So I restored all of the settings in inspector and just changed the DLSS preset but the nvidia ingame overlay only shows the image sharpening option and not the colored presets. What am I doing wrong?
Not sure what could cause that . The Ansel disable will not remove any settings it will only not allow them to take effect in the sim. So it must be something with overlays .
I use nvidia filter and FG option, but frankly speaking, due to my incompetence, I do not understand very well your warning. For instance I don't know what is the ansel. In other word having nvidia 4090 can i just update he dlls file to 3.7.0 and even update the dlss file frame generation without use nvidia inspector app? OUTSTANDING! I have spent YEARS trying to get my rig to work right (i9/12900KF, 3080ti, 64GB). After SU14 and SU15, my FPS tanked! I tried everything I could think of, but no combination of anything was getting more then 15-20fps in the sim, and even only 22-25 in the menu (the "hangar"). I could not be more grateful! I think the DLSS DLL and the Re-BAR changes did the trick. Now, in the sim I'm getting between 50-60fps, and 90-100fps in the hangar on the main menu. ALSO, the GPU and CPU utilization is actually down to about 90%/50% respectively. Thank you SOOOO much!! Really!! I can finally enjoy my sim instead of just trying to make it work all the time. Now I just need to freeze everything in time, so it doesn't revert! :)

I was flying in TAA in VR because in DLSS the writing in the dash and gauges was a little blurry, now with this I can fly in DLSS with no blurriness and 57 to 60 FPS constant! Smooth as butter. Don't know if this also works in DCS but it's worth a try, I'm basically running 90 FPS constant in DCS in VR, but hey I'll try it anyway. @@Swedish-VR-Pilot I'm not using the OxrTk, I'm using AutoFps with the Varjo Aero. Also using Process Lasso. I was using OxrTk a while back with the G2, but haven't used the G2 for a while. I'll try using OxrTk with the Varjo Aero to see what happens. I also stopped using it in DCS, so I'll have to try in both, who knows, maybe it could do some good, only tests will tell. I'll let you know.
Thanks for more useful tips sir! The older DLL Tweaks procedure was just too much to deal with just to test the change quality from 0.666 to 0.75 for me. I'm glad you discovered an easier way to do this and shared it, thank you again!!!! Keep these great suggestions coming!!!!! Because of them; starting this year was the first year in VR I could actually consistently achieve butter smooth and virtually stutter free framerates at only 30FPS in motion reprojection, (Which was the best settings I could achieve in my rig.) With all the updates to the program, by the end of last year, framerates were slipping down to 22.5 which was becoming unacceptable to even continue playing this until a major PC update in the future! Waiting to see what the 50 series will bring and try and get to 45FPS down the road!!!!!!!!

Hi there. I never use DLSS as often got better image quality and performance using TAA on my 3080ti system at 4K. Decided to give your video again and have Resize bar enabled, the latest 3.7 DLSS file installed and went through all the Inspector options you demonstrated. I do use Reshade but the sim graphics are now somewhat 'flat' and lacking the dynamic lighting previously featured. I assume it is because in Inspector the "TrueHDR" settings of the profile are all set to OFF. I do not have HDR10 enabled on my monitor as previous tests when enabled affect the sim, I see a moire type weird shimmer, especially on water. I have HDR disabled due to this but do like the changes I normally get in the dynamic lighting eg when look at brighter sky the internal cockpit lighting goes darker and vice versa. I have changed some TrueHDR settings in Inspector to Enabled so will restart and test.
Okay there is one thing if you're using shaders or overlays or filters over your Microsoft flight simulator image I posted a pin comment about this In the Nvidia profile inspector do not turn off the Ansel settings that I go over , I went over three Ansel settings if you turn those off It will disable any overlays so reset those to default by clicking on the little restore button next to the drop down I also show that in the video of how to do that
I have seemingly ruined my simulator updating to 3.7 dll. Before I had very few if any glitches, and now my simulator had a bunch of glitches and just crashed to my desktop. Ahh! I need to just leave things alone sometimes. My sim is running like crap now. It is totally my fault and not yours though. Every system is different. I want to thank you for all the work you do for the MSFS community.
no need to get frustrated you never know what is going to work on your system unless you try it. Simply revert the dll back to default or try the 3.6 version . some users had to roll back 1 due to some issues they have had with performance.
Update...for reasons unknown I had to reinstall my varjo base software after upgrading the DLL to 3.7. My computer would completely freeze when I plugged in my Aero. Everything is running fine now. Thanks again my friend!
I've been optimizing my PC for years but this right here is the reason why I haven't done mods yet. Recently my games had crazy ghosting after I just simply changed the scaling method. Granted I was changing settings a lot.... but still that took a whole day to fix so I'm not even gonna bother with this. Even though its tempting

