not disable the plugins. Go to the mcm of the mod and turn the chances to 0
@@JaySerpa ah yes thank you
@jayserpa just downloaded this collection.
A lot of the time in video games they make the arms overlaid on your screen instead of actual 3d things, skyrim might have that
Does anyone knows how to use the insights? In vanilla you level up a skill by reading but in the modpack you get an insight. What does this do?
You don't have to do anything with insights, they just allow you to learn that skill tree faster. The more insight you have in Smithing for example, the faster you will level it up.
BRO JUST INSTALLED THIS MOD AND OMG I NEVER PLAYED SUCH A GOOD MODDED GAME NOT EVEN GTA HEAVLY MODDED CAN ACHIEVE SKYRIM HEAVILY MODDED
Is this playable on controller or what mods can I use to make it controller friendly?
How much does a pc that can run this optimally go for?
Would the open cities mod work with this or would it be too hardware intensive? I love the collection so far but I like having the seamless world.
Don't bother with open cities
hey gotta question im very new to mods so i might just be dumb LOL, but when i build the camp fire and interact i can only see the cooking option and no option to access skills. has anyone else had this issue or is there a different way to access the skills. it just immediately puts me into the cooking part right away.
Walk away from the fire and come back, the option should appear. Otherwise, try making a new campfire.
@@JaySerpa thank you so much works perfect now. loving gate to sovengarde amazing pack for my first modded skyrim experience
Hola amigo mio! Sabes aproximadamente cuando funcionará la colección con la nueva actualización de Bethesda ?
Ya esta listo, puedes jugar
Does anyone know what mod they use for potion animation in first person?
Hello! Is there a way to lower the difficulty of combat? I love this collection, but I'm a bit of a newbie and they kill me right away.
Another question, what is the main mod that all the npcs in the game talk about? I'm looking for how to translate it. Thank you so much...
Yes :) Open the game settings while in the game, select gameplay and lower the difficulty. There's no shame in doing this, first its a single player game, you make your own rules and second, the difficulty of the game is now harder by default. What used to be adept is now something like novice. Enjoy!
Something like I have head injure I play something like one week game time without helm
I just downloaded this mod collection and I’m blown away! The only issue is I have no compass and am not sure where I’m at. Is this supposed to be part of the collection?
Nvm just it’s on campfire 😂
Is it now a good time to start a playthrough? How long do you reckon till a revision than requires a new save?
I'm hoping this version lasts a while. I'll hopefully be taking a break from it for a little bit!
Thanks!
Hey man how do I fix my wounds I try to use the treat wounds thing but nothing pops up
Some injuries (bruises for example) cannot be treated. You just need to let time pass. You can equip a bandage for faster healing though. Just click on the bandage in your inventory and it will auto equip it.
has anyone else no start for the main quest ? started my charakter in bruma
I have a question, does archivements work with this collection? I suppose they are disabled but if I use the mod to enable them, would it impact in a negative way somehow? Im new to modding so sorry for the stupid question
They are enabled
how do i heal a concussion, had it for more than 3 in game days now lol
Thats normal. Make sure you eat well, sleep, use a bandage and increase your health regeneration where possible. Serious concussions can take 7-10 days to heal, but following the advice above will speed up recovery.
I love the collection but the rain and snow effect on the screen and the no quest bar on top is making me go crazy, how can i change those complaints without leaving the collection
Check the mcm of RASS
@@JaySerpa ty!. Wb the no quest bar on top of screen?
The compass? Read the FAQ in the collection page, it's explained there.
How do I access my horses inventory? I cant find anything on it anywhere
Easy to remember... H for Horse!!! 🐎
To open its inventory, press H while looking at the horse. If you crouch, look at the horse and press H, you can rename the horse. If the horse is far and you press H, you whistle and it comes to you.
@@JaySerpa appreciate it. My idiot friends roped me into league but I can't wait to put this to use. Great collection btw, loving it so far.
@JaySerpa i wanna know if its possible to edit yout collection without ruinning it, its is possible to do it?
Depends on what you want to edit haha! Join the discord and ask
@@JaySerpa hahaha, i got it. I will try. Thanks for replying.
Wish I could use this modlist :( but I play on Xbox and some mods aren’t available.