Amazing tutorial. I had another issue that I am currently trying to tackle. Whenever I’m parked at the gate or taxing on the taxi way, the traffic around me has a blur or a fuzzy effect around the moving traffic. I have searching high and low on a fix to resolve this issue but had no luck. How do I resolve this issue?
I don't think I need Inspector except for the Preset E selection. I have both the new Nvidia Driver and DLSS 3.7 on my system and have had a doubling of FPS and some graphic quality improvements. Landed at IniBuilds EGLL with FSLTL traffic set to 70% and my FPS were in the high 70s/80s on final till roll out.. Just imagine if they would have made these LEAPS in the MSFS 2000-FSX days.
Yeah I go over several thing here but only use what you need . If you only want to change presets and scalling for dlss then use that part of the video . It's very easy to change dlss settings via the inspector and easy to go back as well. Thanks for your comment ..

Hey thanks for the comment ... yes for memory , nvidia changed the location . At the top click the magnifying glass to show all option then scroll down in the options section below the section I show in the video and it will be there .
Thanks for making these videos, especially for VR users. The dlss 3.7 on its own seemed to improve performance and ghosting was fairly low on the ultra quality setting in MSFS. Tried your extra steps with the inspector and it seemed to make ghosting worse on the Fenix a320 cockpit screens but improved fps, which i always struggle with the fenix. However part way into the flight my fps would crash to 20 for no particular reason and would bounce around from 20 to 35/37 at random. Will have to experiment with some of your settings ans see if i can get it go hold steady. Not sure why adding the E preset made ghosting worse though. Unless you've got any suggestions. Im running a 3080 with i7 10700k, virtual desktop.
Well like I say what works for 1 may not work for the other . The new preset has worked well for some and not others try preset F instead. Some people had to roll back to 3.6 due to artifacting so it's a try and test type of scenario.
If you're using DLaa then you don't need to force any scaling , That's the highest render level that you can pick.. Like I described in the video, If you're someone that cannot use the DLAA because it's too hard on your system and quality is just not good enough ,As far as clarity, and you have overhead, then you can force a higher resolution to get better image clarity.. As far as the profile to Select, I would use the best one for your system. Choose the profile that gives you the best performance as well As the best picture quality as far as ghosting. I use preset e as depicted in the video But that may not be the best for your system.
@@2020fsers Thanks alot. I put force render scaling to off and went with Preset F, it's made an unbelievable difference, no ghosting and really sharp instruments.
I've found some artifacts and ghosting when using the dlss 3.7. I wanted to know if you or anyone else is getting those back. I had to go back to 3.6 (dlss swapper). Beyond this, great video as usual. 🎉
I noticed slight artifacting almost like motion smoothing but it was only in certain areas and I thought it was my eyes some people have it worse from what I've seen but yeah 3.7 doesn't work roll back to 3.6 the only thing is you won't be able to use preset e in 3.6
Tried these DLSS changes with Ultra Quality on Cyberpunk 2077/Dragon's Dogma 2 and significantly changed the look for the better! Very happy with the results. Ghosting still there sadly.

Thank you ... no keep the ncp. They work as 1 unit they will not conflict. Think of it as an nvidia control panel on steroids that allows you to have much more control over all of the settings. So if you make a change in the nvidia control panel, it will also show up on the profile inspector.
@@2020fsersquestion: if I restore the settings to default within the profile inspector, will it also restore all settings to default within the NCP? Would that erase all your previously suggested changes, that so far have been a great improvement to the sim?
@TBMPilot736 yes it will anything you do in 1 will show in the other. Same if you reset your ncp setting they will reset in the profile inspector. Use the restore button to the right of the drop downs like I show to restore only the 1 setting

Yes preset e is made for dlss and should work well with the updated 3.7 dll file. But try f as well you may find you like 1 over the other. Scaling yes for sure if you are upscaling then using a higher scaling ratio may make things ever clearer for you but if you go to high your performance will drop. So start at .75 and work up until you get to the point where you feel your performance isn't good then drop back 1 scaling res. Thanks for the comment

In my case, geforce is the enable but the filters does not show up in my msfs2020, but when I play others games the filters shows up. Any idea? I already tried to reinstall the geforce. I went to control panel and reinstall some drivers, but still nothing
Ok try this in the profile inspector reset all to default for msfs and retest . If it works it may be the Ansel options that I turned off in the inspector if that's the case don't turn those off like I did but everything else should be ok. I don't use filters I actually debloat my driver so I remove everything but what I need and that includes GeForce.
Yeah the 3 Ansel options I turned off just click on the restore button to the right of the drop down box to restore each 1 back to default. That's the only change .
@@2020fsers I understand you when you play at 5k and add the filters it looks more realistic, it is respectable for those who like the image, and for others the performance and for another group an intermediate point of both. I appreciate your time too much

I do have 2-3 questions, while using a very similar setup (4090 Crystal while on FS2020 the system is running stable CPU load +- 30% and GPU +- 90%) What I am especially trying to fix is stuttering with the Crystal in cockpit while moving my head?? I´ve tried a lot of things while I think its FS2020 not the system (no problems with DCS), but never really getting in a smooth experience. Do you have similar issues and may have tips, or directions I have to look for? 2. Any reason why you are not using Framegen and DLAA? best regards
Thanks for the comment so first off I do not have a 40 series graphics card I have an RTX 3080 TI. Second frame generation does not work in VR. I am using dx11 As well as the open XR tool kit and pimax XR to bypass steam. I have my render resolution set at 100% in the pimax pie tool or whatever it's called and in the open XR toolkit I've rendered at 3900 and I'm also using dlss quality and I get anywhere between 35 to 45 FPS and it's smooth. try switching out of dx12 and go to dx11 when I use dx12 and VR it's horribly stuttering.
Hi Mate, followed all your instructions step by step, ive manually updated my dlss fiel as the dlss swapper wouldnt let me import, id click on it and nothing happens. now in my nvidia control panel my first option is Compatibility, I dont have the true hdr and dlss options? ive checked and my rebar is enabled. Any ideas guys?
Hello you shouldn't need to import the files anymore in the swapper they are all up to date in the tool now. 2nd for the inspector issue that means you didn't input the xml file into the profile inspector folder .
@@2020fsers Hi Mate, Thanks for the fast reply, I downloaded a dlss frame gen file through your video link, i copy and pasted it into msfs folder, it asked to replace my old one, i clicked yes, Will it be okay to leave that in there? in the dlSS swapper app i updated it in there to version 3.7.0.0. _ As for the XML file do you have a video link where to get it and drop it in the inspector folder please? ive confused myself with all this lol
the xml link is in the description .. and yes if you replaced the one you have then thats ok .. in the future use the current 1 as a backup by changing the .dll to .bak and then copy the new file in there and it wont overwrite the default file.
Hello, I did everything that was said in this video, I use TAA 2560x1440p, I have a 4070 and an I5 14600KF and 64gb ram, I see the airplane screens as very bright and they flicker when I move the camera, and they look a little blurry when I move away a little. i need more info . are you using dlss dll 3.7? if so revert back to default and test again to narrow it down. Are you using frame gen if so turn it off and retest .

I haven't made any changes in DLSS files because I want first to thoroughly digest all the videos on these manual modifications. So the question is this: if using DSLL Tweaks, a part of the process includes a Registry edit. WHY is that Registery edit not done with this Profile-Inspector method of introducing the E presets? I ask because I'm left a little concerned that the process described in this video might be incomplete
@@2020fsers I'm talking about the .reg file that's included in the DLSS Tweaks download. It creates a new Registry entry without which the E presets will not be effective. Since the net result of what you're doing with Profile Inspector is identical to what DLSS 3.7 + DLSS Tweaks does, it's important to understand how or why the Registry edit is so important in one method but not used in the other
Ok like I asked what is the purpose of the reg edit? the reason is because the dlss tweaks require you to replace a nvngx.dll file and because you are replacing that file you need a reg edit so that it does not do a signature check on that file. It states all of this on the webpage for the dlss tweaks tool . With the nvidia profile inspector you are not replacing any dll file so signature checks will be fine. I did my research and I wouldn't show things half way . Here is the page take a look github.com/emoose/DLSSTweaks From the site However this method requires a small registry tweak to be applied first to stop DLSS from checking the nvngx.dll signature. After setting up the registry tweak you should be able to just copy the nvngx.dll & dlsstweaks.ini files next to your game EXE, and it should hopefully load into the game fine. Hello my friend . I have the Rtx 4070ti graphics card and ryzen 5 5600X processor. I use Fenix a320 and fsltl traffic modes. I also fly many times at Modlu new Istanbul airport. But fps travel around 20-30. Moreover, my dlss setting is like this even though dlaa and nvidia square creation is on. If I make the settings you made, will I see an increase in fps? thats hard to determine if you would see a fps boost . every system is different and ive heard all kinds of outcomes some people get a 5 to 10 fps boost just from updating the dll file and other dont see a increase . its just something that you would have to try .
for the DLSS scaling ratio. once i set to 0.88. what do i set in my MSFS ingame settings? should i leave it on DLAA in game or Quality? can i mess with the scaling ratio in profile inspector while in MSFS? thank you for the time!
ok once you force a scaling setting in the profile inspector it overrides all of the dlss settings other than dlaa . so if you look at the options you have in the sim is now ultra quality , quality , balanced , performance and ultra performance . since you forced a scaling ratio of .88 that overrides all of those options so you can set the in sim setting to performance and it will still render at .88. but do not set the in sim to dlaa as that will be different , that is the highest scaling method dlss dlaa. i assume scaling ratios need to be set when the sim is not running but i havent tested that.

In Microsoft flight simulator in the FPS tool. What FPS are you running? What is your v RAM usage? And what does it say is limiting you?
I would try preset e to start. And then you can try the dlss scaling settings start low like .75 and work your way up until the performance starts to go down.
I've imported and installed version 3.7 of the DLSS .dll and enabled DLSS Preset E in Profile Inspector. I'll run the sim without Frame Generation but with DLSS set to DLAA. My driver is not the latest but I've stayed with it because the sim is running perfectly stably and smoothly with it. Is it important for the new preset to be run with the latest Nvidia driver, or does it work equally well with other "recent" drivers?
I think it should work with all drivers. The setting isn't available unless you update the dll file so I think it falls back on the dll file more so than the driver. If you revert back to v3.6 dll the preset e won't be available.
Not sure I understand what you are asking what settings in particular 🤔 I went over everything in the video and what I recommend and how to change dlss settings. You have to use the settings that work best for you on your system.
Please remember not all settings will yield the same results on all systems. For some it has removed all ghosting and others like myself I still see a small bit however it is less than before. You can also try other presets to see what yields you the best results. We need to try everything because you dont really know what will work best until you try it.
Everything in flight is working really well but whenever I bring up a UI window like ATC or the VFR map it sort of tears and glitches when I turn my head using Tobii eye tracker?
Ahh, ok well if your using vr then dldsr is moot because you'r not using monitor anyway. I'd run native anyway because you want as less stress on the gpu from your monitor as possible.
I don't know what happens here on my PC, but in my NVIDIA Profile Inspector the DLSS options do not appear as shown in yours. My GPU driver (4060Ti) is already updated to the latest version and my DLSS is already 3.7. What could be happening?
Thanks for the video but these settings do nothing, nothing (including the nVidia CP settings) to improve my MSFS experience on a RTX 4070, 11th gen core I9 (tiger lake) and always the PiMax Crystal VR headset - VR is absolutely stunning! All I want is crisp visual especially the instrument panel and smooth scenery motion in built up areas. What I have done is the nVidia clean install of drivers, loaded the nvidia dllsg, and the other 3.7 dlss using the dlss swapper. I get the same performance using a standard install of the nVidia drivers (not using the clean install) and the default settings for profile inspector and the nVidia CP.... I guess it comes down to do what works for you. I get the better performance using TAA using a setting of 60-70 in MSFS than using the better quality image with nVidia DLSS super resolution for both quality and ultra quality. I am not chasing FPS I just want clarity and smooth scenery flow.
hello my friend what driver version are you using with dlss swapper 3.7.1 because msfs is unplayable with 3.7.1 with my driver version 556.12 really bad stutters. think it could be the 3.7.1 dlls swapper, not sure but I do know dlss swapper 3.7.0 worked flawlessly. not sure what's going on maybe its msfs sim update. so I was going to use what you are using or are you having any problems with msfs in vr of course thats all i use. thanks buddy for any info that can help me get back up in the air lol
After doing this it seems my whole sim reset itself or something. It's asking me to choose graphic settings, hardware settings etc. All butting mappings are gone. Not sure what went wrong here.
I'm not sure either that is the first I have heard that. Im sorry you had to reset everything it's never my intention for mishaps to occur but with pc I guess anything is possible .
Hello, My Nvidia profile inspector shows MSFS rBAR options but not my Nvidia control panel. Would it work if I enabled it through inspector settings or do I need to go through the steps of updating bios?
I'm not sure I understand.. I go over in the video where to download The profile Inspector as well as the x ML file to install into the folder. Microsoft flight simulator is not a factor in any of the process.

Your welcome yes all the other settings should be fine. Make sure to try preset e for dlss. One quick note if you use any in nvidia filters Then do not turn off the 3 Ansel setting that I go over leave those default.

Man, thank you! This is Great. I was flying in TAA in VR because in DLSS the writing in the dash and gauges was a little blurry, now with this I can fly in DLSS with no blurriness and 57 to 60 FPS constant! Smooth as butter.
Don't know if this also works in DCS but it's worth a try, I'm basically running 90 FPS constant in DCS in VR, but hey I'll try it anyway.

@@Swedish-VR-Pilot I'm not using the OxrTk, I'm using AutoFps with the Varjo Aero. Also using Process Lasso. I was using OxrTk a while back with the G2, but haven't used the G2 for a while. I'll try using OxrTk with the Varjo Aero to see what happens. I also stopped using it in DCS, so I'll have to try in both, who knows, maybe it could do some good, only tests will tell. I'll let you know.

I'm glad you discovered an easier way to do this and shared it, thank you again!!!! Keep these great suggestions coming!!!!! Because of them; starting this year was the first year in VR I could actually consistently achieve butter smooth and virtually stutter free framerates at only 30FPS in motion reprojection, (Which was the best settings I could achieve in my rig.) With all the updates to the program, by the end of last year, framerates were slipping down to 22.5 which was becoming unacceptable to even continue playing this until a major PC update in the future! Waiting to see what the 50 series will bring and try and get to 45FPS down the road!!!!!!!!

Hi there. I never use DLSS as often got better image quality and performance using TAA on my 3080ti system at 4K. Decided to give your video again and have Resize bar enabled, the latest 3.7 DLSS file installed and went through all the Inspector options you demonstrated. I do use Reshade but the sim graphics are now somewhat 'flat' and lacking the dynamic lighting previously featured. I assume it is because in Inspector the "TrueHDR" settings of the profile are all set to OFF. I do not have HDR10 enabled on my monitor as previous tests when enabled affect the sim, I see a moire type weird shimmer, especially on water. I have HDR disabled due to this but do like the changes I normally get in the dynamic lighting eg when look at brighter sky the internal cockpit lighting goes darker and vice versa. I have changed some TrueHDR settings in Inspector to Enabled so will restart and test.
Okay there is one thing if you're using shaders or overlays or filters over your Microsoft flight simulator image I posted a pin comment about this In the Nvidia profile inspector do not turn off the Ansel settings that I go over , I went over three Ansel settings if you turn those off It will disable any overlays so reset those to default by clicking on the little restore button next to the drop down I also show that in the video of how to do that
I have seemingly ruined my simulator updating to 3.7 dll. Before I had very few if any glitches, and now my simulator had a bunch of glitches and just crashed to my desktop. Ahh! I need to just leave things alone sometimes. My sim is running like crap now. It is totally my fault and not yours though. Every system is different. I want to thank you for all the work you do for the MSFS community.
no need to get frustrated you never know what is going to work on your system unless you try it. Simply revert the dll back to default or try the 3.6 version . some users had to roll back 1 due to some issues they have had with performance.
Update...for reasons unknown I had to reinstall my varjo base software after upgrading the DLL to 3.7. My computer would completely freeze when I plugged in my Aero. Everything is running fine now. Thanks again my friend!

Recently my games had crazy ghosting after I just simply changed the scaling method. Granted I was changing settings a lot.... but still that took a whole day to fix so I'm not even gonna bother with this. Even though its tempting

Amazing tutorial. I had another issue that I am currently trying to tackle. Whenever I’m parked at the gate or taxing on the taxi way, the traffic around me has a blur or a fuzzy effect around the moving traffic. I have searching high and low on a fix to resolve this issue but had no luck. How do I resolve this issue?

I don't think I need Inspector except for the Preset E selection. I have both the new Nvidia Driver and DLSS 3.7 on my system and have had a doubling of FPS and some graphic quality improvements. Landed at IniBuilds EGLL with FSLTL traffic set to 70% and my FPS were in the high 70s/80s on final till roll out.. Just imagine if they would have made these LEAPS in the MSFS 2000-FSX days.
Yeah I go over several thing here but only use what you need . If you only want to change presets and scalling for dlss then use that part of the video . It's very easy to change dlss settings via the inspector and easy to go back as well. Thanks for your comment ..

Thanks for making these videos, especially for VR users. The dlss 3.7 on its own seemed to improve performance and ghosting was fairly low on the ultra quality setting in MSFS. Tried your extra steps with the inspector and it seemed to make ghosting worse on the Fenix a320 cockpit screens but improved fps, which i always struggle with the fenix. However part way into the flight my fps would crash to 20 for no particular reason and would bounce around from 20 to 35/37 at random. Will have to experiment with some of your settings ans see if i can get it go hold steady. Not sure why adding the E preset made ghosting worse though. Unless you've got any suggestions.

Well like I say what works for 1 may not work for the other . The new preset has worked well for some and not others try preset F instead. Some people had to roll back to 3.6 due to artifacting so it's a try and test type of scenario.

If you're using DLaa then you don't need to force any scaling , That's the highest render level that you can pick.. Like I described in the video, If you're someone that cannot use the DLAA because it's too hard on your system and quality is just not good enough ,As far as clarity, and you have overhead, then you can force a higher resolution to get better image clarity.. As far as the profile to Select, I would use the best one for your system. Choose the profile that gives you the best performance as well As the best picture quality as far as ghosting. I use preset e as depicted in the video But that may not be the best for your system.
@@2020fsers Thanks alot. I put force render scaling to off and went with Preset F, it's made an unbelievable difference, no ghosting and really sharp instruments.

I've found some artifacts and ghosting when using the dlss 3.7. I wanted to know if you or anyone else is getting those back. I had to go back to 3.6 (dlss swapper). Beyond this, great video as usual. 🎉
I noticed slight artifacting almost like motion smoothing but it was only in certain areas and I thought it was my eyes some people have it worse from what I've seen but yeah 3.7 doesn't work roll back to 3.6 the only thing is you won't be able to use preset e in 3.6
Tried these DLSS changes with Ultra Quality on Cyberpunk 2077/Dragon's Dogma 2 and significantly changed the look for the better! Very happy with the results. Ghosting still there sadly.

Thank you ... no keep the ncp. They work as 1 unit they will not conflict. Think of it as an nvidia control panel on steroids that allows you to have much more control over all of the settings. So if you make a change in the nvidia control panel, it will also show up on the profile inspector.

@TBMPilot736 yes it will anything you do in 1 will show in the other. Same if you reset your ncp setting they will reset in the profile inspector. Use the restore button to the right of the drop downs like I show to restore only the 1 setting

Yes preset e is made for dlss and should work well with the updated 3.7 dll file. But try f as well you may find you like 1 over the other.
Scaling yes for sure if you are upscaling then using a higher scaling ratio may make things ever clearer for you but if you go to high your performance will drop. So start at .75 and work up until you get to the point where you feel your performance isn't good then drop back 1 scaling res. Thanks for the comment

Are you using dx11 or 12? I get those additional setting choices when I use dx12.

Ok try this in the profile inspector reset all to default for msfs and retest . If it works it may be the Ansel options that I turned off in the inspector if that's the case don't turn those off like I did but everything else should be ok. I don't use filters I actually debloat my driver so I remove everything but what I need and that includes GeForce.

Yeah the 3 Ansel options I turned off just click on the restore button to the right of the drop down box to restore each 1 back to default. That's the only change .

I do have 2-3 questions, while using a very similar setup (4090 Crystal while on FS2020 the system is running stable CPU load +- 30% and GPU +- 90%)
What I am especially trying to fix is stuttering with the Crystal in cockpit while moving my head?? I´ve tried a lot of things while I think its FS2020 not the system (no problems with DCS), but never really getting in a smooth experience.

Thanks for the comment so first off I do not have a 40 series graphics card I have an RTX 3080 TI. Second frame generation does not work in VR. I am using dx11 As well as the open XR tool kit and pimax XR to bypass steam. I have my render resolution set at 100% in the pimax pie tool or whatever it's called and in the open XR toolkit I've rendered at 3900 and I'm also using dlss quality and I get anywhere between 35 to 45 FPS and it's smooth. try switching out of dx12 and go to dx11 when I use dx12 and VR it's horribly stuttering.
And I don't use d l a a because my frame rate at a 3900 render resolution I'm only getting about 25 FPS

Hi Mate, followed all your instructions step by step, ive manually updated my dlss fiel as the dlss swapper wouldnt let me import, id click on it and nothing happens. now in my nvidia control panel my first option is Compatibility, I dont have the true hdr and dlss options? ive checked and my rebar is enabled. Hello you shouldn't need to import the files anymore in the swapper they are all up to date in the tool now. 2nd for the inspector issue that means you didn't input the xml file into the profile inspector folder .

the xml link is in the description .. and yes if you replaced the one you have then thats ok .. in the future use the current 1 as a backup by changing the .dll to .bak and then copy the new file in there and it wont overwrite the default file.

Hello, I did everything that was said in this video, I use TAA 2560x1440p, I have a 4070 and an I5 14600KF and 64gb ram, I see the airplane screens as very bright and they flicker when I move the camera, and they look a little blurry when I move away a little. If I'm closer it looks better, could you help me, thank you.
i need more info . are you using dlss dll 3.7? if so revert back to default and test again to narrow it down. Are you using frame gen if so turn it off and retest .

That means you did not either download the latest nvidia profile inspector or you didn't install the xml file I show in the video.

It depends .. do you use dlss? If so yes it would be good so you can adjust the presets and scaling options if you need.

When we update the Gpu driver, we have to redo these steps. I just updated and noticed that everything went back to default
When you update your driver the dll file will stay the same but your nvidia panel settings as well.as inspector settings will need to be reset.

I do not know what that error is. You probably tried to open it and got that error. No need to open it just input in the profile inspector folder.

I would switch to dlss dll 3.7 that may give you more fps . Lots of taa people have said that. Also rebar may also help you for latency.

I haven't made any changes in DLSS files because I want first to thoroughly digest all the videos on these manual modifications. So the question is this: if using DSLL Tweaks, a part of the process includes a Registry edit. WHY is that Registery edit not done with this Profile-Inspector method of introducing the E presets?
I ask because I'm left a little concerned that the process described in this video might be incomplete
What registry edit are you talking about ? And why is it needed?
@@2020fsers I'm talking about the .reg file that's included in the DLSS Tweaks download. It creates a new Registry entry without which the E presets will not be effective. Since the net result of what you're doing with Profile Inspector is identical to what DLSS 3.7 + DLSS Tweaks does, it's important to understand how or why the Registry edit is so important in one method but not used in the other
Ok like I asked what is the purpose of the reg edit? the reason is because the dlss tweaks require you to replace a nvngx.dll file and because you are replacing that file you need a reg edit so that it does not do a signature check on that file. It states all of this on the webpage for the dlss tweaks tool . With the nvidia profile inspector you are not replacing any dll file so signature checks will be fine. I did my research and I wouldn't show things half way . Here is the page take a look

But fps travel around 20-30. Moreover, my dlss setting is like this even though dlaa and nvidia square creation is on. If I make the settings you made, will I see an increase in fps? thats hard to determine if you would see a fps boost . every system is different and ive heard all kinds of outcomes some people get a 5 to 10 fps boost just from updating the dll file and other dont see a increase . its just something that you would have to try .

for the DLSS scaling ratio. once i set to 0.88. what do i set in my MSFS ingame settings? should i leave it on DLAA in game or Quality? can i mess with the scaling ratio in profile inspector while in MSFS? thank you for the time!
ok once you force a scaling setting in the profile inspector it overrides all of the dlss settings other than dlaa . so if you look at the options you have in the sim is now ultra quality , quality , balanced , performance and ultra performance . since you forced a scaling ratio of .88 that overrides all of those options so you can set the in sim setting to performance and it will still render at .88. but do not set the in sim to dlaa as that will be different , that is the highest scaling method dlss dlaa. i assume scaling ratios need to be set when the sim is not running but i havent tested that.

And what does it say is limiting you?
I would try preset e to start. And then you can try the dlss scaling settings start low like .75 and work your way up until the performance starts to go down.
I've imported and installed version 3.7 of the DLSS .dll and enabled DLSS Preset E in Profile Inspector. I'll run the sim without Frame Generation but with DLSS set to DLAA. My driver is not the latest but I've stayed with it because the sim is running perfectly stably and smoothly with it.
Is it important for the new preset to be run with the latest Nvidia driver, or does it work equally well with other "recent" drivers?
I think it should work with all drivers. The setting isn't available unless you update the dll file so I think it falls back on the dll file more so than the driver. If you revert back to v3.6 dll the preset e won't be available.

Not sure I understand what you are asking what settings in particular 🤔 I went over everything in the video and what I recommend and how to change dlss settings. You have to use the settings that work best for you on your system.

Please remember not all settings will yield the same results on all systems. For some it has removed all ghosting and others like myself I still see a small bit however it is less than before. You can also try other presets to see what yields you the best results. We need to try everything because you dont really know what will work best until you try it.

Ahh, ok well if your using vr then dldsr is moot because you'r not using monitor anyway. I'd run native anyway because you want as less stress on the gpu from your monitor as possible.
I don't know what happens here on my PC, but in my NVIDIA Profile Inspector the DLSS options do not appear as shown in yours. My GPU driver (4060Ti) is already updated to the latest version and my DLSS is already 3.7. What could be happening?
That means you did not copy the xML file (that I show in the video) into the nvidia profile inspector folder.
Thanks for the video but these settings do nothing, nothing (including the nVidia CP settings) to improve my MSFS experience on a RTX 4070, 11th gen core I9 (tiger lake) and always the PiMax Crystal VR headset - VR is absolutely stunning! All I want is crisp visual especially the instrument panel and smooth scenery motion in built up areas. What I have done is the nVidia clean install of drivers, loaded the nvidia dllsg, and the other 3.7 dlss using the dlss swapper. I get the same performance using a standard install of the nVidia drivers (not using the clean install) and the default settings for profile inspector and the nVidia CP.... I guess it comes down to do what works for you. I get the better performance using TAA using a setting of 60-70 in MSFS than using the better quality image with nVidia DLSS super resolution for both quality and ultra quality. I am not chasing FPS I just want clarity and smooth scenery flow.
hello my friend what driver version are you using with dlss swapper 3.7.1 because msfs is unplayable with 3.7.1 with my driver version 556.12 really bad stutters. think it could be the 3.7.1 dlls swapper, not sure but I do know dlss swapper 3.7.0 worked flawlessly. not sure what's going on maybe its msfs sim update. so I was going to use what you are using or are you having any problems with msfs in vr of course thats all i use. thanks buddy for any info that can help me get back up in the air lol
Im the latest studio driver 555.99 or something like that no issue and has been smooth .

After doing this it seems my whole sim reset itself or something. It's asking me to choose graphic settings, hardware settings etc. All butting mappings are gone. Not sure what went wrong here.
I'm not sure either that is the first I have heard that. Im sorry you had to reset everything it's never my intention for mishaps to occur but with pc I guess anything is possible .
Hello, My Nvidia profile inspector shows MSFS rBAR options but not my Nvidia control panel. Would it work if I enabled it through inspector settings or do I need to go through the steps of updating bios?
Did you enable rebar in your bios?
if you don't have any nvidia component would it still work?

I'm not sure I understand.. I go over in the video where to download The profile Inspector as well as the x ML file to install into the folder. Microsoft flight simulator is not a factor in any of the process.

Im on drivers 552.22 and my Inspector is version 2.4.0.4 but mines does not have #1 True HDR or #2 DLSS sections

If you're not able to use Rebar, then don't mess with the settings In the inspector tool for rebar

Your welcome yes all the other settings should be fine. Make sure to try preset e for dlss. One quick note if you use any in nvidia filters Then do not turn off the 3 Ansel setting that I go over leave those default.
